Vote for the republican candidate that you like the least.

That link brought me to the wrong poll. I wasn't paying attention. Until I saw the results...I accidentally voted for Chucklebee. It said least so I said that's easy, then the results page said best chance. I shouldn't do polls so early in the morning. I left you a comment on the site. Subtract a Huck. And please, don't hate me.

Huck is funny. I hope he gets his own show after he loses the primary, and makes a lot of money and keeps Republicans honest on pro-life issues.

Huckabee's about as good at deadpanning scripted one-liners as Al Gore is. Unfortunately that kind of "charisma" (if that's what you want to call it) is paper thin. This Abbot and Costello buddy-buddy routine will turn ugly as Hell if Huckabee gets nominated to replace George Bush as the liberal media's Most Evil Man In The Universe.

OF COURSE liberals aren't fawning over Mike Huckabee because they want the Democrats to lose in November. This will all blow up in his face once the primary is over and the people he's shown America are his most trusted friends all turn on him like a pack of rabid pit bulls.

Anyone read Colby’s “I Am America” book, by the way? My sainted mother gave it to me for Christmas, for reasons not yet explained. Two hours of reading, one laugh.

Touché. It is remarkably unfunny.

If he had Fred Thompson’s policies, we’d be calling him the new Reagan.

Interesting analysis. Read this news story below and guess who the Nashua Telegraph is talking about.

http://race42008.com/2008/01/09/more-attacks-on-a-conservatives-credentials/

    Our Opinion
    Nashua Telegraph 11/25/BLANK

    Mr. BLANK Record
BLANK, or so the ultraconservative legend runs, brought the yeasty state of BLANK to the brink of perfection during his two terms as governor.

Since his tenure as governor constitutes his first and only governmental service and experience, Mr. and his flacks make much of it; too much, in fact.

When he announced his candidacy for the Republican presidential nomination last week, Mr. BLANK performed the obligatory “mess in Washington” routine and promised to clean it up tidily, using the techniques he employed as governor of BLANK to “manage government more efficiently.” “We found that fiscal responsibility is possible, that the welfare rolls can come down, that social problems can be met below the federal level.” So much for the rhetoric. Now for the record:
While was governor of BLANK the state budget soared from $4.6 billion to $10.2 billion — a more than 100 per cent increase.

While BLANK was governor of BLANK the state sales tax was increased from 4 per cent to 6 per cent, the corporate income tax was increased from 5.5 per cent to 9 per cent, and the top personal income tax was increased from 7 per cent to 11 per cent.

While BLANK was governor of the number of state employees increased by 5.7 per cent. This is the mart who promises to cut armies of employees off the federal payroll, who promises to balance the budget, who promises to begin paying off the national debt and who, to top his program of conservative delights, promises to cut taxes to boot.

Some people may be charmed by BLANK pitch; some people may even be persuaded, but the difference between promises and performance, between the BLANK rhetoric and the BLANK record is a difference that should be made plain to the voters of New Hampshire and the rest of the nation.

Yes, you guessed it right it was Reagan. I'm not defending tax increases or anything of that sort. I'm just saying that there is vast similarities between how Huck is being attacked by people like the CFG and how Reagan was attacked for talking so beautifully and not having a record to back it up. Huck's record is 10 times better than his.

Keep an open mind on Huckabee like you all are with Romney. After all Romney raised fees in Massachusetts so that he won't be attacked for raising 'taxes'. He run down the state with a deficit and jobs were lost in Massachusetts after his 4 year tenure. Romney had an abysmal approval rating by 2006 and he wouldn't have won reelection as Governor.

Check it out, from 3:29 in:

Colbert: "Are we the candidates who believe Jesus and the Devil were brothers?"

Huckabee: "No, that's not us. But I'll send you a memo on that, and I'll underline all the parts in red that we need to believe."

That was the most smooth-as-ice appeal to evangelicals I have ever seen. Let it be known that I'm an evangelical Christian and I do not like Huckabee in any way, but that's almost enough to make me reconsider my vote. Very artfully done.

Wow. I would really much rather have a President who doesn't go on the Comedy central shows. Being funny should not be a requirement for being Commander in Chief.

The dumbing down of America continues.

Not even Obama is as likeable as he is.

I just don't see it. He comes off to me as a fakey, gosh durn I'm just a good ol' boy type guy who puts on the goober act to distract you while his buddy picks your pocket, ransacks your car and steals your hubcaps. The smile he appears to be smiling at you is really at his buddy who is behind you making obscene gestures at you. I thought that before I knew anything about his record or policies.

My impressions is that the difference between him and Slick Willy is that Slick knows he is a lying SOB and knows you know he is a lying SOB and his laughter is letting you in on the joke about how he is lying to you and screwing you over, whereas Huck's laughter is a self-righteous laughter at his lessors.

Fred Thompson’s ideas, Mike Huckabee’s tongue, Giuliani’s fight, Mitt’s management and McCain’s campaign style = unstoppable.

OK, since you asked so nicely, vote for me for President.

I'd never watched Colbert before, but my first impression is that he's kind of obnoxious. The jokes at the beginning, before we saw Huck, didn't seem funny either.

But the one he really looks like is the “chef” who does the Campbell’s soup made with sea salt commercial. Anyone seen that one? It’s uncanny.

I was thinking the same thing! The actor who plays the chef really does resemble him.

That commercial runs all the time on Fox News. A bit too often, IMO!

Huckabee should do some sort of "play on words" political ad similar to that commercial and say something exciting at the end like, "Change Rocks."

Oh wait...that saying has already been stolen - by the Obama-rama-ding-dong camp - from the teenager who started and patented the phrase for a jewelry company he started...

Guess we can add the sin of "theft" to the long line of Obama lies, public policy flaws, and terribe Marxist worldview policies!

If we could take several candidates in the GOP field (Several of Fred’s policies, McCain’s foreign policy, Rudy’s crime fighting and advisers, Huckabee’s personality, etc.), we’d have a hell of a candidate.

I'm in the lab now. I'll work on some cloning and splicing to get us the perfect candidate. Can anyone get me some DNA samples?

Is it me or do you think the Huckandpuke needs to get his running shoes on a little more often?
