Video: Democrat debate interrupted from the peanut gallery
posted at 11:25 am on January 16, 2008 by Bryan
This will be the last clip from last night’s Democrat debate. One audience member at the debate didn’t like all the “race-based questions” and briefly took matters into his own hands. Content warning for the unidentified potty-mouthed man in the dark.
TV Newser’s write-up:
About 22 minutes into the Nevada Democratic debate, a heckler in the audience interrupted the proceedings, saying “these are f**cking race-based questions coming from you two, these are race-based questions…”

Headlines we’d like to see:
“Hillary Clinton Prevents Democrat From Becoming America’s First Black President”
Imagine.

Huh? From the party blind to skin color? Well, if they’re lying to us about this, what else are they lying to us about?

Tokens. That’s how this whole debate was treated. As if they were tokens for their race or gender. First Black, first Woman. What does that make Edwards though? First Mentally-challenged?
Really, this whole idea of voting via identity is ignorant and that party is full of ignorant people.
Further, if I was white, I would be outraged that Obama seems to be ignoring his “white” heritage. Okay, not really.

Thank goodness for Tivo. Anyone else catch Barak promise to ‘end glogal warming’ last night. End it? wow. Slow it down, ok. But end it in a eight year time span?
His mouth is writing checks his a$$ can’t cover.

Nothing new, I’m afraid. It’s just like during their 1968 convention. I remember watching a clip of a Dem (who might have been George McGovern, but I’m not sure) looking up at protestors who were seated in the upper level of the hall they were in, and saying something like, “You know all those four-letter words, I see. How about two more? W-O-R-K and S-O-A-P.”
Bigfoot on January 16, 2008 at 11:45 AM
After Obama and Clinton agreed that neither race nor gender should and would not play a part in their campaigns, there was silence for the next 40 minutes.

Ha!

Bryan, do you have any clips of Fred Luntz and the focus group that was shown on Hannity and Colmes from last night?
Specifically the segment where the a latino guy said something to the fact that no latino casino worker will vote for Obama. He didn’t specify why, but one could infer a racial reason. It was said in the segment where they talked about Union Bosses and their influences during a caucus.

Anyone noticing that it’s not just the Democrats, but committed liberals like Bill Maher who are suddenly becoming the targets of the left-wing yoohoo crowd?
pilamaye on January 16, 2008 at 11:50 AM
It’s kinda fun watching the Democratic Party’s festering boils rise to the surface.
Hands down, they are the most racist/misogynistic party in American politics. Sure they try to vail it in “equality” but by stating such, have concluded post-haste that not everyone is born equal.
natesnake on January 16, 2008 at 11:52 AM
Yes. Did anyone see him last night on Leno? I unfortunately got a few seconds. I think he said all Republicans are homosexuals. You stay classy, Democrats (and Bill Maher).
Dr.Cwac.Cwac on January 16, 2008 at 11:54 AM
When blacks and females engage in these kinds of politics, it’s no wonder why they are generalized.
Just what exactly can Obama accomplish for blacks? Are blacks a monolithic group that all have the same concerns? Does their skin color make them different in some fashion?
The same is true for Hillary. Just exactly what can she do for women?
And if they can accomplish something for their respective groups, is it good for the country? The dems are hypocrites. They expect equality regardless of race, creed, color, gender, etc, but they ALWAYS try to polarize those groups for their own political ends. Conservatives are the only people I know that see one color. Green. Green meaning money. But not really money, but rather accomplishment in ones life. We don’t care what you are. Just do the best you can and respect us enough to not play class or identity politics.
I guess my good friend was right when he said….
“We are all born with a liberals heart, but some of us were born with a brain and know how the world really works”
csdeven on January 16, 2008 at 11:55 AM
It’s Animal Farm. You have to realize the Pigs want to run everything, and that some people are more equal than others.

The Democrats voted 40% ‘uncommitted’ in Michigan?

Somehow I get the feeling that the most racist people in the country are the people who insist that race plays a role in everything. Whatever happened to the time when people were messed up because they were stupid, uneducated, ignorant, immoral, biased or otherwise liberal?

I wonder, will Wal-mart give me a refund on my new sunglasses?
franksalterego on January 16, 2008 at 12:47 PM
Yep. And apparently Bill is a favorite target of the truthers who attack him on his show because he doesn’t agree that 9/11 was an inside job. The whole Democratic Party in general though has been completely hijacked by far Leftists and “moderate” Democrats are like totally drowned out.

The dims have always played the race card. Why is it so different this time? Without the black vote, dimocrats could never reach the White House. Period.

Probably the most intelligent thing said last night and you could barely hear it. Shame.

First Gay?

I thought a conservative was a liberal who had been mugged by his government.
TimothyJ on January 16, 2008 at 1:22 PM
I am freakin’sick of the ‘race’ card. Some of us are too overwhelmed just keeping our heads above water to be fatootsed over the skin-color thang!
These people have too much money/time on their hands. HolyGoodGarbage, What Dreck!!
A message to all RaceCardPlayers of all colors & denoms:
Get Over It! Most of us have worked this ethnic/color/gender sht out!!! This is America 2008, not 1954!
lobosan5 on January 16, 2008 at 1:30 PM
Actually any democrat cadidate can stop global warming. If elected, the media outlets will just stop reporting junk science (ie, the “consensus”), and report that it is indeed not warming up
because of those evil, selfish republicans, thanks to the messiah and the prius. The debate is over.redzap on January 16, 2008 at 1:43 PM

What did he expect?
To the democrats its _all_ about race or gender.
Its not like they have any sort of _vision_….
