Too good to check: Guess who’s playing “RonPaulapalooza”

posted at 6:47 pm on January 18, 2008 by Allahpundit

Yeah, it’s real, and Radar has the goods on one of the alleged headliners. Question: Would the Paulnuts really book a band with a reputation for racism so soon after the newsletter scandal? Answer: If Paul himself is willing to visit Bob Jones U, sure, why not? I sniffed around to see if I could confirm the booking and there’s something about it buried here at the Ron Paul War Room site. As for the band’s political views, Radar points to a purported interview with the lead singer that’s chock full o’ nuance, especially the later parts. The band’s site eschews overt racism for standard Paulnut New World Order conspiracy fare, but Rutgers was worried enough about their rep to stop them from playing the state libertarian party convention two years ago.

In the interest of helping the rEVOLution vet its acts, post any interesting google results you stumble across in the comments. Happy listening!

Heh. Leave it to Ron Paul to bring AP out of his one day retirement.

Spirit of 1776 on January 18, 2008 at 6:52 PM

Did you ever link this? It was in the Radar article. I can see where you wouldn’t because it’s kind of a parody of PaulNuts and the real thing is crazy enough to keep you busy.

On the other hand, I’m not sure it is a parody.

trubble on January 18, 2008 at 6:55 PM

It really isn’t clear to me whether Ron Paul actually subscribes to this nonsense, or if he has unfortunately managed to douse himself with freakosaurus piss – thereby helplessly attracting these loons.

I tend towards the latter, if only out of charity.

This is a little bit off topic, but supposedly Paul has Asperger’s Syndrome:

Welcome back AP, Bryan needs the rest.

Will the blimp do a flyover?

Frozen Tex on January 18, 2008 at 6:56 PM

From the interview:
“Other groups like the Jew-Suits (JESUITS) were created by zealots for the papacy (are more often times Crypto-Jews), and are manned by Atheist-Judeos like Adam Weishaupt. He was a founder of one of the most recent incantations of the Illuminati May 1st, 1776.”
Should fit right in with the rEVOLution.
Has a good portion of our country just gone completely bonkers?

As of today’s date, we have booked the pro-liberty rock band Poker Face, as well as lesser-known bands. We have already received responses from potential speakers including Congressman Dennis Kucinich’s campaign. Ex-Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, the 2008 Green Party Nominee Candidate, has confirmed her interest as a speaker for the event.

What about Mother Sheehan? This boggles the mind, yet you can’t make this stuff up! Sign-countersign to get through the gates will be ‘American’ & ‘Empire’ apparently.

Spirit of 1776 on January 18, 2008 at 7:04 PM

The band Poker Face enjoys churning out a hard-chargin’ “freedom rock” that they developed under the influence of Boston, the Beatles, and Frank Zappa, as well as a firm conviction that the Holocaust did not happen and that the Jews are in fact the lead agents of a “Satanic World Order.”

Should fit right in between the Neo-Nazis and conspiracy theorists.

Question: Would the Paulnuts really book a band with a reputation for racism so soon after the newsletter scandal?

Why not. They never even admitted that the newsletter was racist. I’m sure he has no connection to this band and if he does, it’s strictly monetary…which makes it ok, since he’s just taking their money (somehow) and using for a higher good. That ‘higher good’ being his election.

Not a Ron Paul supporter in the least. But I do think it’s kind of curious that Radar, a magazine that is partially owned by the son of Jesse Jackson, would care too much about this kind of thing. I have been following Radar for some time in my work at Newsbusters and Webloggin. They are the last people that should talk about Jew bashing. After all, they hired Gawker’s resident Jew Hater Alex Balk to be their online editor.

Balk frequently spewed his self deprecating venom over at his old mother ship (Gawker of course is the same group of people that put out Wonkette, so you know the type).

Here’s an excerpt from one of Balk’s less insulting Jew bashing articles:

Happy Rosh Hashanah, Jews! It’s time to celebrate the new year, eat apples and honey, blow the shofar, and, if you’re lucky, blow some cute single guy you hook up with in temple!

I suppose the Ron Paul bashing is likely deserved but its unfortunate that Radar gets any mileage or credibility.

To get an idea of how low Radar is consider the following. They recently published pictures from Elton John’s art collection that included naked 3 and 4 year old girls doing a striptease. The pictures landed Elton John in court and Radar celebrated his acquittal by WARNING: PUBLISHING THE PICTURES. These a-holes should be shut down. I wouldn’t believe a word they say even if it was true.

The FBIs bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993 thru their informant Edam Salem, was just a continuation of the Satanic Elite’s program to undermine America’s freedom, and subject the rest of the world to whims of a global parasitic order based on neo-paganism and greed, with a little bit of perverted sex thrown in for good measure. WE are being destroyed by design.

Como se dice “fruitcake?”

Gerard on January 19, 2008 at 1:13 AM

They have a lot of hokey ideas, but if trends continue:

-An extended war with new fronts such as Iran or Pakistan.

-Continued illegal immigration.

-Political developments in Iraq such as a terrorist party gaining seats in the elected government.

-Continued off shoring of jobs.

If these things happen or continue to happen, then I believe you will get a president in 2012 or 2016 that will make Pat Buchanan look like a choir boy. Many here seem amazed by the numbers of supports a nut like Ron Paul has attracted. You should ask why he’s getting so much traction.

DFCtomm on January 19, 2008 at 3:48 AM

POKER FACE has gained national exposure by staying true to their pro-Constitutional ideals. With support from organizations such as the Free Republic, they have taken an active part in several grass roots demonstrations in Washington, DC. From this, music from their second release was incorporated into several radio talk shows around the country. Likewise, they have also received rave reviews from various freedom oriented magazines, including The Spotlight and The Idaho Observer.

Figures they would be a big deal over in the Far Right Fever Swamp (Freeperville). Look at the name of the songs…

AprilOrit on January 19, 2008 at 4:53 AM

More interesting – they’re buddies with Chris Simcox.

after they were tossed out of Rutgers in February of 2006 they played at the Pennsylvania Minute Men event –

Other news of the band:
It seems as though we have reached a critical mass of awareness. Americas enemies and haters of our Constitutional form of government and RIGHTS have us in their sights. Recently they were able to slander us and libel us in the local New Jersey press in getting our gig at Rutgers Universitys Inn and Conference Center CANCELED. We where to play for our friends, the NJ Libertarians, at their State Convention being held there February 25th. Pro-Illegal alien groups and anti-Free speech/thought groups applied pressure to the college to have us not play. The PC CommuNazis used all the standard HATE rhetoric of calling us names. You can read more about this in the Michael Collins Piper article included at the end of this email. You can also listen to a couple of the recent radio/internet interviews that Paul has done in addressing this dramedy.

In the end on February 25th, we ended up playing at the PA Minutemen recruitment meeting that went on the same day at the Crowne Plaza in Valley Forge PA. It was hosted by John Ryan of the PA Minutemen. We met up with our friends Chris Simcox, founder of the Minutemen http://www.minutemanhq.com/ and

fusionaddict on January 19, 2008 at 4:14 PM

Sorry fusionaddict, I thought you were one of them.

My humble apologies.

It really scares me – within this whole immigration debate – the fact that Bill O’Reilly is right – there is a huge group who do not want any immigration period. They want to seal the borders to preserve their White Heritage and Poker Face supports this behavior hands down.

I had my doubts about this whole Minute Men Project from day one. And it is going to splinter the GOP permanently, mark my word.

The NY Republicans like my parents and the Florida and California GOP who support Rudy have no clue what is really standing on the other side of that door marked anti-illegal immigration. Either does Rush Limbaugh, Hugh Hewitt and Neal Boortz.

It look like what’s in this picture and this picture serious jew, asian, black and brown skinned hating yahoos in trench coat mafia hats.

A sh*tload of people, obviously. It doesn’t matter which of Ron Paul’s policies I am for or against. He is funded by EVIL PEOPLE. I will not and cannot support him, because I refuse to be counted among their number. A vast — VAST — majority of conservatives feel the same way.

And how can you support a candidate who associates with Dennis Kucinich and Cynthia McKinney?

Good Good, Cynthia McKinney is really nuts if she is supporting him, that’s beyond ridiculous.

The point is this – for decades the Fringe has tried to get their candidate elected. We saw it with George wallace, Lyndon LaRouche – this year it’s Paul.

But fed Up – you didn’t answer my questions –

I mean c’mon, you deny that these people are not behind Ron Paul? You support this kind of loon idealogy?

AprilOrit on January 19, 2008 at 8:38 PM

And is it really only a minority?

AprilOrit on January 19, 2008 at 8:13 PM

Yes. Do you have proof otherwise to support your claims?

He is funded by EVIL PEOPLE. I will not and cannot support him, because I refuse to be counted among their number. A vast — VAST — majority of conservatives feel the same way.

fusionaddict on January 19, 2008 at 8:21 PM

The ones who are “EVIL” are the ones who want war. There names are McCain, Romney, Huckabee, Thompson and Giuliani. This is not “Conservative.”

AprilOrit on January 19, 2008 at 8:38 PM

I did answer your question. I said the Constitution gives EVERY individual the right to vote for whomever they wish. I followed that up by saying would you rather have the system of China where you can only vote for one candidate, where your vote doesn’t matter?

Again, you people don’t address issue vs. issue, your candidate versus Paul. Why? Because you can’t win the debate!

Fed Up on January 19, 2008 at 8:45 PM

AprilOrit on January 19, 2008 at 8:44 PM

Do you think I speak for all of those who support Paul?

Fed Up on January 19, 2008 at 8:46 PM

I realize I’m not going to change your vote. Just pointing out the hypocricy of what the “New” Republican Party has become. The Republican Party won’t win with this “New” mantra of warmongering. And American men and women are dying because they are directed by the neocons in charge who practice the philosophy of Strauss.

To expect a different result from November 2006 where this “New” Republican Party lost both the House and the Senate is delusional. Ron Paul stands out from this crowd.

Good night and Good Luck

Fed Up on January 19, 2008 at 8:45 PM

No, because the debate doesn’t happen – we are not comfortable with a candidate are suspect, supporters that are white supremacists and hate mongers. There is no debate, it doesn’t warrant one.

AprilOrit on January 19, 2008 at 8:54 PM

correction –

…with a candidate who is suspect, with supporters who are white supremacists and hate mongers.

AprilOrit on January 19, 2008 at 8:56 PM

Good Night and Good Luck?

Can’t answer mny question about The Turner Diaries, can you without exposing your idealogy?

That’s the big problem with you loons – you are big on William Luther Pierce III, George Lincoln Rockwell and Matt Koehl.

Try posting your crap here: http://www.jews4ronpaul.org/

See what kind of a response you get.

See what kind of a response you get.

And explain, good sir, why support for our military actions overseas is evil, as compared to white-supremacist douchebags who support the genocide of an entire ethnic group, who have well over 6000 years of cultural and religious history and civilized knowledge.

Explain how support for the war is evil.

But you cannot answer the question. Your silence is what speaks volumes.

The Jews For Ron Paul is a scam, Jim Perry, the director of this group isn’t jewish, so stop.

AprilOrit on January 19, 2008 at 9:20 PM

Here the real story behind jews4ronpaul.

Not to mention The bulk of the “Jews for Ron Paul” board are associated with LewRockwell.com and with Mises and the Austrian School of Economics. Burt or Burton Blumert is better known as the publisher of LewRockwell.com.

I mean c’mon – do you think we are idiots?

P-L-E-A-S-E….

AprilOrit on January 19, 2008 at 9:30 PM

Fed Up – I think you have no idea who you are supporting or you are well aware and are a part of the movement.

And when I say movement I do not mean Ron Paul for President.

http://www.philipweiss.org/mondoweiss/2008/01/huckabee-palest.html

The above link sourced DIRECTLY from Lew Rockwell’s website. Check the comments out, like this one:

“Huckabee is a consumate panderer. He is sucking up to the Pollardites among the Israeli-american, (small “a” intentional) population, i.e., the NeoCons…and never was a group so aptly named. As for as the “conquest” of Palestine by “a few Jews with flares”, etc., the myth of “brave little Israel” is long exploded, and I was alive and well in “48 and watched the brutal slaughter of the Arabs with mondern European weapons in Jewish hands, while the “Arab Armies” were a bunch of camel riding yokels, still suffering from the British colonial yoie, poorly armed at best with 19th, (and even 18th)century weapons. It was a massacre and the Zionists slaughtered with a will. So, no more of this “moral High Ground” nonsense. If Israel has the Moral High Ground than so did Attila the Hun, and the Golden Horde, and every other brutal conqueror in History.”

Oh, yeah, they just heart them some jooos over there in Ron Paulville, huh?

He has obviously attracted a huge number of White Nationalist – Christian Identity types.

These are the loons who believe 911 was an inside job, Vince Foster was murdered by the Clintons and that Cheney has overseen young boys being sacreficed in the Bohemian Grove.

They fear the government and do not prefer less government, they prefer no government, period. They are so Far Right they’re Left.

http://www.ronpaulforum.com/showthread.php?t=302154

This one from a bonafide member of the Ron Paul SturmAbteilung is just priceless:

“The jews are not what we’ve been told and not what they seem. Their religion is a made up thing, and that last paragraph is stunning, they promise to lie to everyone, in a bargain with God?”

Ronulans, don’t get mad, just….go away…and take that worthless bag-o’-sh#t candidate of yours, too.

The fringe loon bigots over at Council of Conservative Citizens are pushing Paul also.

No surprise in that one. They are pissed at Fox News for ignoring Paul…LOL.
