Video: God tells Pat Robertson that Rudy’s going to lose

posted at 3:27 pm on January 17, 2008 by Allahpundit

Riehl’s got the clip from Fox & Friends this morning but this one from 10 days ago on H&C is better. Did Reverend Pat back the wrong horse? Looks that way, although Rudy fans can take heart in the fact that he may not have heard God speaking on this particular point. Maybe it was the devil?

With GOP fundraising and turnout depressed and Giuliani trailing McCain not only in must-win Florida but New Jersey, this atheist’s inclined to believe God’s on the money with this one.

Here’s Rudy’s new ad in Florida, which quotes Mitt Romney. Sort of.

From one Baptist to another from a different mother..

Pat keep the FAITH!

Go Rudy!

Chakra Hammer on January 17, 2008 at 3:29 PM

Oh, yes. Pat Robertson’s predictions.

I’m not saying Rudy’s going to win, but gotta love how Pat Robertson continues making predictions and says God tells him what’s going to happen.

amerpundit on January 17, 2008 at 3:30 PM

I think the Jamaican Psychic Hotline lady, Cleo, has been more accurate than Pat Robertson over the years.

Mindcrime on January 17, 2008 at 3:30 PM

Somebody needs to tell Pat that he’s insane.

RobG on January 17, 2008 at 3:32 PM

God was just testing his faith, like with dinosaur bones. Pat, IT’S A TRAP!

SECOND LOOK AT GOD’S PROGNOSTICATION POWER!

Wineaholic on January 17, 2008 at 3:32 PM

No disrespect, but it sounds like Pat did some meditating with the polls.

Spirit of 1776 on January 17, 2008 at 3:32 PM

Heh, I like Rudy’s ad! Quote from Romney and then cut away to a grinning Rudy. I chuckled.

Spirit of 1776 on January 17, 2008 at 3:35 PM

Really. It took God to tell you that the guy last in all the primaries so far is going to lose.

That’s what I call divine inspiration.

MadisonConservative on January 17, 2008 at 3:35 PM

Yeah know, I almost want Rudy to win just to prove that dolt wrong.

Forgive me Fred.

Go Fred!

RobertInAustin on January 17, 2008 at 3:36 PM

So, Allah. Do I take it that you are a Pat Robertson fan?

thejackal on January 17, 2008 at 3:36 PM

Somebody needs to tell Pat that he’s insane.

RobG on January 17, 2008 at 3:32 PM

Are you insane?

You never call anyone insane who can leg press 2000 lbs. They will kick you straight to the moon.

RobertInAustin on January 17, 2008 at 3:39 PM

I wonder if God also told him that it’s going to be cold here this weekend.

Sure, the weather forecast says that too, and it is Minneapolis in mid-January. But I won’t believe it until God tells Pat Robertson.

Methinks that God isn’t going to be very happy with Pat when they actually meet.

Hollowpoint on January 17, 2008 at 3:40 PM

Pat’s a little hard of hearing these days. Back in November he thought he heard “Rudy” when actually he was told to endorse Romney.

Brat on January 17, 2008 at 3:41 PM

C’mon, God says a lot of weird things, we shouldn’t necessarily take this one to heart.

Enrique on January 17, 2008 at 3:43 PM

God Told me that Pat’s a loser.

davidk on January 17, 2008 at 3:43 PM

First time God has been right in a long time.

TroubledMonkey on January 17, 2008 at 3:45 PM

The first time I saw 700 Club c. 1979 Pat was sitting there with his eyes squeezed shut envisioning, as he described it (I kid you not), a guy driving a yellow VW Bug who had inflamed hemerroids. Pat healed him right there on the spot. It was amazing!

Akzed on January 17, 2008 at 3:45 PM

Good Lord Allah, true believers don’t listen to Pat. God doesn’t even listen to Pat.

Sultry Beauty on January 17, 2008 at 3:46 PM

Somebody tell Jurassic Pat he left his Triceratops double-parked.

whitetop on January 17, 2008 at 3:46 PM

The RCP head-to-head polling average shows McCain beating Obama by 2 points and Clinton by 4. By contrast, it shows all the other Republican candidates losing to both Obama and Clinton — Romney by almost 20 points to Obama, and by almost 9 to Clinton.

God seems to be offering Pat Robertson some safe predictions this year since his prediction that US cities would be hit by a nuclear attack last year didn’t materialize.

doubleplusundead on January 17, 2008 at 3:48 PM

Oh, yes. Pat Robertson’s predictions.

I’m not saying Rudy’s going to win, but gotta love how Pat Robertson continues making predictions and says God tells him what’s going to happen.

amerpundit on January 17, 2008 at 3:30 PM

Gotta love it? On the contrary, as a Christian I wish he would shut up.

OneGyT on January 17, 2008 at 3:51 PM

bnelson44 on January 17, 2008 at 3:48 PM

Of course McCain polls well with Hillary and Obama, he’s a liberal for Christ’s sake. Doesn’t mean he should be the leader of the conservative movement just because of a freaking poll.

Sultry Beauty on January 17, 2008 at 3:51 PM

It appears Robertson is tapping into the same “power that is not human” as Huckabee.

BKennedy on January 17, 2008 at 3:54 PM

Wow Pat Robertson is a wacko.

CABE on January 17, 2008 at 3:54 PM

Does he not hear the laughter in the background when he says these things?

God must not be pleased at all.

Fred!

SimplyKimberly on January 17, 2008 at 3:56 PM

Wow Pat Robertson is a wacko.

CABE on January 17, 2008 at 3:54 PM

Yeah, but at least he’s entertaining.

doubleplusundead on January 17, 2008 at 3:58 PM

How many living prophets are there? If enough people make predictions, one will be right.
I mean, I can drive down street and have my palm read and get the same information.
Is there money in this “living prophet” racket?
Guess I will have to pay a prophet to tell me…

right2bright on January 17, 2008 at 4:01 PM

Pat healed him right there on the spot. It was amazing!

Akzed on January 17, 2008 at 3:45 PM

That’s what happened? I never thanked him.

right2bright on January 17, 2008 at 4:02 PM

Why is this Baffoon still on tv?

firepilot on January 17, 2008 at 4:07 PM

The Satanic Verses of Pat Robertson? Somebody call Sir Salman Rushdie, I think he could milk this for a sitcom pilot or maybe a short animated film.

Vote Sauron 08 on January 17, 2008 at 4:09 PM

Hoe does God talk to Pat Robertson?

Does anyone know?

Is it through his microwave or his hair drier?

I tried both and not a word. Nothing.

Do I have to do it at a certain time of day or night?

Is there a password?

Holy crap! That might’ve been my Dad.

Pat’s obvious senility doesn’t excuse all the stupid things he says, though. When he puts words in God’s mouth it doesn’t look any less shady than when the Huckster does it. And whatever happened to Clubs 1 to 699, anyway?

ReubenJCogburn on January 17, 2008 at 4:16 PM

Looks like he hopped on the wrong bandwagon.

AbaddonsReign on January 17, 2008 at 4:20 PM

It wasn’t God telling him. It was Rasmussen.

NNtrancer on January 17, 2008 at 4:24 PM

Rudy is still well within the margin of error in FL. If he wins in FL he will be the delegate leader on 2/6. My prediction still holds. Now, if he lets FL slip away… POOF The worse performance of any candidate, evah!!!

tommylotto on January 17, 2008 at 4:33 PM

Pat Robertson=Huckabee=Corn sucking idiots=President Hillary.

doufree on January 17, 2008 at 4:36 PM

Pat used to be really good, really credible about stuff. He was right about Chavez. But he needs to STFU about the election. He has no clue who is going to win. God didn’t tell him anything…..

Yea yea, we get it already. You’re an atheist. Congratulations. Now do you have to let us know every other post?

It reminds me of the little kids on YouTube and MySpace who simply must express their proud atheism to the world through nicknames like AtheistWarrior and SecularPessimist.

Sultry Beauty on January 17, 2008 at 4:43 PM

Fred never had a realistic chance. The Fredheads were deluding themselves all along.

Rudy on the other hand had a very plausible road the the white house with a broad based appeal. It looks grim now, but it is still plausible. Assuming Rudy wins FL, FL is winner take all. If Rudy wins by just one vote he gets all of FL’s 57 delegates. With that win he would be catapulted back into contention, the pundits would give him attention and those who waffled, thought he was going to lose, and deserted him for McCain would come flocking back. Rudy would get a sorely need bump right before 2/5. Come Super Duper Tuesday, Rudy would easily win NY and NJ — both delegate rich winner take all states. He would do well in the other 2/5 states like CA, maybe even getting the majority of delegates due to CA’s awarding delegates by congressional districts.

If Rudy wins FL, he will be the delegate leader on 2/6. I don’t think that is a very controversial prediction by anyone crunching the numbers. No hope. No spin. Just Math.

tommylotto on January 17, 2008 at 5:18 PM

Dude you are truly misguided. Wherever Fred has campaigned he’s done much better than Rudy. At least, even with the 4th place showing, you hear Fred’s name mentioned. He DID win the debate. I haven’t heard Rudy’s name mentioned at all in the last two weeks except a possible FL win. But even that’s sketchy. Good luck with your candidate! We’ll continue this conversation on the flipside.

Sultry Beauty on January 17, 2008 at 5:24 PM

Rudy’s gonna lose, *yawn* — Hey Pat, who do you like in the Super Bowl?

Pat told me that my Adsense revenue will be less than I hoped, my coffee will cool down when I put my creamer in and that at some point Hot Air would cover his Presidential predictions if they were lousy enough.

Guy’s a prophet.

I must say it is nice to have GOD verify what a lot of us have known for a long, long time.

false prophet.
