"Mark E. I know as a FACT that the transcript didn’t come from Blackfive it came directly from court reporter. Then it was placed on Blackfive."

I was the one who got it from the court reporter and gave it to Blackfive.

I'm glad as well, but consider this:
The justice system is so screwed up that we're elated when a judge does the right thing... We should be used to that.

The judge allowed the plea agreement to be what it was, but the best part is that Mr. panties in a wad is being investigated by the bar ethics committe. Hope he loses his license to be a lawyer.

As a former Marine myself, this decision by the judge will do instead of a nice sharp left hook to the chin. The buffoon should consider himself extremely lucky that he got off so light.

How long before the ACLU claims that keying a car is freedom of expression and files for a change of judge due to his conflict of interest with the case?

P.S. I think I watch too much Law and Order.

Punishment was not nearly harsh enough...the social parasite got off easy. He should of had to donate at least as much to the charity as it cost to have the car fixed, plus some time in jail. The the sentence of violating the probation is a joke. The judge did well except in handing out too lenient of a sentence.

"Quite frankly, you don't even look like a soldier. You're a small little [blank]," Grodner said according to Sullivan.

That's because he's a MARINE. Just like the Assistant State's Attorney prosecuting your case...

...Assistant State's Attorney Patrick Kelly, (Marine Corps/Vietnam 1969-1972)

...and the judge hearing it.

...Judge O'Malley has also traveled, but in his youth. He was a police officer on the West Side during the riots before law school. And before that, he performed another public service.

Judge O'Malley served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1961-1964.

I think it was pre-ordained to go badly for the charming Mr. Grodner, whatever he did.

Delightful.

Grodner considers himself a "Radical Liberal" so says the Chicago Tribune reporter (jskass) that interviewed him after his day in court.

He still maintains that he didn't want to cause damage...yeah....sure....

He says he wants to leave Chicago and move to the south of France...

But, he needs a month to come up with the $600 he owes?????

He'll fit in well in France...except they have this awesome Conservative running the government now....hmmmmmm maybe he'll find another place he needs to escape from.

Sleazy divorce lawyer!

Yes, I like that concept too. “Once a marine always a marine”, but remember there are also the Murtha marines.

cjs1943 on January 21, 2008 at 12:35 PM
Murtha's a total punk.. If we'd served together in my old unit he would've been fragged by now.. I move to officially disown Murtha!!! All those in favor... Aye!!!

Yeah, give him a bunch of pairs of the new suede boots, and tell him he can finish when they're shiny.

Technically, Murtha is considered an ex-Marine not a former Marine. I love the subtle distinction - hits like a big ole hammy handed slap, as it should.

Yes, I like that concept too. "Once a marine always a marine", but remember there are also the Murtha marines.
