One friend was Special Forces in 2003. He told us at dinner not long ago that when he was undercover traveling through Iraq toward Turkey to make a deal with the Turkish government for the U.S. to use their landing strips for the initial invasion into Iraq, which didn’t work out well (he dressed much like Special Forces do Afghanistan in terms of clothing, beard, etc) that he came across a long line of flat bed truck leaving Iraq into Syria. They were carrying what looked like makeshift laboratories and barrels..much like Colin Powell’s slides at the U.N. making the case for Iraq’s WMD.

It is widely understood among the military, at least those who’ve actually served in Special Forces, Rangers or OIF or OEF, that Saddam did indeed have WMD and shipped most to Syria, which until recently had been an exporter of terrorism into Iraq. This common knowledge among the military squares with Huckabee’s assertion, although he’s one country off, as well as GEN Sada and other former Iraqi military and scientists.

I also remember watching the Marines in 2003 in Baghdad as I watched CNN to see if my hubby was in Baghdad yet with the 82nd. They uncovered large tubes and missiles in the backyards of Baathist officials. They were filled with chemicals.

You don’t need a stockpile to do damage.

It appears to me in retrospect that Iraq tried to get rid of its nuclear program the same year Iran did.

But Huckabee and Giuliani are saying we should go into pakistan to get UBL and that we HAVE to win in iraq and therefore, they actually have credibility when they say it and are consistent.

Lebanon controls nothing. Haven’t you learned anything from the Hezb’allah/Israeli war? Lebanon has controlled nothing since about 1949 when the PLO and its ilk showed up on its doorstep and the Lebanese let them in. Syria and Iran control Lebanon. Hezb’allah and the Lebanese government are puppets of the Syrian Chinless Wonder. As the Chinless wonder is a puppet of Iran. For all intents and purposes, anything that is considered Lebanese land is actually Syrian. It just hasn’t been announced “formally” yet. But everyone knows it.

I just said Lebanon doesn’t control the Beqqa region, I learned plenty from the summer offensive, Israel probably learned that we are more of an ally and less of a friend…
