Video: Gangbangers say “Come and get it” to police on YouTube. Police take them up on the offer.

I suppose it comes as no surprise that this story comes to us from Florida.

Two alleged gang members who taunted the Miami Dade Police Department in a video posted on YouTube have been arrested by U.S. agents and charged with federal firearms violations.

Rudy Villanueva and Tony Logan, alleged members of a Miami-Dade County street gang called the Bird Road Boys, were seen in the video brandishing a shotgun, assault rifle and handguns. Villanueva was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement late Tuesday evening, and Logan was arrested early Wednesday morning….

“Villanueva and Logan threatened law enforcement. They brandished weapons and told us, ‘Here I am baby. … Come get us if you want.’ Villanueva said come get me, and we did. We will not tolerate gang threats to our police officers,” U.S. attorney Alex Acosta said in a statement.

Well, the police went and got it, and turned out that Villanueva is a repeat offender who isn’t legally allowed to even own a gun. His YouTube video wasn’t just a taunt and a threat then, but actual evidence of a crime. And the two uploaded it of their own free will.

Heh.

As a Florida resident, I guess I should feel offended. There is a big difference between North Florida and South Florida.

For example, in South Florida girls don’t wear their tops on the beach.

I’m sure there are good things about N. Florida too, just can’t think of any at the moment…

Any 2nd amendment advocate, including myself, has the common sense to know that criminals such as these should not be allowed to have guns. The laws are already on the books to deter that from happening. However, this video proves that criminals will ALWAYS find a way to obtain weapons no matter what sort of laws the government passes. Gun control, such as that imposed by your dear friend Rudy is not the solution. Arming law-abiding citizens, on the other hand, is the solution.

As Associate Attorney General, Giuliani supervised the U.S. Attorney Offices’ federal law enforcement agencies, the Department of Corrections, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the United States Marshals Service.

In 1983, Giuliani was appointed U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. It was in this position that he first gained national prominence by prosecuting numerous high-profile cases, resulting in the convictions of Wall Street figures Ivan Boesky and Michael Milken for insider trading. He also focused on prosecuting drug dealers, organized crime, and corruption in government. He amassed a record of 4,152 convictions and 25 reversals.

Dusty-

Looks like it might be a case of mission creep on ICE’s part. The end of the story says the ICE agents were involved as part of a Miami-Dade gang task force. I suppose because gangs down there tend to involve a lot of illegals. But there’s nothing in the story to indicate either of these two are here illegally. Which does seem to make their involvement in this particular bust unnecessary. Oh well, not like ICE could have used that money elsewhere.

Rudy wants to REWARD 12 to 30 million law breakers with what they came here to steal – residency in our country. Using this logic, he would award the stolen jewels to the convicted burglar, after paying a fine. If they were your (or your wife’s) jewels, would that sound good to you? Would we have more burglars or fewer burglars? Duh.

He advocates soliciting a fine BRIBE to law breakers after the fact. This is not much different from a BP agent solictiong a bribe before the fact to let an illegal alien sneak into our country. Just a small difference in timing.

No matter how high and wide a fence we build, and no matter how much Rudy talks about law enforcement, he will NEVER stop the flood of illegal aliens without stopping the REWARDS of granting residency and soliciting BRIBES to remain here.

Watch this video to see how illegal aliens respond to real law enforcement, as opposed to Rudy’s plan of rewards, enticements, and bribes.

End of lesson. Learn or not – your choice. And have a great day.

Hollowpoint on January 17, 2008 at 3:07 PM

Don’t lie..

There are different handgun licenses with different privileges granted under each. A license for a handgun shall be issued to:
(1) have and possess in a dwelling by a householder;

(2) have and possess in his place of business by a merchant or storekeeper;

(3) have and carry concealed for employment purposes;

(4) have and carry concealed, without regard to employment or place of possession;

(5) possess a target handgun; and (6) have, possess, collect and carry antique pistols.

The applicant for a handgun license must:

1. Be of “good moral character.”

2. Not have been convicted of a felony or a serious offense.

3. Not have suffered from a mental illness or been hospitalized for mental illness.

4. Be a person concerning whom “no good cause exists” for the denial of the license.

Typical. When there is no valid response, simply attack the other party. Still waiting for you to comment on Rudy’s Sanctuary City policies. Want more? Here you go:

Endorsing the “undocumented” immigrants in 2001: “They make a big contribution to the life of the city.”

And from City Hall he often defended illegal immigrants, ordering city workers not to deny them benefits and advocating measures to ease their path to citizenship.

In Mr. Giuliani’s case, his aides acknowledged that most voters do not know how aggressive he was as mayor in pressing for ways to allow more immigrants into the country.

Oooooo… Here’s a good one!! You know, you can just talk to this one if you want:

It was a role he seemed to cherish, becoming a national leader for the cause of welcoming immigrants in the 1990s. To the surprise of many people in both parties, he also spoke passionately about helping those here illegally become citizens, advocating for $12 million to start a city agency that would assist those seeking citizenship. He vigorously defended the city’s policy of forbidding city employees, including police and hospital workers, from asking a person’s immigration status.

And lay off the ad hominem attacks. They only make you look childish, and HA readers can see right through you.

Gotta run now. There’s so much more I’d love to say, but I refuse to stoop to your level. Maybe I’ll check back tomorrow to see if you bothered to respond. TTFN

Who said anything about no security? Not me. Don’t raise straw man arguments. Demagoguing? No, just presenting facts and proven policies (not refuted by you) as opposed to just talk.

We need more money, more BP, high and solid fences, no lax drivers licenses, etc., but with real law enforcement, as 4 states have done (more on the way). But without the rewards and bribes that Rudy proposes. Rudy’s enforcement does no good if we keep enticing more illegal aliens to enter, while he wants to “legalize” those already here.

Note that these states, where strict enforcement is working, do not offer rewards of residency in return for a bribe. Rudy and McCain offer both. And Huck had this same policy as governor.

And I bet you didn’t look at all the working examples of this policy, did you?

And would you be happy if the judge awarded your stolen power tools to the convicted burglar? Even with a ‘fine’? Silence.

If Rudy only left out his rewards and bribes and enticements from his plan, he would be fine. But his plan is the same as the miserably failed shamnesty of last year, rejected by over 70% of the public. I guess Rudy doen’t learn, either.

Quit avoiding my questions. We all agree that we need to have secure borders. We disagree with what to do about the 12 to 30 million already here. Rudy wants to solicit fines to grant residency to law breakers. That is a fact. You cannot refute that. Rudy insists on it when he is called out on it during debates. Live with it. Accept it.

Why does he insist on rewarding law breakers? Why not just let them self-deport, as this is a proven strategy? You and Rudy cannot refute the evidence this is working just fine.

His and your illogic creates an unnecessary incentive for more law breaking. Why do you and he insist on this?

No. She’s someone who doesn’t want to have to keep an item on her at all time so that the government can demand papers at a moment’s notice and track her wherever she goes. You don’t seem to get it. That kind of measure is the same as gun control. New laws get made that affect everyone, except they affect the lawbreakers a lot less. Like she said, ENFORCE THE LAWS WE ALREADY HAVE. Georgia’s been doing that and the illegal aliens are going nuts.

Quit trying to fix problems by creating more unnecessary laws that only infringe on the rights of the people that AREN’T THE PROBLEM!

Rudy Villanueva and Tony Logan, alleged members of a Miami-Dade County street gang called the Bird Road Brained Boys,

There – fixed that.

Now if only our Mexican “tourists” would be so kind as to do the same.

Gartrip on January 17, 2008 at 6:18 PM

Criminal masterminds, oh joy.

I hope they enjoy picking up soap.

LimeyGeek on January 17, 2008 at 6:29 PM

Funny watching the fat white boy doing the crotch grab, grabbing what?

John Cunningham on January 17, 2008 at 2:43 PM

So true, the fatter you are, the smaller your penis (and evidently brain) is.

Tim Burton on January 17, 2008 at 6:57 PM

Stupid criminals 0 cops 1

These guys really are about as dumb as you can get and still be able to dress yourself.

Mojave Mark on January 17, 2008 at 7:07 PM

Well I think that to call for Vice President Cheney’s impeachment is… oh, wait. I’m sorry, I’ve got this confused with the other item you guys posted today on a moron from south Florida!

radjah shelduck on January 17, 2008 at 7:30 PM

Really, there has got to be a comment about Darwin in this thread.

Anybody? Anybody?

No shallowness of gene pools?

Dr.Cwac.Cwac on January 17, 2008 at 2:51 PM

Gene pool? More like gene puddle.

FishFearMe on January 17, 2008 at 7:34 PM

As a Florida resident, I guess I should feel offended. There is a big difference between North Florida and South Florida.

For example, in South Florida girls don’t wear their tops on the beach.

I’m sure there are good things about N. Florida too, just can’t think of any at the moment…

tlynch001 on January 17, 2008 at 2:43 PM

Wait did you actually just try to crack on North Florida? Umm, sorry but South Florida is just a mix of Yankee liberals and 3rd world country expatriots.

As fas as topless women, too bad they are canceled out by the nasty overweight eldery northerners wearing nuthuggers that are often obscured by copious amounts of greying pubic hair.

Finally, here is the last thing I will say about South Florida:

Broward County

Bright moment of the day. This sort of thing always brings a smile to my face. I just love seeing trash like this get a little comeuppance.
Of course, they’ll probably get a slap on the wrist and little else, as seems to always be the case with our worthless criminal justice system. Good job officers, but the courts must now do their sacred duty of undoing any good you guys do. Still funny though.

Is the guy in the white t-shirt speaking English?

asc85 on January 17, 2008 at 8:20 PM

Anyone thats eligible to get a firearm can.
Nobody is stopping them.

I’m a gun owner myself, and shoot trap quite often.

Chakra Hammer on January 17, 2008 at 3:03 PM

Please be so kind as to show me where exactly that is found in the constitution. Criminals do not respect or obey the law, if they did they wouldn’t be called criminals, they would be called law abiding citizens.

I am a conservative who on the second amendment leans heavily libertarian. I don’t believe there is any valid justification for restricting gun ownership in any way shape or form. Since it is a well documented fact that criminals don’t obey gun laws to start with.

The only reasonable or logical way to deal with guns is by allowing everyone complete and total access to them just as the founding fathers intended. If you use a gun to commit a crime, it’s over period, no second chance. If you use a gun in the commission of a crime and someone dies so do you. Problem solved.

doriangrey on January 17, 2008 at 8:23 PM

No. She’s someone who doesn’t want to have to keep an item on her at all time so that the government can demand papers at a moment’s notice and track her wherever she goes.

MadisonConservative on January 17, 2008 at 6:00 PM

So, you don’t keep your fingerprint and face with you at all times?

Hmmm are you a Chameleon… LOL
