Rudy could do better by attacking McCain on immigration

Rudy is just as bad on immigration as McCain is, so it's probably not a winning strategy.

However there isn't any winning strategy for Rudy that doesn't involve a high powered rifle or fatal accident involving McCain and Romney...

He's right though. The Old Gray Whore's endorsement should be a BIG red flag, at the very least, if not the kiss of death for a GOP candidate.

Rule of thumb for the GOP: If The Times hates you, you're doing something right. If they like you, you may as well move your desk across the aisle.

Rudy could do better by attacking McCain on immigration (Juan Fernandez, Soros money, etc.) but he won't, because it's Florida and he wants the Hispanic votes. It's no accident that McCain now is touting a national ID, just like Rudy. Great: now we all have to carry an intrusive Big Brother ID, and the illegals will forge them the day after they come out.

Foolish, fatal.

Right now he's more likely to be compared to the 1962 Mets who made Casey Stengel say "The have shown me ways to lose I never knew existed."

Compared to Rudy, Mitt Romney could be called “dead eye.” It’s really academic since Rudy’s strategy clearly failed but how are we supposed to trust Rudy after all his glossing over his pro-amnesty, pro-gay marriage, anti-2nd Amendment actions? Not to mention all the criminals that are part of his inner circle of colleagues.

Mitt Romeny’s position on abortion evolved. Rudy is nothing but a liar when it comes to social issues that matter to conservatives. I admire what Rudy did in the aftermath of the 9/11/01 atrocities but he can’t be trusted with something as important as the Presidency. He’s no better than John McCain.

Do you Trust Romney, who actually had a close family relative that died from an illegal abortion.

He seems to personally and emotionally invested..

Also, he has shown already on multiple occasions to be a liar, if you will.

Of them, 16 percent said they had voted for Giuliani, versus the 29 and 30 percent who said they had voted for McCain and Romney, respectively

a lot of that 16% would have gone to McCain I suspect, so that helps Mitt

I read on a Miami Herald comment board that absentee voters could vote again in primary if they changed their mind and their absentee vote would be voided

I'm pretty friggen far from being a Romney Kool-Aid drinker, but Rudy has about as much chance of winning the nomination as I do of winning the Kentucky Derby. If he stays in, it won't be to win.

First of all, despite the hope of the Romney Koolaid drinkers here, Rudy is staying in the race to win it.

This is great ad for Rudy, too bad he does not have Romney's cash to self fund his campaign like Romney has done.

Secondly, Romney and his surrender to the Saudi buddies at Bain Capital had/has liberal positions on amnesty for illegals (why else would he be telegraphing Jeb Bush as running mate), gay rights ("more supportive than Ted Kennedy").

Romeny is Hillary in mens suit. He is man of low character who will say anything to get the deal done, so long as he makes out personally. He lied to voters in Michigan about bring back heaving manufacturing jobs in there: If it could be done, why did he not do it when he was at Bain????

Romney is a BS artist from Day One.

DHS? Really? Sanctuary City Rudy?

He shares the same views as Lettuce Picker Chertoff.

Dr.Cwac.Cwac on January 28, 2008 at 10:19 AM

Sanctuary City stuff he was forced into, by the negligence of the Federal Government.

The Federal Government would NOT deport the illegals sent to them, so it's up to Mayors and local officials to figure out what to do with them..

IF you go back, and look at past statements that Rudy made when he was at the Federal Level back in 1982, you will see that he is definitely AGAINST Illegal immigration, And believes Strongly that it needs to be stopped AT THE BORDERS.

Also, obviously a new VISA/Verification systems needs to be created for guests/workers and students... bio-metrics need t be used. We need to be able to identify people coming IN and OUT of our Country.

How sucky would it be if both Rudy and Fred endorsed McShamnesty?

Don't know about Rudy but I'll bet you Fred is not endorsing because he will be on the ticket for Romney's VP.
