If McCain would just get himself some sleeves that fit and look like a damn leader instead of a broken down aged retarded intern, it would be a start. The guy just looks goofy. I cant take him serious when I look at him.

Personally, I don’t think McCain will show up. Yes, I think he is that arrogant.

That was my first impulse, but then it occurred to me that the enemedia would love to take footage of that and twist it to say that “conservatives don’t respect war heroes”, or some such blatant nonsense.

So my second thought, which I like better, is for people to just silently stand up and walk out en masse when he starts to speak. (The enemedia will probably still use it, but it’s not nearly as exciting as booing.) Shun him. He’s no conservative, never has been, never will be, and no amount of lying and dishonest pandering on his part (to be followed, as always, by the inevitable McCain backstab) will convince people otherwise.

I was devastated that I couldn’t spend the money to go to CPAC this year. Now I need not feel bad. I do not wish to be in the same room with the duplicitous jerk.

As far as being ashamed of myself, get over it. I feel no shame at disdaining a man who wouldn’t recognize the truth if it bit him on the nose.

What I want to see is whether the CPAC attendees accept his probable pandering, grab their ankles and applaud the man. If that happens, then the conservative movement has no credibility or influence. It will be like the black man/woman’s allegiance to Democrats. The conservatives at CPAC will have grabbed their ankles merely to retain access.

Of course, I am still rooting for Mitt.

McCain probably won’t have enough delegates after Super Tuesday to win outright, but he’ll be so far ahead that I’m not sure there’d be any point in Romney to continue.

A brokered convention would almost destroy the Republican party’s chances in November- it would leave the winner only 2 months to campaign and build an organization, not to mention the discontent that would be sown.

Don’t get me wrong- the way things have gone, a little discontent and debate over the future of the party would probably be a good thing, and I’m all for a brokered convention. I just doubt that the powers that be will let it come to that.
