So he doesn’t have lobbyists “tied to [his] campaign,” but he has lobbyists who advise him and follow him around the country. I guess he can take a really strict interpretation of “tied to” to and skate. If Glenn had just shut his pie hole and let Romney continue, he might have actually gotten a juicy scoop. Swing and a miss.

Why is this guy covering Romney in the first place? And for AP? Romney should have taken about three steps closer to Johnson.
Hey Johnson, put down a doublecheeseburger or two so you have the energy to at least stand up. You might also have the energy to look up a fact or two. I suggest you go back to the Clinton campaign where you don’t have to bother with such things.

Thank you for the links jon. Mitt is clear and concise on how he deals with problem children in the press. The link concerning the MA press was good because it shows the charm of W, but with Mitt’s quick wit. Mitt seems to refine his delivery when attacked. He’s getting practice again since MI.

This is not the first time Mitt has had to deliver the SMACK DOWN to the press. He routinely challenged the press corps in Massachusetts and most often the Boston Globe idiots, Mitt would call them out on their bias quite frequently. It’ll be interesting to see how Mitt deals with the Washington Press, frankly I don’t think he’ll put up with as much crap as W has.

I agree with the sentiment. What sets me off with this guy is the lack of respect. Even if you disagree with someone’s positions, at least get off the ground and be a man. Don’t snipe with partisan attacks while hiding behind your “journalistic integrity.”

Mitt handled that really well. He got a bit flustered, but he kept his cool. I have to say, if it had been me the guy had called a liar (to my face in front of lots of cameras), I think I would’ve said something like, “You look like a really bad mix of Michael Moore and Dennis Nedry, and I really don’t care about your opinion of screwed up facts. Goodbye. Now, back to what I was saying…”
