Liberals are right because they care more. Its the key to everything.

AbaddonsReign on February 4, 2008 at 10:19 PM

Says it all.

You and Bryan have been saying it for months now, and we agree, and the audience agrees, we all agree he is very likable, cant hate him, but he has no substance.

sorry to go OT on you AP, on a new thread, but

Ah, I knew you’d come through with this one AP! It’s disturbing how much I enjoyed this. Hannity isn’t always the brightest bulb, but damn! He wasted the Obamites!

The sad thing about this is that most will never hear about this, and I’d like to believe that if Obama supporters were presented with this fact they’d have to question how they’ve been tricked in to believing that Mr. O has any substance. All this “bipartisan hero” nonsense the country has been fed is crap, as we know he’s the most liberal Senator in the Senate, and he’s accomplished nothing other than being likable. And I maintain that he wouldn’t even be in contention if he weren’t black.

Anyway, if Hillary were smart, she’d clip this for her next campaign ad.

RightWinged on February 4, 2008 at 10:20 PM

Love it.

If Obama gets the nomination, the Repub. nominee should make a commercial out of this.

The fact that so many people are willing to vote for Obama says much more about the voters than about Obama. God help us all.

Splashman on February 4, 2008 at 10:20 PM

“Um” is right. But hey, who needs accomplishments when Oprah is behind you? I understand from many polls his supporters are made up of people who really don’t even follow the news or politics. Consider him the “Comedy Central” favorite and ’nuff said.

thedecider on February 4, 2008 at 10:21 PM

Wow that was funny. Enough material for 5 Coulter columns.

I can’t believe that 1/4 of the country are in love with Obama purely on his charisma and character. Are they that dumb?

My favorite description of Hannity: Unrelentingly dim.

jp on February 4, 2008 at 10:33 PM

Is this really a suprise? This needs to be asked more often.

Theworldisnotenough on February 4, 2008 at 10:33 PM

I’d hate to say it, but I think you could ask a random cross-section of most candidates’ voters the same thing and get a similar response. I’d also hate to say it, but I was racking my brain for one when Hannity asked the question and couldn’t come up with one until the video is over. That’s why I’m not a pundit and that’s why those people aren’t pundits. Now that I’ve thought for a minute, I can think of several truly impressive accomplishments.

I believe that Obama got the high score on the Frogger machine at Pizza Hut in 1983. (Unfortunately he can’t prove it, because–like so many young men–he signed it “ASS”.) Suck on that, Hannity!

ReubenJCogburn on February 4, 2008 at 10:37 PM

Quote of the Day nominee here?

RUSH: [ ... ]

I think now, based on the way the campaign has shaken out, that there probably is a candidate on our side who does embody all three legs of the conservative stool, and that’s Romney. The three stools or the three legs of the stool are national security/foreign policy, the social conservatives, and the fiscal conservatives. The social conservatives are the cultural people. The fiscal conservatives are the economic crowd: low taxes, smaller government, get out of the way.

[ ... ] When it comes to the fiscal side, you cannot say — you just cannot say — that John McCain is interested. He’s even admitted he’s not interested in the social side. He’s not interested in the economic side. He said this, and when he has spoken up about it, he sides more often with liberal Democrats on fiscal issues than he does with his own side. That’s problematic. This is why I think — and why I have said — that the Republican Party, not conservatism, but the Republican Party is in big trouble if it is empowered and gets elected by attracting people who also hold liberal Democrat views simply because they like McCain because of his character, his honor, his prisoner of war story, and they don’t like Hillary or Obama.

[ ... ] If McCain adopts economic policies that sound very much like what you’d get from Hillary-Obama, and if I think those policies are going to take the country down the tubes I’d just as soon the Democrats take the hit for it, not us. Plain and simple.

I think that’s pretty wise. I think right now Romney probably — as the campaign has coalesced and as the campaign has progressed on down the highway — I think the one candidate of the three still out there on our side that matter (and, actually, it’s just two, because Huckabee doesn’t, in terms of a chance to win) in saying who more closely embodies all three legs of this conservative stool, you’d have to say that it’s Mitt Romney. There’s actually no choice in the matter. It certainly isn’t Senator McCain.

Obama is running on the blinding flash of the obvious that all of us are sick and tired of the partisanship. He has no ideas. He’s got a sketchy past which includes lots of Muslim relatives. He references his college transcript when asked about his foreign policy qualifications. All that doesn’t matter so long as he inserts the word “change” in each and every sentence.

Were the stakes not so high for the nation, it would almost be amusing to watch Clintons ill-disguised disgust at the fact she is losing ground to this guy.

highhopes on February 4, 2008 at 10:39 PM

Why don’t they just admit that the only reason they wanna vote for Obama is to assuage their whitey-guilt?

Tony737 on February 4, 2008 at 10:40 PM

Well, let’s face it: The voters who will determine the next President are people who today can’t tell you whether Obama is a Democrat or Republican or name a single sitting Supreme Court Justice.

It’s that ~5-8% of undecided voters who only make a decision the week of the election.

And they will determine the winner.

Somebody shoot me.

Who’s with me? We can take turns.

SteveMG on February 4, 2008 at 10:40 PM

The audience said the same thing Joe Biden said about Obama: He’s clean and articulate. Congratulations: He’s capable of speaking and bathing himself. Most people have achieved both of those “accomplishments” by the time they’re two years old.

Leaving aside the issue of hygiene, OK, so B. Hussein is articulate. Fine, moonbats: go ahead and name one thing the guy actually SAID that was especially profound.

…No one can do it. All B. Hussein ever does is spew randomly assembled bromides like “the audacity of hope.” The guy’s an empty suit.

Defector01 on February 4, 2008 at 10:40 PM

No surprise at all that the new messiahs followers are basing their judgement on “feelings”. Isn’t that how most liberals make up their minds anyway? Short on common sense and long on feelings.

Christoph on February 4, 2008 at 10:44 PM

Hey Allah,

In the spirit of the way Huckabee’s bookshelf “cross” was open for criticism. Sure looks to me like the background you used on Sean Hannity is a swastika because he came out for Romney and you just can’t stand it that there are folks that aren’t shutting up and getting behind Juan McCain now that your pre-destined victor folded like a cheap tent after his Florida trouncing. Please tell me you aren’t playing those games.

Christoph on February 4, 2008 at 10:45 PM

obama’s chief accomplishments:

- convincing blacks/african-americans he’s one of them.

- distancing himself from the utterly corrupt chicago machine and resko.

- turning his opposition to the iraq war — (a war we’re winning – a war in which we’ve killed tens of thousands of al qaeda terrorist and from which we are creating an arab democracy which will be a great ally for generations) — into proof he’s smarter than the average bear.

-convincing liberals that there is no future (and no change) without voting for him.

I was sitting in a coffee shop today and I overheard a klatsch of old women talking about the upcoming primary (next Tuesday.) Apparently for the first time. They gushed back and forth about whether they’d vote for McCain or Obama. And, yeah, I’m pretty sure they hadn’t the faintest clue who was in what party.

There was a time when people like that were politely (but firmly) asked to leave the room whenever politics were to be discussed.

OH! I think the opposite too. If the clearly unqualified Obama makes it all the way he will be able to do tons of damage with or without Congressional assistance. Let’s remember here that the President runs the Executive branch of government. The President can do an awful lot of damage provided it isn’t deemed illegal by the judiciary or requires Congressional funding.

Jaibones on February 4, 2008 at 11:21 PM

Like I’ve been saying for months, and telling some of my liberal friends and family members, Barack Hussein Obama has done nothing noteworthy. But he sure can blabber and make promises that even if he has no intention of keeping, as a result, he’ll suffer no reprecussions from it. If he’s not elected POTUS, he can’t be faulted for doing nothing he promises as POTUS. If he is elected and doesn’t fulfill his blah blah blah politician speak promises, so what… all he has to do is give the impression he’s trying and he can get re-elected.

Regardless, he seems like a decent guy, but his large mouthed uppity wife needs to remember her place and her role as a potential first lady and just stick to fund raisers and stop playing the race card every chance she gets. She drips with racial sterotyping and I can see her definitely being very racially biased in how she conducts herself as first lady, and he married it, so that also says something about him as well.

Either way, it’s going to be him or Shrillary in 2008… God help us all.

Funny, I think the same thing when I hear Sean on the radio doing his “You’re a great American,” “No, you’re a great American,” bit with a caller.

So two snares and a high-hat fall off a cliff…

Mark Jaquith on February 4, 2008 at 11:51 PM

Obama’s lack of experience works FOR him.

It’s hard for a Senator to win POTUS if they have a history of votes and positions–not to mention all the video footage available to bash them with.

So he has the perceived gravitas of high office with very little of the drawbacks, and as others pointed out, this is a case study on the difference between Liberals and Conservatives.

Liberals feel.
Conservatives think.

Approach any liberal on any issues armed with facts, reason and logic. Then watch the fireworks and crocodile tears. That, in a nut-shell, is the secret of Ann Coulter’s success.
