In the Fox debate when Fred! went Fred all over Huckabee he was in great form, he could have said just as much if not more about McCain, and he didn’t. That should have been my first clue.

As one person said, if you see McCain and Kennedy smiling, you are about to get #*&%@$.

Mitt Romney wins in Michigan. That’s two wins, two second places. Bryan at Hot Air says that makes him the front-runner. This win will certainly put him ahead in the delegate count, and blunts the momentum of John McCain and……

Generally the candidate who is best on second amendment rights is the best candidate on preserving the constitution all around in my experience.

I hope Huck stomps Willard Romney and Juan Mcshamnesty in michigan…..he certainly will in south carolina!

Huck is just like a guy I work with: An empty suit that tries to fake everyone out with a silver tongue; a goto guy for anything lightweight, but he’s worthless in a serious situation and “heavy lifting” is required.

When terrorists attack, and/or we’re overrun with illegal immigrants we can count on Huck to “use the golden rule”… we’ll repel them with kindness, all paid for by the working men and women of the US of A and their increasingly generous mandatory tax contributions.

I’ll take a bulldog over poser Huck anyday.

What’s next? A “Two Americas” speech a la John Edwards? Promises to “fight” for “the people against the powerful?” Promising to take our side (?) against Big Business, Big Oil, and Big Pharmaceuticals? Any other cliches I’ve missed?

Of course, McCain also did a bit of demagoguery against Big Pharmaceuticals in the New Hampshire debate. But McCain’s conservative bona fides have always been a little iffy.

SECOND LOOK AT THE KETCHUP MAKER!

Huckabee only has one scheduled event in Michigan before the primary, a speech to the Detroit Economic Club, where only elitist Detroiters will see or hear him. They are not rank-and-file Michigan Republican Primary voters.

Debbie’s wrong about the Det Econ Club being elitist. Sure, most of the movers and shakers in the area belong, but the total membership is something like 3200 and members are encouraged to bring guests, so it’s not like it’s an elitist organization – anyone can join if they want to pay the membership fees. My guess is that most of the members are typical Republican small business owners who use the meetings to network and get some biz. Typically the speakers at their lunch meetings are nationally prominent and there is usually significant media coverage. When I was a kid one of my friends’ dads was a member and he certainly wasn’t a captain of industry, he was a shrink. I went to a luncheon meeting with them once, I’m pretty sure the speaker was one of the Kennedys, either Bobby or Ted.

I give Debbie this..that woman has courage..a conservative in the liberal land of the greater Detroit area..And she goes out there day after day! :)

Detroit and Michigan are not just the UAW and Ann Arbor. Remember, we elected John Engler for governor for three terms (not to mention Mitt’s dad a couple of times in the 60s), and all those Macomb county “Reagan Democrats” are critical to Republican success in statewide and presidential elections.

If you buy a lot of junk you will pay more…..I wish more people would take a serious look at the Fair Tax. How could anyone doubt how conservative this man is?

With that said, even though Huck is not my 1st choice, I thought this was a good ad and a good message. How can anyone say he is not a conservative? How can anyone doubt his republican roots? Has hotair been taken over by the Mitt people?

Huckabee is about as traditional a guy you can get.

Those of you who seem to be supported Mitt are supporting the least conservative and least republican of the bunch. Rudy is a social liberal and foreign policy and economic conservative…he does not hide from that record..if you want to be mayor of NYC you have to be somewhat socially liberal….just as if you are going to be Gov. of Mass. you are going to be liberal as well. OH….I forgot…Mitt had a great awakening to conservative after George Allen, an excellent Gov. of Va, who would have been a good conservative candidate imploded on that Indian kid.

We could do a lot worse than Huck as President. This was a good ad.

Again, you Mitt supporters…how is he different than Kerry?

Mitt Romney reminds people of Gordon Gekko from Wallstreet the movie. They don’t trust him. He will do anything to make a buck off the middle class people.
