Here's a must-read for today: The inspirational and gut wrenching tale of an Army Lt. Col/former West Point footballer who lost both legs in Iraq and has since been adopted by the G-Men as honorary Co-Captain. I am no organic fan of the G-Men and before today could not have cared less who wins or loses SB 42, until I read the above-linked story. Please check it out. I’m surprised at the responses. I thought it was funny and well done, actually – and Bledsoe was about 2:20 into it. He did a great job.

As for Favre, the media likes him not only because he is a good story, but a good man as well. If you want to know why we think so, check out any story about Favre and Anna Walentowski, like this one here.

Personally, I think the NFL could use more Brett Favres.
