Dear boss,
In light of the fact that Obama presents a much more serious challenge to us next November than Hillary does, shhhhhhhhh.
Love, AP

Oh, now you tell her AP. Cat’s outta the bag now.

Seriously, it does look like she draped herself in her hotel room’s curtains, doesn’t it?

I forgot that Giuliani was still running…
philoquin on January 9, 2008 at 6:59 PM
Not sure if I agree that Hussein Obama would be more of challenge to us come November, but I still hope the Hildewench is the dim nominee.
The entertainment value of her running is beyond priceless.
Dave R. on January 9, 2008 at 7:00 PM
i think Hillary is actually a stronger candidate for them, Obama is just a feel good type of candidate who will wither under strong republican scrutiny.
mainmann on January 9, 2008 at 7:00 PM
Agreed. Hillary is somewhat sane on foreign policy and is politically astute enough not to support infanticide.
Also, she’s not seen as the Second Coming among the media, and, apparently, a large portion of the electorate on both sides. Looking at you, Ms. Peggy Noonan!
joewm315 on January 9, 2008 at 7:01 PM
Does Michelle travel a lot? Almost every time she’s on there there’s a different city scape in the background!
SouthernGent on January 9, 2008 at 7:02 PM
All day long, I’ve listened to the media describe Hillary’s win in NH as “stunning” and “surprising”…I sure do wish some of these folks had been around when my dad was reading my report cards in middle school.
“Two B’s and two C’s…stunning!”

I always agree with the boss…

Dude,
Michelle is O’reilly Factor (prime time) material. Screw Gibson.
CABE on January 9, 2008 at 7:15 PM
Keep the pressure on Hillary by exposing her for who she really is. Her fake tears and softening are just a ruse. That cold calculating dark heart of hers still lurks beneath the fake tears. It’ll come out again and again. This leopard can’t change her spots anymore than her immoral husband can change his.
Bill and Hillary can file chapter 13. They are both morally bankrupt.
Michelle, it amazes me how you can speak so clearly when being bombarded by questions from two different people.
Larry L. Sharp on January 9, 2008 at 7:19 PM
I actually think Hillary would be the stronger candidate.
Obama is much more liberal. Has no foreign policy experience. We don’t even know if he has any leadership skills. He sure can talk pretty though.
Keljeck on January 9, 2008 at 7:27 PM
For once I can say I’m 100% agreement with Allah. Silence her, Allah!
RightWinged on January 9, 2008 at 7:29 PM
Don’t kid yourself. AP is right. Obama is good looking. He’s a great speaker and he has no record to highlight. He’s an empty vessel who’ll keep a positive message of hope and prosperity that people will pour all their hopes and dreams into. It worked to perfection here in MA with Deval Patrick. Patrick is advising Obama and Obama is running the same exact campaign right down to the “yes we can” rhetoric. They look alike and they sound alike and if elected, Deval will be the AG.
Hillary is divisive with historically high negatives. The Right and many independents will unite to defeat her at almost all cost when push comes to shove. That won’t happen to the same degree with Obama.
TheBigOldDog on January 9, 2008 at 7:30 PM
Spot on. Because of Obama’s amorphous quality, and lack of skeletons in his closet, he is much more of a threat to conservatives in the general. The MSM have already chosen him as their next great hope. He sucks up independents in a way which Hillary could never do - as we’ve seen in both Iowa and NH.
What’s worse, underneath the facade of ‘hope’ and ‘change’, he’s even more liberal than Clinton.
Pax americana on January 9, 2008 at 7:57 PM
That was a great appearance. You done good as always.

He’s also an apostate muslim. That adds a whole new dimension to his political life.

Not if she bans anyone who calls her out.
Al-Ozarka on January 9, 2008 at 8:09 PM
Obama has a lot of problems. AP and BBC are reporting that Obama is in close contact with cousin Raila Odinga to settle the Kenyan election mess (Odinga is the opposition leader and candidate, and a Luo tribe leader — the President is of course a Kikuyu).
Odinga is problematic as he’s signed (reported by AP and BBC also) a Memorandum of Understanding with the head of the Muslim League. In return for electoral support he promises to change the Kenyan Constitution to make Islam the sole religion and institute Sharia.
“Senator Obama — do you support your cousin’s attempt to make Islam the sole religion in Kenya, and institute Sharia, and will you do the same here in this country if elected as your cousin promises in Kenya?”
The radio attack ad writes itself. Hillary is a stronger candidate.

I understand your point, and I agree that Obama is the “flavor of the month” among many on the left, but I think he came in second today because people began questioning his electability.
I think he is rather vulnerable and many areas, particularly his voting record.
Besides, the Clintonistas will take him out when the time comes, they will just have to be very careful how they go about it.
But then again, I could be wrong.
Dave R. on January 9, 2008 at 8:21 PM
Bravo Michelle! I agree, Hillary’s campaign is losing lift and the ground is coming up fast. And let’s no lose sight of the fact that Obama had some real estate deals with accused kickback artist Tony Rezko that seem a bit shady. There’s a long way to go, we’ll see how this all shakes out soon enough.

I think there’s still bad blood between her and Geraldo?

Well said AP. SSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Griz on January 9, 2008 at 8:37 PM
I don’t think Michelle is quite right about Rudy. He has been active in FL, and I don’t why that would make the national news. They are focused on the early states, so I don’t think that is much of a measure of success. I didn’t know much of anything about Rudy before the debates, and I think he has done pretty well in the last two or three expanding on AG work and NY work that relates that the average voter doesn’t know.

Love the line Michelle about Hillary,
“Re-organizing her closets”:Yup I could see Hillary rooting

AP, what Griz said. Also, what MM says about RG.. I’m in a very conservative county dowm here in Fl. Most people I know just shake their head slowly…no.

I don’t care what the video is. That’s a great screen shot on the front page.

I Love watching Michelle and hearing her views. Michelle is the one who launched Hot Air - and I am hoping to see more of her here.
Michelle demonstrates keen insight into so many issues, and smokes out the far left in their escapades and insincerity.
We need more of Michelle! What happened to the vents Hot Air started with?

Here’s the problem Spirit, ruDy has failed miserably in contests pitting each of the candidates against each other. So what if it is in one state or the other. If he is a good candidate, his message should resonate anyway (meaning he shouldn’t finish behind Ron Paul in ANY state).
ruDy was leading in both Iowa and NH. When he started to tank in the polls was when his strategy ‘morphed’. Remember when he suddenly became a ‘Red Sox fan’? Then suddenly he’s not really campaigning in NH (excuse for losing).
The only reason that he is viable is because he postponed expectations. He’ll finish 4th or 5th in Fl and he’ll still say, yeah but we’ve worked hard in all the Feb 5 states. Then he’ll win NY, probably NJ, maybe CT and that’ll be it. And he’ll say oops oh well, the people of America were wrong because they could have had me.
ruDy is not a good candidate. He won’t win any of the South if he wins the R nom.
ThackerAgency on January 9, 2008 at 11:00 PM
GO RUDY!!!
Best candidate period!

MMmmmmmmm………….
Jaibones on January 9, 2008 at 11:23 PM
That’s not true, that never has been true. Regions and states are always varied.
You could be right, I don’t know. I didn’t really pay attention to his strategy in the early parts of the campaign. I started paying attention to him when he came out with his 12 commitments and he’s been impressing me more and more since in small steps.
I think it is too early yet to determine what will happen in FL. And I think the South will rally around any strong national defense candidate like normal.
Spirit of 1776 on January 9, 2008 at 11:32 PM
Rudy is a solid conservative choice on national security, taxes, health care, immigration and judges.
In the early contests, I don’t think he was rejected by the voters, but the IA and NH races were 2- and 3-man contests, so people would tend orient their vote toward one of the people who had camped out in the state and were among the front-runners talked about every day in media horse-race stories.
Contrary to Malkin (who as usual shows herself all too willing to stretch the truth when necessary to back up her prejudices), I think Giuliani did fine in the debates. However IA and NH were not “make or break” for him, so he didn’t feature in the post-debate drama manufactured by the media.
His strategy is a risky one, no doubt, and I would never claim he is a shoo-in, especially in season which has so far been very unpredictable.
But as Huckabee, Romney and McCain continue to tear each other down, he is making good proposals, saying sensible things about the issues and running on his record instead of running away from it, and being presidential.
He also has a good, well-funded nationwide organization. The biggest factor working against him is media hype, or lack thereof, but he will be a much bigger part of The Narrative once we get to the states where he’s making his big effort.
If he falls short I’ll be sorry to see it, but that’s politics.
LagunaDave on January 9, 2008 at 11:48 PM
Why don’t you go ahead and elaborate on that?
Michelle on January 10, 2008 at 1:51 AM
In spite of yourself you have just nailed it.
MB4 on January 10, 2008 at 4:22 AM
MM great piece.
For crying out loud, the question was a plant and the tears were the result of her and ‘Wild Bill’ Hollywood friends teach them how to cry on cue.
Secondly, NH is the FL of the Primaries. Unlike Iowa, NH count pieces of paper submitted by people (sometimes several times and for different people-they believe in changing their minds often) who may not have a TSA background check.
In Iowa you only count when you show up in person and your identity is verified. Therefore, the real people of Iowa showed us the line-up and the Demoncrates helped push Huckabee because he’s a Clinton patsy.
Obama is a liberal but as history repeats itself, (45-50 years represent a generational shift) so he represents the JFK of this Millennium.
MSGTAS on January 10, 2008 at 8:33 AM
I hope Hillary eventually wins the nomination because I too think she will be easier to beat in the general.Soooo much junk in her closet! But, I must admit, I am enjoying seeing her & Bill squirm under the possibility of loosing! I hope it comes down to the very last moment…oh the Joy!
By the way..Michelle rocks!! Fiesty AND smart!
