I will stick up for the UNDP. Perhaps in North Korea it has failed, but in a country like Uzbekistan, it has been a life saver for the Uzbek people, whose average monthly salary is 25 dollars. UN organizations and programs do have their flaws, but there have been some success stories.

UN. Great idea. One country, one vote. Load it up with countries that hate us, have them vote…what did you expect?

Now, have them manage tons of money with zero accountability, and who do you think will be first in line with their resumes for UN service jobs?

I agree with the UNDP that the major allegation — that they were “not complicit in — or aware of — the host government’s improper financial transactions” has not been substantiated.

The United States had accused UNDP of sloppy accounting, handing over cash to North Korean bodies without proper documentation and hiring staff hand-picked by the communist Pyongyang government.

Instead of scolding them, burn the damn building to the ground and send the former occupants home in a rowboat.
