If you go by internet searches, John McCain is generating more buzz than Mitt Romney and Hillary Clinton is generating more buzz than Barack Obama. Or, there are more people looking for dirt on McCain and Clinton than Romney and Obama.

We discussed that when he first floated the idea. The problem is, by the time you get the environmental impact surveys etc done you’re several years into the future. It won’t have any impact in the short term. Also, road projects are too regional at a time when Washington wants to buy votes wholesale nationwide.

Yesterday I asked my high school seniors who of them were already 18…and then I asked them if they were registered to vote in the primary today. Not a single one was.

Call it heresy, but maybe that’s not such a bad thing.

Sigh.

I don’t call it heresy at all. I don’t believe EVERYONE should vote. If you don’t care about/follow/understand politics at all don’t screw it up for the rest of us.

They should bring back the voting tests. You should know something about American History, Politics and the issues to be allowed to vote. OH…and show valid ID.

A friend of mine is a registered Democrat and emailed me yesterday that he heard he wouldn’t be able to vote for Romney at his NJ primary today because he didn’t switch parties in time! Please people, if you want to switch party’s find out the rules in your state and do it before it is too late!

Agreed. If you need pop stars to cajole you into getting off your lazy rear and to your polling place, if you rely on soundbytes from celebs for your information on issues feel free to stay at home. We do not need your vote.

Consider the percentage of people who take the trouble to keep themselves informed and compare that to the percentage who vote. That gap is already too large.

If you don’t feel the right to vote is inportant enough to exercise then please stay at home and watch American Idol.

Oh, God, there’s a Robo-Spike Lee on the loose? I imagine it’s like a scrawny Terminator that talks you to death.

I haven’t gotten any robo-calls, but I did get an email from a Reverend Yearwood of the Hip Hop Caucus urging me to “Take Action to End Greed and Share America’s Wealth.”

At best, getting run over by the Clinton freight train; particularly if Hillary should manage to win this thing. I was gonna say Foster’s disease, but that’s way farfetched….riiiiight?
