This is one reason why I don't like Romney. And I am not a McCain supporter because he did stupidly vote against reasonable tax cuts.

But this ad is BS. It treats voters as if they are idiots by using emotion and implication vs straight forward honest facts, which are certainly available on this issue.

You folks supporting Romney will be rudely awakened if, G_d fobid he gets the nomination. He is not an honest person; he is man of low character that will stoop to anything that furthers his personal interests.

On this issues, McCain is hardly even a Republican and that is why I don't want him to get the nomination; but at least he is honest, Romney is not. And why on earth so many people have fallen for his sudden changes in views on abortion, taxes, gay rights, illegal immigration and defense is just beyond me. Maybe it can be explained by the less than stellar field of candidates this year so we have folks wanting to look past what are obvious lies by Romney.

But in the end, honesty is better than gratuitous pandering because what we would get from a Romeny is more submission to the Saudi and Dubai supporters of Islamist terrorism, terrible deals with a Democrat Congress that few of us would be happy with, and more destruction of the core of the Republican Party.

Mormonism was invented in the 1800’s in America by a man named Joseph Smith.

Prove it.

csdeven on January 25, 2008 at 8:01 AM

Just stopped in for a sec.

csdeven, I decided to comment on your "Prove it" remark because I think this illustrates a good point, and that is it makes no difference whether you're given the facts or not, you'll ignore them, manipulate, deny, lie, etc, to make your snake in the grass comment. For example, I wrote,

"Mormonism was invented in the 1800’s in America by a man named Joseph Smith."

Now anyone can look this up. It's a fact. Not an opinion. Fact. Mormonism was founded by Joseph Smith (1805-1844). He founded the LDS (Mormon) Church in 1830 in New York. Thus my comment, "Mormonism was invented in the 1800’s in America by a man named Joseph Smith, " is factual.

How did csdeven respond? He said, "Prove it."

sigh

Honestly, how can a person debate someone who responds like this? This is like grade 2. I'm just wasting my time really, because it doesn't matter what truth I lay in front of him he will deny it. Even if it's fact. And he's aware of that, most likely, and he doesn't care.

So I'd like to ask you to go bug someone else csdeven. Lot's of people here. I understand those are your principles, and if you don't like them... well, you have others. I won't be wasting my time with you anymore. Thanks.

Mike Huckabee also hits it out of the park on the fair tax!

The fair tax combined with total energy independence and energy export/(energy technology export)capabilities are the other missing pieces of the puzzle, in terms of what is needed to fundamentally turn around this economy and reach unparalleled new heights in American prosperity!

The income tax has to go! It is socialistic and counterintuitive to the American dream!

HaraldHardrada on January 25, 2008 at 7:59 AM

Ron Paul's tax plan is better - replace the income tax with...no tax.

csdeven,

Maybe you missed the part about "if you're going to commit to deficit spending"??

Or the part about how Huckabee is trying to accomplish the greatest tax cut in American history?

You're intolerable to debate because you're dishonest and closed minded.

Why not spend the money on vital long term investments that generate American jobs, wealth and business?
HaraldHardrada on January 25, 2008 at 7:59 AM

Because it isn't HuckaSocialists money. I don't want my rebate taken from me to add a highway that is 3000 miles away and I will never use. I want to use my rebate the way I want to use it. This is Hucks problem. He is a nanny stater,a populist, and a borderline socialist. A nationwide smoking ban? BS! The people who should pay to fix those roads are the people who use them. I'd think HuckaShyster would realize that since he is so committed to a user based tax system.

So out of one side of your mouth you admit that you cannot judge if any/all Catholics, Mormons, and scientologists are saved, and then you go ahead and say you can anyway.

You WANT to be giboted and I know this because it is ALWAYS your fall back attitude. This is why a religious debate, heck, any debate with you is a waste of time.

Thus, until the point in time that you cease being a gibot, I am done with you.

Look, I will be more than happy to have a religious debate with you,
apacalyps on January 25, 2008 at 2:06 AM

I wont because this is not the place for it.

cause it looks to me like you want me to say there is more than one way to God.

What, can't you read? Re-read my comment and try again.

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Prove that Jesus said that or admit you only believe it on faith and in that context, your faith is no more valid than the next guys.

Oh, and Mormonism was invented in the 1800’s in America by a man named Joseph Smith.

Prove it.

See here is your problem. You are a gibot and you don't even realize it. Perhaps if you knew the definition of the word you might just cease the behavior?

Bigot: a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.

That's you to a "T" gibot.

Huckabee made a very good point about infrastructure upgrades as an economic stimulus that will benefit Americans.

If you are going to commit to deficit spending to do a rebate(band aid fix)to generate consumer spending..

Why not spend the money on vital long term investments that generate American jobs, wealth and business?

It is a simple fact..government spending creates jobs..which creates increased consumer spending...which generates more business etc. (specific gov't spending that is...not sending it to UN or something)

Far too often we cut unwise unfair deals that benefit china and contribute to an economic boom in their country.. at our own expense. Mexico is another example...the 38 million illegal aliens working in the USA send the majority of their money home to mexico...it is a leading source of household revenue in mexico.

I repeat that you are adorably delusional. Again, free treatment for 3 hours. After that, the fees are high, but the treatment must be extensive to cure you. It might have to be life-long.

If McCain were the Republican nominee, millions of Republicans and conservatives will not vote for McCain in November UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. McCain will lose a huge portion of the Republican and conservative base. THAT WILL DOOM HIS CANDIDACY TO DEFEAT. A vote for McCain or any of the other candidates is national suicide, and that's no exaggeration, we will live to regret it. Huckabee is the only guy that can rally broad support and win it for us.
