I predict that “Clinton” will soon appear in the language as a verb.

At the rate the Clintons are going, they better watch
their backs,payback’s are a b!tch!

canopfor on January 28, 2008 at 11:06 PM

She could have used stronger language at the end, but good on her for the criticism.

Meanwhile, the chatter among many Democrats is that Bill Clinton is once again putting his own desires ahead of the interests of the Democratic Party.

Though, I read it as more a criticism of Bill and not of the Clinton camp.

Yep, this is just another exhibit on why I like to listen to her opinion. And that’s a pretty exclusive club actually.

Spirit of 1776 on January 28, 2008 at 11:12 PM

Regardless of the outcome of the Dhimmi primary, I am glad about this turn of events. This is Clinton’s legacy now. No one will remember “the best economy in 50 years”… but now left and right will agree he was a jerk.

Should I “swiftboat” my opponent? Or “bubbabang” him??

I see many of my lib friends, once staunch Clinton defenders, turning against this kind of dirty pool. I’m just shocked they were so blind before about it.

Make no mistake, the libs are turning on him because they have rejected the so-called moderate, “third way,” DLC politics that they believe he represents in favor of full bore, nutroots leftism. Many libs (though perhaps not your friends) will judge a person’s value as a human being based on their political views.

Nosferightu on January 28, 2008 at 11:30 PM

Bill’s always been a floater. It’s about time he was a sinker.

Patrick S on January 28, 2008 at 11:36 PM

I’m not so sure Clinton can recover from this. Well, at least until his pending medical emergency, when the country will unite in sympathy and concern, and vote for his wife to prove our solidarity with the poor man, who is teetering on…the unthinkable…

You know what I find weird is that the nutroots don’t like Obama very much either, even though he’s been against the Iraq war since the beginning. You would think they would all rally around him.

terryannonline on January 28, 2008 at 11:37 PM

I’m not so sure Clinton can recover from this.

I would have thought they could before today, just as they did in NH after Iowa. But when Kennedy endorsed Obama today, in the express language he used, I think Clinton may have just seen the nomination slip through her hands. She’s in real trouble now I think, and I confess I enjoy watching the gears lock up.

Yep, but they have no claim on him. He proves that you can win without pandering to them, even thumbing his nose at them (in regard to his singer). They don’t care for that I’m sure. I’m glad to see that also actually.

Watergate has many variations throughout the years… Irangate, Travelgate, this gate, that gate. The word ‘gate’ has been attached to just about every scandal since the mid-70′s it seems.

So in honor of the “honorable” John Kerry and the 2004 campaign I hereby do the same with ‘swiftboating’.

The Hillary campaign’s has been ‘Clinton-boating‘ Barack Obama for the past few weeks. If the Clinton-boat attacks continue throughout this primary season I predict Barack Obama will be the Democratic nominee.

Kini on January 29, 2008 at 12:58 AM

The problem with the Clinton attack plan is that Bill hoped to be the Black guy in the race, as the first Black President. Now, that phony blackness on his part is biting him in the ass. The Clinton’s are always the phony everything. Hillary put on the phony southern accent. Bill was phony when he said he would lower taxes, when he cared about children, everything. It was all an exercise to fool the voters. Well, some were fooled, some weren’t.

Welcome to the real world lefties, nice to have you finally join us. Later we’ll discuss how come a tax cut is expected to help the economy.

One quibble-Kirsten stated that:”The e-mail has circulated for years among the right wing; it outlines a conspiratorial case against the Clintons that includes accusations of the murder of their close friends Ron Brown and Vince Foster.”
I don’t know which right wing e-mails she’s been reading, but I’ve never gotten one like that. Sure, there have been ‘whispers’ about the death of Vince Foster; conspiracy theories are part of the fabric of politics. But I’ve never heard one word Ron Brown being “murdered”. If I remember correctly, Brown died in a small plane crash, along with a few others. Nothing mysterious, no conspiracy. Just bad luck.

Connie on January 29, 2008 at 1:31 AM

Hey COOL! That was a big move by KP. She’s been in the tank for the Hil for a long time now. If she’s wavering, I’m smelling blood in the water.

A well thought out piece that KP should be proud of. I was wondering why I was reading it and then I saw that she wrote it, then I was surprised at the content dissing the Clintons. One small step for journalism, one giant leap for Clintonistas to join the rest of the country.

I watched the SOU last night on Fox TV. I watched the HD channel. Kirsten Powers was one of the analysts. I have always been taken with her, thinking she was quite good looking. Not in HD, or at least HD closeups. She’s not so attractive when you can see it all. Maybe her makeup wasn’t so great last night or something, but I wasn’t impressed.

RWLA on January 29, 2008 at 6:13 AM

All credit to Kirsten…. I guess…

truth is, it takes these liberals being hit by a two-by-four square in the face, time and time again, before they finally, reluctantly, agree to see the light.

Billy Jeff has been performing this act for years, but only now that he is munching on ONE OF THEIR OWN will they reluctantly admit that he is a dissembler, distorter and a self-promoting liar.

Well, lah-de-dah… what the blue-stained-dress took you so long, Kirsten?????

Always Right on January 29, 2008 at 6:32 AM

Oh, big deal. She’s just laying the ground work for jumping the Clinton ship because everyone wants to get on board with the Black Messiah, who they perceive as the winner.

Attacking Obama on substantive issues

KP

Uh, the dems never speak about substantive issues or take an actual position on anything, so this statement is total nonsense. Her criticism is quite mild, but will attract a rebuke from the socialists anyway.

dogsoldier on January 29, 2008 at 6:51 AM

Good for KP. But she will be persona non grata if the Klintonista win the general election.

Zorro on January 29, 2008 at 6:51 AM

KP’s gorgeous. Definition of babe.

But…Her liberalism is a beauty-sucking vacuum cleaner.

+1 for beauty, – 1 for being a liberal, still = 0

Shirotayama on January 29, 2008 at 6:51 AM

It is nice to see some confirmed liberal Democrats finally starting to see Bubba Billy for what he really is. Of course, because of the fact that every time he opens his mouth, Hill The Shill loses about 6% points, I hope he does keep doing what he is doing, which is not only wind up killing Hill’s chances for the nomination, but burying himself with his own big fat loud mouth.

pilamaye on January 29, 2008 at 6:55 AM

Glad to see that KP finally sees the Clintons the way we always have. Once she took those rose colored glasses off and really looked at these people she didn’t like how ugly they really are in daylight.

flytier on January 29, 2008 at 7:52 AM

She seems like a nice, generally sensible girl (even if she does apparently think the magic money fairy is going to pay for universal healthcare). It’s good to see her take an objective look at the Clintons, for once.

Tanya on January 29, 2008 at 8:03 AM

I meant to write to ask if anyone got screencaps from the Fox election roundtable as the SC results came in. It was KP and Juan Williams and some other folks, and KP had a look on her face I wouldn’t ever want to see again. Still cute, but very very scary all the same.

DrSteve on January 29, 2008 at 8:18 AM

includes accusations of the murder of their close friends Ron Brown and Vince Foster.

This Democrat rejected the murder charges, of course.

She shouldn’t so easily dismiss the charges. Clinton Inc. may have her in their sights next for criticizing them.

thanks for the primer-quite interesting, but it sheds not an iota of light on actual evidence. Read it again-Cashill jumps from observations to assumptions straight to conclusions, which is weak. That there is no evidence isn’t proof of a ‘cover-up’.
There are conspiracy buffs who swear up and down that Paul Wellstone was murdered in a similar fashion, to give an easy victory to Norm Coleman. Just because we are willing to always believe the worst about those in power doesn’t mean that they are always nefarious. Just most of the time.

Hollywood studio attorney and wife, James & Elizabeth Jackson, are convicted of slavery. This attorney and wife delivered the physical punches, hair pulling, and water bottle strikes to the mouth to the illegal alien maid who was fed 3 day old left-over food and made to sleep in a dog bed, provide that daily quote to contemplate from the far left.

Thanks, Jacksons, for demonstrating what to expect from liberal Democrats.

Obama played attorney for the Eastern European Mob in Chicago. Lest we forget, the Clintons’ murders include the Branch Davidians burnt “alive” in Texas on insubstantiated charges. The victims, women and children, were purposely burnt to ashes by our government alongside their innocent until proven guilty in a court of law men. Sycophant propaganda sells too well amongst every political branch. All shades of conservatives bought the MSM story as reality proves too difficult to confront. Whether the Branch Davidians were deranged or not is really beside the point of American Justice gone liberally wild.

We should note well that Guillianni is the only POTUS candidate from either party who truly busted his own ass to confront crime and shake the mafia hold on NY, a huge accomplishment not to be ignored by voters. He is the only POTUS candidate who successfully overcame the 9/11 destructive mayham. He is also the only POTUS candidate whose campaign platform covers all bases, even if not to everyone’s liking. Rudy’s cards are on the table.

That voters are sheep led by the desire to be accepted/popular is an obviously sorry state when Constitutional ideals are abandoned. Michelle Malkin’s company proudly take credit for influencing voters when the motivation is to delineate between citizen and non per benefits. They deny any influence on voters when shamefully promoting their profit margin at the expense of the conservative platform. It’s all about the $ dollar pay-off. We heard the official liberal flood repeatedly from Bush’s bigger spending promotions last night in his final sotu address. Allahpundit and friends cut the lines on the brakes.

Most of the liberal ladies who get on television have tradtionally been very strident, blame America types like this Van Huevel lady from The Nation who is a fixture on MSNBC and I think some ABC shows as well. Wind Van Heuvel up and she will blame America, Bush and Israel for everything from Katrina to the polar ice caps. Sometimes, we get Maxine Waters or Stefanie Tubb Jones, equally predictable. Maybe I should be happy about it because it puts liberals in such a bad light.
But there really are some pleasant intelligent liberal ladies. KP is an example but she could never get on CNN or MSNBC. These networks much prefer the snotty, insulting Ariana Huffington (no accomplishments of her own, just married old California money) or some uncompromising abortion always flak.
