Well, nothing really, it just didn’t happen, bro. Look, I’m trying to help you. If I told you, if you kiss a frog, it will turn into a prince, you would say, “No, apacalyps, frogs do not turn to princes.” Oh, but in the textbooks it does. Yes boys and girls, start off with an amoeba and over billions of years, it slowly turns to a frog. And over a few more million years it turns into a prince. Same fairy tale, frog to prince, but all you did was add the magic ingredient called billions and billions of years. You cannot test this, demonstrate it, prove it; you can only believe it. It is a religion, it’s not part of a science.

I believe in creation, as well as evolution. The bible says God created man from dust, and evolution says mud. I don’t see a huge amount of difference there.

I just want you to know the evolution theory is in complete contradiction to what the Bible teaches. Just so you know that. And there is absolutely no proof it took place. A god that has to use suffering, misfits, death, a god that doesn’t know what he wants the first time and can’t make it right in six days like He said, that is a retarded god. I would not worship that one at all. (Such a god is) Certainly not the God of the Bible.

I have never understood this conflict between science and religion. Science should be concerned with how it was done, while religion should be concerned with why it was done.

There is no conflict between science and the Bible. I love science! Most of the branches of science we have today were started by creationists, people who believed in a creator. Look it up. Science are things that are observable, testable and provable. Evolution theory is NOT science.

I like to think of God as a Great Engineer.

HE IS. There are 137 million connections in one square inch of the eye. Find an electrician who can do that.

I have never understood this conflict between science and religion. In my reasoning they should seldom cross paths. Science seeks to explain the how, with little concern about the why, while religion is concerned about the why, and not the how. God parts the Red Sea. Science should be concerned with how it was done, while religion should be concerned with why it was done.

I like to think of god as a great engineer. He made this machine called the universe that has all the precision of fine clockwork, yet as resilient as a horror movie slasher. The thought, in my opinion, that he just forced it out by sheer will and raw power, with little concept of how it actually works, instead of planning and knowledge cheapens God.

But I think I speak for many of us when I say I’d hate to see you go. I’ve always enjoyed your posts. They’re among the bright lights of this place.

You know, PC has invaded when it comes to truth in religion. Telling the truth about the history and the beliefs of the Mormons is taboo, just as it is not PC to tell the truth about the history and beliefs of the Muslims. This is going to destroy this nation.

It’s sad to see. Sincerely. Apparently the same half dozen clearly unbalanced and clearly ill-informed commenters now largely control the site.

It’s almost unreadable now. I miss it.

I’m just trying to defend myself. Some of the assertions made by HebrewToYou are outrageous. And the language he uses, “you are a homophobic, bible-thumping etc, etc,…” is pretty hard. Anybody who told him to be himself simply couldn’t have given him worse advice…

This election is about choosing a religious leader, it’s about choosing a political one.

You prove my point. You simply can’t even entertain the idea that maybe, just maybe, humans weren’t on this planet until very, very recently on a universal scale of time. Maybe, just maybe, life started on this planet with single-celled organisms.

Maybe that book you consider the absolute truth simply contains metaphors for how we came to be and not a literal interpretation. But that’s crazy! I mean, it’s not like Earth is more than 10,000 years old or anything. What was I thinking! Of course humans just arose very recently and assumed dominion over the world. Thinking anything else would just be crazy.

I disagree with you 100%. There are no errors in the Holy Bible (King James version), and it is perfect historically, geographically, scientifically, grammatically and numerically, and “every word of God is pure” (Proverbs 30:5).
