As for the monster in the harbor: I suspect the involvement of the Disneyland Japan “imagineers.” This kind of projection technology is standard practice at Disneyworld Orlando.

Actually it went something like this Godzilla was the villain then after Godzilla vs. mothera{watch the movie he wasn’t really a bad guy he was just real clumsy } then Godzilla became the defender of the world {I think the first Pro world Godzilla was Ghidorah the three headed monster also Godzilla chief nemesis}then in the mid 90's he became the villain again{ I believe it was Godzilla vs. mechagodzilla 2} then in 2004 {Final war}Godzilla was a tweenier not only did he attack earth forces but then became the power that saved earth from the alien invaders . And there were actually 4 different Godzilla’s {3 died 1 in the original 1 in Godzilla vs. biolantra and 1 in Godzilla vs. destroyah} not counting meina in final wars. I know way to much about the G-man

Ya know, as weird as they fundamentally are, sometimes, you’ve just gotta love the Japanese. They do it with such intensity, whatever that it is that they do, that you just have to laugh and say good onya! Example: Weird, but captivating on some level:

Very true. It goes back much further than WW2 however. Consider the original Kamikaze, or “divine wind” which thwarted Kublai Kahn and the Mongol hoards as they attempted to cross the sea to invade Japan in 1274. That supernatural wind destroyed a force of 100,000 Mongols.
