In his natural habitat, as it were. I’m sure I’ve said this before but his show has always seemed like more of a nutroots blog than an actual cable news program. Same echo chamber, same theatrical anger, and as regular Olby Watch readers know, often the very same material, recycled nightly from sites like Think Progress and Media Matters. What else are his Special Comments but the television equivalent of the fabled pretty vicious rant and important action alert? And now he’s finally among The People. A tender moment.
The occasion? His endless embarrassing ass-kissing of the Clintons, which manifested itself in such shameless spin during the Iowa returns that the Kossacks themselves began needling him for it. He tried to make amends later, seizing on Hillary’s fading polls and mention of Al Qaeda to give her the GOP treatment, but now that she’s come back and the race is a toss-up it’s time to clear the air going forward. Memo to Krazy: It’s not that simple.

William Amos on January 14, 2008 at 6:27 PM
Does Olbermann prefer Hildebeast or Hussein Obama?
HaraldHardrada on January 14, 2008 at 6:28 PM
BTW someone ask Keith what he thinks of all the anti semetic posts of Daily Kos Id love to get his take on them.
William Amos on January 14, 2008 at 6:29 PM
Which way is the wind blowing is the way Keith leans
William Amos on January 14, 2008 at 6:30 PM
In that video it was more like “who he was blowing”.
TheSitRep on January 14, 2008 at 6:37 PM
Well of course he is!
I’m getting all verklemt!
Frozen Tex on January 14, 2008 at 6:37 PM
Hahaha. His rants will now be in writing, which will make it easier to catch his lies and fisk his musings. Olby Watch must be in ecstacy.
Mallard T. Drake on January 14, 2008 at 6:39 PM
He is a tool just like the rest on that site and the hopo. That little @#$% Markos Moulitsas makes me want to forget that choking people is considered bad form.
TroubledMonkey on January 14, 2008 at 6:39 PM
“Unleash your anger, and embrace the Dark Side…”
Then you can choke him just by thinking about it.
Frozen Tex on January 14, 2008 at 6:42 PM
It makes perfect sense. I’m glad to see it.
Exactly. I’m betting it will further discredit MSNBC, in a big way.
petefrt on January 14, 2008 at 6:44 PM
Just one more nut in a big can of mixed nuts.

Oxygen thief.

The rub-off from the Fiskie will leave a mark over there. Not that anyone would notice in such a slime-infested sewer.
bbz123 on January 14, 2008 at 6:52 PM
He’ll fit right in.
Hawkins1701 on January 14, 2008 at 6:52 PM
Olby is Bisexual
windansea on January 14, 2008 at 6:52 PM
Are there any adults and professionals over at MSNBC anymore?
Anyone?
This is a “news anchor” doing this. Yes, he’s not a new anchor in reality; but that’s what the network claims he is.
There have to be some reporters over there who say, “Enough, you’re dragging this entire news organization down with your petty use of our product for your little battles against your perceived enemies.”
Really, that’s all his show is. A vehicle for him to go after people he doesn’t like.
That’s NOT news journalism.
SteveMG on January 14, 2008 at 6:53 PM
Herr Ubermann!
Propaganda fit for a new reich.
locomotivebreath1901 on January 14, 2008 at 6:54 PM
I hate all the name-calling. We don’t need that to defeat his ideas. We have the truth… Name calling just makes everyone angrier!
disco on January 14, 2008 at 6:57 PM
Why do I think that his obituary will read like a summary of Play Misty for Me?
rw on January 14, 2008 at 6:57 PM
You’re assuming there ever were any to begin with.
Which pretty much sums up MSNBC as a whole.

Olberdouche blogging on Daily Kos - Readers revelling in new wave of potent, odoriferous raw sewage.
wildweasel on January 14, 2008 at 7:46 PM
Just when you think he’s gone,(on MSNBC) you take a flashlight, look behind & under the toilet bowl (Daily Kos) and there he is.
oakpack on January 14, 2008 at 8:09 PM
Olby:
i dont watch Olby enough to know his style, but that is sarcasm, right? right!?
treyevans on January 14, 2008 at 8:09 PM
And handing over a check to Bill Clinton on his show was not to try to hide the fact he was wearing a stained blue dress under his polyester suit.
fogw on January 14, 2008 at 8:10 PM
ESPN still celebrates his departure annually. It’s one of their best parties.

As to where the cigar was, we can only speculate…if we dare.
Grayson on January 14, 2008 at 9:13 PM
Does this uneducated dunce actually have an audience?
pat on January 14, 2008 at 9:57 PM
All the makeup he wears and those glasses can’t quite cover up the Grade-A crazy in his eyes. I think that every time I see him.
Lawrence O’Donnell has that look too.
baldilocks on January 14, 2008 at 11:18 PM
It looks like Keith Olbermann wears the dress in that Daily Kos relationship.
SoulGlo on January 14, 2008 at 11:27 PM
My thoughts exactly. Olbermann makes ear wax appear intelligent.
Metro on January 15, 2008 at 1:06 AM
That guy is incredible. Morally vacant, disgusting, etc, etc…His show is basically one big huffpost, daily kos diatribe so this is no suprise…Of course, Bill O’Reilly and Fox News are the biased ones….according to this quack.
therightwinger on January 15, 2008 at 1:33 AM
Well good for you Allahpundit! Finally something to fill the hole in your heart that occured when Rosie left “The View.”
KelliD on January 15, 2008 at 9:34 AM
Dude, I just flip past this guy channel surfing and I swear all he does is bash Fox. Pathetic.
