That’s what I was thinking. I grew up in MN, where it’s not unusual to be that cold for about a month straight. I’m in Cincinnati now and people think it’s freezing when it drops below 40. I think the city would shut down if it went much below zero.

It’s cold?

Really?

I’m sitting here on our beach, at our mansion in Kauai, Hawaii, sipping some ice cold sweet tea, while my wife is sunning herself in the nude, and our children are making sand castles on the beach. Our family friend, Manuel Barrueco, Internationally famous classical guitarist, is performing for us here on our deck. Later we will go to Maui where we will be guests of our friend, Ke’a'li’i Reichel, Hawaiian culture and Hula historian, and vocalist/musician for a concert on the beach in Lahaina.

Afterwards we will stay in our condo in Wailea. Tomorrow we’ll head over to Hana, Maui, and stay a few days in our other mansion there.

Right now, Christie Brinkley, a guest for the weekend, is playing volley ball in her bikini with our neighbor on our volley ball court, while Christie’s children play with our children in the sand on the beach.

My wife and our close friend, Gabrielle Union, will be scuba diving together later with our children. They will probably take our helicopter up for some sight seeing later also.

Excuse me …..

Okay,

Some surfers just invited me to join them over on Oahu on the North Shore later today. I’d better wax down my surfboard and get our boat ready and make our way over there.

I’ll send you all a post card later.

Would anyone wish that I send one of my private jets to bring you over to stay in our guest house for a few days, free of charge?

Wimps! Wussies! Come on out to Chicago this weekend, where we are going to be sitting in the MINUS 20’s! Then tell me how cold it is out there in Sin City!

Yet it was AP who introduced us to them in the first place.

Now we have a little OJ wrap-up, and, just for a little comic relief, they talk about the guy in the background who’s actually wearing a BARREL, like some kind of 1950′s Disney cartoon. The studio gal even says, “We don’t usually do this”.

So, we’re having a lighthearted moment focusing on some intriguing character, and what do we get?

Comment: That’s funny. I usually feel cold and have to wear Pajamas and several blankets.

Note: It works better when spoken by voice, as the sound of the word “bear” and “bare” are similar, and make the joke work.

BTW, it’s funny to see MSNBC continue to try to copy the “hot news chick” success of Fox News, yet still fail to make a showing in ratings.
