Uh…dude? Lynn Cheney is Dick Cheney’s wife. Liz is his daughter, and her particular weight in politics is that she is publicly known to be a lesbian, and has made political statements on related issues from time to time.

Mitt Romney’s campaign manager is on right now sqirming mad. Who cares about Liz Cheney? When did she start having influence over anyone.

I don’t think there is a better endorsement, save Zombie Lincoln and Zombie Reagan.

Go to http://www.politico.com, then look on the right of the screen and click on “Delegate Totals” to see a breakdown. Notice they don’t even show Fred’s delegates, since he’s now out of the race.

So no one can comment on why the MSM keeps calling McCain the frontrunner even thought Romney has almost twice the delegates and McCain supports terrorist prisoners getting better food and medical care than us soldiers (and US citizens)?

In Mark Twain’s famous quote, there are three kinds of lies: Lies, damned lies, and statistics.

Unfortunately, when you point out that Romney “has almost twice the delegates” McCain has, that’s a perfect example of statistics “lying.”

The actual delegate totals right now are Romney: 59, McCain: 40, and Huckabee: 36. Romney has nearly 50% more delegates than McCain, which is nowhere close to twice as many.

But worse than that, those proportions mean nothing when it takes 1191 delegates to win. To put it in perspective, ask how many more delegates each candidate would need to win:

Romney: 1191 – 59 = 1132
McCain: 1191 – 40 = 1151
Huckabee: 1191 – 36 = 1155

That’s a much more “truthful” statistic.

Of course, from that perspective, Fred Thompson only needs about 1185 more, so he’s only about 53 behind Romney. So while the statistics I just gave are better, they’re hardly the whole story either.

Anyway, delegate counts don’t feature heavily in figuring who’s the front-runner. Yet.

Why don’t people understand the Constitution?

The Constitution pertains to government action, with little to do with private action. The “life/liberty clause” pertains to government depriving people of such, not private citizens doing so. Because the American people have turned so liberal, they have lost sight of the distinction. Virtually nothing a person as a private citizen can do could be “unconstitutional.”

Now, on the other hand, to use the “equal protection” clauses to hold that murder and child abuse laws must be applied to (liberal phraseology here) “Unborn-Americans” would have some basis. By allowing “abortion on demand”–i.e., abortion when the mother’s life or wellbeing are so endangered as to justify acting with lethal self-defense–a state is depriving some people (another liberal phrase here: a “class of people”) of the protection of those laws.

There it is.

Stick with the state wide polls. The latest FL RASMUSSEN poll (on Rasmussens page) has Mitt up by 6%. But I guess that’s a little inconvenient for you ain’t it?

I see it as the death knell for McCain. It turns out that his views on illegal aren’t nuanced, after all. He’s just a liar, and as proof we have one of the greasiest of the open borders MexiMafia on his effing campaign.

I thought it was a hateful distortion at first, but now National Review is quoting the McCain campaign the Juan Hernandez is an acknowledged consultant to the campaign. Good heavens, the guy is just too stupid to be my President.

You’re delusional. The latest polls have Mitt pulling away from McLiar. Having said that we will be getting a new poll with the results post the Crist and Cheney endorsements.

1)It is not “federalist” to oppose abortion on “Federalist” grounds. Either you are against abortion, and believe it to be murder, or you aren’t; being “anti-abortion” while silmutaneously saying that each state should decide is like saying each state should decide if murder is a crime – not how to punish it, but if it is a crime.

I’m somewhat fuzzy in this area, but don’t individual states decide whether murder is a crime? Obviously, the state killing a citizen outside of a punishment scenario is forbidden by the Constitution, but I didn’t think there was any federal law forbidding “vanilla” civilian on civilian murder (not involving an interstate or international aspect). At the very least, enforcement of murder laws is up to individual states, and you could theoretically have a state with de facto legal murder, right?

Yeah, all seven of them.
