I just caught this; even when I don’t comment, you have to drag me in.
If you think I hate Mormon’s so much, then show me where I mis-quoted them (oh yeah, I once said one person was the mormon president, when it was someone else, that’s all you got). Show me where I called them names, like you have a tendency to call others names when they don’t agree with you.
Funny, when someone brings to light the actual things you believe in, you call that “hating”. So if someone lied about your faith, then they are what, lovers?
You are still angry that you conceded you would give up your 14 year old daughter to your living prophet if he asked…and I called that despicable, we will let other judge whether that is a good, sound, sane, faithful decision.
If I hate Mormon’s, which I don’t, but I do hate that part of their faith.

No, Fred is not a career politician. He could only be bothered to served his country for 8 years in office (even though he is a million years old). But stop the nonsense about his “multi-faceted career” as some kind of outsider. He was a career lobbyists. He typified the inside the beltway backroom gladhander smoking cigars with politicians exchanging favors — that is, when he wasn’t chasing moonshiners or spying for Nixon.

Well, you are half right. I’d suggest that you actually look at Thompson’s very multi-faceted career before you dribble out any more tripe like that.

No doubt your guy is the Huckster, who has been in politics about the same cumulative length of time as Thompson.

Using ‘CHANGE’ as you (and the Democrats) do, is just pandering to the weak minded. Rational people aren’t seeking change so much as we are seeking competence.

And the people seeking ‘change’ will see change alright; If the people they support do get elected, the whole country will see ‘change’: Change for the worse.

Don’t feel sorry for me. I’m just pointing out that forcing them to return by either deportation or economic coercion (though attractive) is not realistic, anyone who says so is not telling the truth, or doesn’t know better.

That’s right, so we should just let them stay here and flood our emergency rooms, rape our women, form gangs, smuggle drugs, steal education and welfare, and not speak our language!

Because the destruction of America is ‘realistic’! We should embrace our defeat! It is an inevitability!

But no no no no, we don’t have to deport them or be defeated…we can compromise! We’ll let them stay, they can pay a fine, and they can continue on deflating wages, raping, murdering, and stealing! Then we can put them on the path to citizenship! Won’t they just make fine citizens!

I’m guessing it will. Right now it’s kinda like the gym right after New Years–all the annoying resolutioners show up for a couple of months determined to take off the holiday pounds, then they gradually disappear again, leaving the die-hards alone with the weight machines again.

You have no idea whether I personally have the moral strength and or immoral strength to coercively move 20 million people from a country of unlimited hope into a third world crap hole of despair. I just might have that strength if it means a better life for my children (and it would, I live in LA). That is not the point. The point is that, and I am sure everyone reading this will agree, we, as at nation, simply do not have the will to act with such unspeakable cruelty. We can hardly fund our troops in time of war and you guys think we can coerce a population the size of the entire state of Texas into a nightmare migration back to a dysfunctional and soon to be failed state.

So there is no point in even discussing it. We need to come to grips with reality and cut the best deal for our children, just like Fred suggested in that video I linked to earlier.

I still enjoy this site, and especially find the video links to be really, really good. But compared to a year ago, when things were more civil, and when MM used to do more Vents, HotAir just ain’t as good as it used to be.

With any luck the Democrats will follow their regular form and squander the 2 years of complete Federal control we just handed them like they did the last time. I don’t want to consider the alternative.

If we still have a free country in two years maybe I’ll drop by to discuss the 2010 Congressionals. Until then, many blessings upon you and your families.
