There isn’t disconnect, I don’t think. Women, of all kinds, are property in the Muslims world, though I think Christian women are younger. He considered his wife a vessel to spread his “faith” (read:cult-like obsession).

Thus, he wasn’t dishonoring the word of Allah. Plus, you can do pretty much anything, as long as you say it’s for Allah’s glory, as I understand it.

I obviously don’t have the proper intellect to understand the Muslim mind.

That statement presupposes that such a thing exists.

As a father of two little girls, this just makes me sick, and as a Texan all I have to say is, if he is still in Texas he will be caught! I dont know about other states,but here people in prisons have a strange sense of honor, pedophiles and children killers dont last long in the system unless they are isolated from the rest of the prisoners. He will get to see what it really means to dishonor his family, do I have to say dont drop the soap?

I forgot to mention that the reason that the suspected honor killings in the U.K. weren’t really given much scrutiny at the time was because of “cultural sensitivities”.

I don’t get it. Why were these children still in the parents custody if all this was going on? This happened in Texas? Wow!

I’m surprised that no one did anything when the girl showed up at school with welts. They are typically so on the lookout for child abuse these days that if your kid gets a bruise on his knee he gets hauled off for questioning.

Brigitte Gabriel was interviewed by Greg Jarrett about tragic tale this last week. He asked the $64,000 question, namely – why would a Muslim who hated American values come to live here in the first place?

Gabriel noted that he is from Egypt, home of the Muslim Brotherhood who issued a directive to the faithful in the 1980’s exhorting them to go forth and multiply, and spread the Religion of Peace around the world.

Gabriel also speculated that he was probably being protected and given a safe house in a mosque.

Glenn Beck had a woman on today who knew the girls. I missed the set up to it and only caught the end of it, and she was sobbing so much it was hard to hear her.

Mark Steyn came on immediately afterwards, and talked about his human rights trial in Canada and how the plaintiffs always win, how CAIR is nothing but a Saudi front group with no members, and so on.

I think it was Steyn who said that The U.K. is re-opening something like 120 cases of dead Muslim girls to look for evidence of honor killings.

Anyway, in the story today it’s also noted that Said likely also raped his daughters ten years ago.

In October 1998, when Amina and Sarah were 9 and 8 years old, they accused their father of sexual abuse.

The allegations were reported to the Hill County sheriff’s office, where the girls told a detective their father had been touching them inappropriately. Amina told authorities she had been penetrated at least once.

An absolute monster.

There is a sick relationship between husbands and wives where child abuse is concerned. Women live in denial, or hide while their daughters are abused and somehow are able to look themselves in the mirror. You can find that dynamic in every culture in an abusive household.
