Huckabee is the only candidate who will draw away the millions and millions of independents and democrats who hate Hillary and find Huckabee to be refreshingly honest and genuine!

Almost every democrat I’ve talked to says they hate Hillary and would vote for Huckabee if he opposed her!

You lie about biofuels costing less in energy inputs than oil; you lie about Huckabee’s record on immigration, you lie about Huckabee with regard to business. “The most pro-business candidate out there”??? Please. At least try for something believable. This is the same man, for example, who referred to the Club for Growth as the “Club For Greed, and attacked Romney (AND played the class warfare card” with his line about “the guy who laid you off.”

Huckabee is no conservative, and what I can’t figure out is whether you are boosting him because you truly support him, or because you think he is the Republican candidate that your Dem candidate of choice can most easily defeat.

He genuinely seems like a good man, but unfortunately I completely disagree with you on his electibility. Your problem is exactly what you said.. democrats like him. Why? His liberal record. I want substance, not avoiding serious questions with whitty comments.

I don’t know who you’ve talked to, but many of my conservative friends would stay home if he were the Republican candidate. Unfortunately his track record does not excite a CONSERVATIVE base. He may be a hell of a democratic candidate, though.

This coming from an old Huck supporter (and shamefully, donor). I’ve done my homework on him since. He’s a funny guy.. he has a great personality.. but he’s not a conservative. At least his track record says he hasn’t been.. and what else do we have to go by?

Hillary also used the MTP interview to claim credit for the success of the troop surge in Iraq. You know, the one that she opposed the whole time.

It’s ironic that her take on the surge success is taking the surge out altogether. Maybe it is good for the Iraq government to be scared that security will be taken from them if they don’t get their act together.

Reagan raised taxes in california by a billion dollars it would amount to 10 billion today but yet we all agree he was the best president ever!

That’s a valid point. Unfortunately Reagan has a track record of becoming the Reagan we remember. Huckabee only has the promise that he WILL be like Reagan. I don’t believe it. Especially as much as he’s been dogging the American pharmaceutical and oil companies. I obviously believe something has to be done in those two areas, but he sounds like a liberal when he speaks on those issues.

But I disagree about Reagans focal point. I say it was his very vocal faith that was what brought us as a nation through the cold war and mobilized democrats to become republicans.
