Super Duper Tuesday catch-all

If you go by internet searches, John McCain is generating more buzz than Mitt Romney and Hillary Clinton is generating more buzz than Barack Obama. Or, there are more people looking for dirt on McCain and Clinton than Romney and Obama.

Reason to vote for a politician: They can get things done that I want done. Reason to vote against a politician: They can get things done that I don’t want done.

Sen. McCain, John Mellencamp called. He wants his leftist songs back.

Is John Kerry scared of the Clintons? He says he endorsed Obama at “great risk.” Of what?

This sign should be placed outside all the Capitol entrances and exits.

Why kick a team while they’re down? Because they’re the Patriots and they nailed an epic fail on Sunday.

Re. the “stimulus package”–Huck has a point about building America’s infrastructure instead, which will in turn help the economy.

jgapinoy on February 5, 2008 at 9:41 AM

We need that sign up in every city in America! AWESOME!

pilamaye on February 5, 2008 at 9:43 AM

Great sign.

We discussed that when he first floated the idea. The problem is, by the time you get the environmental impact surveys etc done you’re several years into the future. It won’t have any impact in the short term. Also, road projects are too regional at a time when Washington wants to buy votes wholesale nationwide.

Bryan on February 5, 2008 at 9:47 AM

Great sign.

Pitiful Senator who served in Vietnam.

fogw on February 5, 2008 at 9:47 AM

Yesterday I asked my high school seniors who of them were already 18…and then I asked them if they were registered to vote in the primary today. Not a single one was.

Call it heresy, but maybe that’s not such a bad thing.

Sigh.

Bob's Kid on February 5, 2008 at 9:49 AM

Obviously, the Letterman writers are still on strike.

cat-scratch on February 5, 2008 at 9:50 AM

Drop those responsible for the sign a note to let them know you appreciate the effort:

Interstate AC Service

Valiant on February 5, 2008 at 9:53 AM

I would donate money to put a sign like that right outside the entrance to the United States Capitol Building.

Planet Boulder on February 5, 2008 at 9:53 AM

Maybe John Effing Kerry has been betting Teresa’s fortune on Obama at In Trade?

Anyhoo, I gather we are meant to be impressed by his extraordinary courage. Didn’t he serve in Vietnam too?

Buy Danish on February 5, 2008 at 9:55 AM

Kerry will do what ever Teddy tells him.

Great sign….

Kicking the Pat’s while their down.

roux on February 5, 2008 at 9:57 AM

He says he endorsed Obama at “great risk.” Of what?

Ft. Marcy Park.

Mrs.737 and I are on our way to vote (for Mitt!). She got a robophone call today from Spike Lee telling her to ‘do the right thing’, vote for Obama. Yet another celebrity endorsment wasted.

Bob’s Kid on February 5, 2008 at 9:49 AM

See, if you were a leftist teacher you would have brought them the registration cards and made voting in the primary a class assignment. After you had throughly indoctrinated them to have the audacity to hope.

TX Mom on February 5, 2008 at 10:01 AM

Ooops! I wasn’t finished yet. The message from Spike Lee said to vote for Obama … TOMORROW! HAAAAA hahahahahahahahahaaaaa

Tony737 on February 5, 2008 at 10:02 AM

Valiant on February 5, 2008 at 9:53 AM

Awesome. I was going to ask where it was.

TX Mom on February 5, 2008 at 10:02 AM

My sentiments exactly.

Bob’s Kid on February 5, 2008 at 9:49 AM

I don’t call it heresy at all. I don’t believe EVERYONE should vote. If you don’t care about/follow/understand politics at all don’t screw it up for the rest of us.

They should bring back the voting tests. You should know something about American History, Politics and the issues to be allowed to vote. OH…and show valid ID.

tickleddragon on February 5, 2008 at 10:30 AM

Love the sign, too, btw. But I have to admit that I’m FOR them giving me my money back thru the stimulus package.

tickleddragon on February 5, 2008 at 10:31 AM

A friend of mine is a registered Democrat and emailed me yesterday that he heard he wouldn’t be able to vote for Romney at his NJ primary today because he didn’t switch parties in time! Please people, if you want to switch party’s find out the rules in your state and do it before it is too late!

ctmom on February 5, 2008 at 10:38 AM

Agreed. If you need pop stars to cajole you into getting off your lazy rear and to your polling place, if you rely on soundbytes from celebs for your information on issues feel free to stay at home. We do not need your vote.

Consider the percentage of people who take the trouble to keep themselves informed and compare that to the percentage who vote. That gap is already too large.

If you don’t feel the right to vote is inportant enough to exercise then please stay at home and watch American Idol.

RDuke on February 5, 2008 at 11:05 AM

Oh, God, there’s a Robo-Spike Lee on the loose? I imagine it’s like a scrawny Terminator that talks you to death.

I haven’t gotten any robo-calls, but I did get an email from a Reverend Yearwood of the Hip Hop Caucus urging me to “Take Action to End Greed and Share America’s Wealth.”

“A first step towards economic equality is taxing these buyout billionaires at a fair tax rate. It will not solve all the problems, but it is a strong and forceful beginning…”

saint kansas on February 5, 2008 at 11:27 AM

I just proudly cast my vote for Mitt! We took our daughter, gotta teach ‘em right early. :-)

Tony737 on February 5, 2008 at 11:31 AM

Is John Kerry scared of the Clintons? He says he endorsed Obama at “great risk.” Of what?

At best, getting run over by the Clinton freight train; particularly if Hillary should manage to win this thing. I was gonna say Foster’s disease, but that’s way farfetched….riiiiight?

Kid from Brooklyn on February 5, 2008 at 11:31 AM

John Kerry: “When you endorse someone early, you run the risk of being for a losing candidate.” Well said, John. You know all about losing candidates, laugh out loud.

Doug on February 5, 2008 at 11:37 AM

I found a web site for them but I can’t get it to load:

http://www.interstateac.com/

Anybody get it to load?

davidk on February 5, 2008 at 11:44 AM

Kerry doesn’t have to worry about risk, he’ll always be a looser.

Best sign since this signs

Obviously, the Letterman writers are still on strike.

cat-scratch on February 5, 2008 at 9:50 AM

Ever since the show opened.

Kini on February 5, 2008 at 12:04 PM

Wow, Letterman looks awful! Of course I haven’t bothered with any of those shows since ‘98.

Where do I go to get one of those signs put up in front of my house?

srhoades on February 5, 2008 at 1:58 PM

davidk on February 5, 2008 at 11:44 AM

Won’t load for me either.

srhoades on February 5, 2008 at 2:01 PM

I want that sign.

Capitana on February 5, 2008 at 6:05 PM

At risk of not getting on someone else’s coattails.

Tzetzes on February 5, 2008 at 6:34 PM

WHITE ZOMBIE.
