Since I dont see a sunday thread on this, Romo could ahve done a tad better, but I think coaching was the problem today. I see AP has ROMO as the fault, but no, some missed plays by a few key players caused todays failure. Coaching-wise, they should have been on the pratice field keeping limber etc. and not watching the waves or pumping iron.

Basic stuff folks. That coach is history. Jerry Jones' look on the field said it all.

Hey - on the Gillette Stadium field, the symbols at the 50 yard line near either sideline, underneath the “Patriot” symbol, what is that weird-looking long gray thing with little yellow sparks or something coming out of it?

You can barely see one in this image:

    Gray Patriots/Gillette Stadium image thing.

CK MacLeod on January 12, 2008 at 11:14 PM

Actually it's just a decoration for Gillette Stadium itself. The first part of the symbol represents the bridge at the end of the field (no that's not me in the photo) and the second represents the lighthouse on the north end.

I am just hoping vacationing with Jennifer doesnt take its toll on Romo. If it were me, I'd have made the team run plays all week and rest a day or two.

Oh he ran plays and passes I'm sure, but not the kind that are gonna get him to the bowl.

Just finished watching the Seahawk/Packer game, since I was out of town today. It sucks that the Hawks went down. The defensive line was not able to get to Favre at all and they were pushed around on the run game. It's a telling statistic that the Packers didn't have to punt until the middle of the 4th quarter. Crap, the season's over.

Even though they eliminated my Hawks, how can you root against Favre? Go Packers and take care of whoever wins on Sunday.

Right and you cheeseheads weren't craping your pants when they turned the ball over twice and fell behind 14 point so quickly. Please...

One heck of a comeback. They acted like a veteran team and never lost their composure when all their fans surely did. You can hear a pin drop in that stadium.

Thought this was worth a gas or two, from the Patriots/Jaguars game blog at SI (following the Rodney Harrison INT):

But Rod, you really need to take some advice from Keith Olbermann: real men don't taunt.

Man, that is high-larious on so many levels.

The Packers are self destructing….

Wow, Green Bay is making this the easiest game of the year. Seattle recovered two fumbles in a minute nine.

So much for any third of my call (Packers straight-up, Packers -7.5, under-43.5).

I'm a big Bills fan, but since they aren't in it this year, I'll root for my cousins favorite team the Packers.
Congrats to the Packers fans. Hope you can go all the way.

Green Bay 42
Seattle 20

Wish I could stay to see another scare come into the Pats' lives, but I have to go eat.
