Video: “I actually have emotions. I know that there are some people who doubt that.”
posted at 8:01 pm on January 7, 2008 by Allahpundit
Phony cackle? Check. Reason for tears? Check. Irritating faux-modest boasting about how “other-oriented” she is? Checkity check check!
Update: I believe the full interview is airing on CNN tomorrow morning. Lord knows what other bon mots await.

Is that woman a vampire?
Seriously.
thareb on January 7, 2008 at 8:03 PM
Its like watching a robot explain why its program is messing up.
I dont doubt she has emotions just they are mostly negative ones. The positive ones only are an attempt to mask the negative ones.
William Amos on January 7, 2008 at 8:04 PM
I’m not sure if I have ever heard anything that comes out of her mouth which was true. Ever. This is no exception. Only a true idealogoue could believe her here.
Theophile on January 7, 2008 at 8:04 PM
“My biggest weakness is that I care too much!”
Weight of Glory on January 7, 2008 at 8:05 PM
That’s an interesting self-analysis. Plays right into her political theme though and if voters see that it might have the same result as the ‘boys club’ bit. She says she wants to measured by does instead of what she does, it is just shot at Obama – another way of saying experience is more important that rhetoric.
Spirit of 1776 on January 7, 2008 at 8:06 PM
If you constantly have to tell people you have emotions or that you`re likeable, it means they`re not seeing any of it.
ThePrez on January 7, 2008 at 8:07 PM
Oddly enough, it looks as if the CNN logo in the backround is riding above a partial U.S. flag. It looks as if CNN is trying to place themselves above the U.S.. I don’t know. Just something that caught my eye.
Theophile on January 7, 2008 at 8:08 PM
How she can say this with a straight face is unbelievable to me, even controlling for the fact that she is a Clinton. I mean, chutzpa doesn’t even cover it. I dare say she may have Bill beat in that department, which is saying a lot.
Wineaholic on January 7, 2008 at 8:08 PM
Oh, now she is a victim of feminism.
pedestrian on January 7, 2008 at 8:08 PM
A bit of M. Thatcher there:) – “If you have to tell people you are a lady…”
Spirit of 1776 on January 7, 2008 at 8:08 PM
She also mentioned the “guy” who drove up from NY just to say how wonderful she was. Interesting that that came on the heels of MSNBC goofing on the number of NY’ers at her speeches.
Weight of Glory on January 7, 2008 at 8:09 PM
She thinks that this rough?
Wait until she has to go against third world leaders.
jukin on January 7, 2008 at 8:10 PM
Sure she has emotions . . . just like any other spoiled brat kid that doesn’t get what it wants. This woman is as phony as a $3 bill.

quiet, raspy voice to show how hard you have been campaigning: check.
Weight of Glory on January 7, 2008 at 8:12 PM
They must have sampled enough people who said she was cold, so now she is showing emotions. Go Obama!

“Oh, whoa is me, boo hoo, vote for me ’cause I’m a girl and the mean old boys are pickin’ on me! Whaaaaah!”

My first time being quoted AND I have a mind like M. Thatcher…….Atleast for a minute. :)
ThePrez on January 7, 2008 at 8:13 PM
Wow, talk about spin… The woman didn’t ask how she was doing. She asked “How do you do it?” — referring to the fact that Clinton’s hair always looked nice. Not exactly a reason to get choked up.
Spolitics on January 7, 2008 at 8:14 PM
Paranoid much?
Darth Executor on January 7, 2008 at 8:15 PM
She’s been working on the cackle, I think. Much less piercing, and presented at an appropriate time. SHe’s getting better.
The media should start asking her this:
The results may surprise some people.
see-dubya on January 7, 2008 at 8:15 PM
That estrogine tends to get in the way of those masculine emotions doesn’t it?
Pcoop on January 7, 2008 at 8:16 PM
This, from one of the coldest, most calculating Clintons on the planet. No, sweetie, no doubt here. I am positive that you are an icy cold, manipulative, Machiavelli.
Emotions to her are like men – generally avoided at best, ruthlessly manipulated at best.
fourstringfuror on January 7, 2008 at 8:17 PM
Wait… I thought Obama was a third-world leader. At least, that’s what Chrissy told me.
Spolitics on January 7, 2008 at 8:18 PM
Where do you think Hillary has the thickest callouses, on her hands or on her back?
fogw on January 7, 2008 at 8:18 PM
Staring down islamo terrosists is hard work Shrillary. Apparently, you aren’t up for the job if a rigorous primary season reduces you to tears. Please.
SouthernGent on January 7, 2008 at 8:19 PM
Heh! That’s funny!
Weight of Glory on January 7, 2008 at 8:19 PM
I think her near-tears came from fatigue! If this is fatiguing to her, I dread to think what 4 years as President will do to her. Is she going to break down when Putin calls her all sorts of names? Have you seen President Bush’s hair–that grey didn’t get there because he was well rested!! I certainly wouldn’t say this about ALL women but for Hillary, I don’t think she has what it takes!!
rightwingpastor on January 7, 2008 at 8:19 PM
No, no, you’re thinking third rate leader.
ErikTheRed on January 7, 2008 at 8:20 PM
How pathetic… but what else should we expect from the Communist News Network.

Dangnabit. I linked to the wrong clip. Where’s the one where Chrissy said Obama was “delivered to us from Indonesia?”
Spolitics on January 7, 2008 at 8:23 PM
Not really, it’s just that with all of the hoopla over the “window/cross” in the Huckabee ad, I just thought that it would be fun to scrutinize the media presentations the way that they scrutinized his. Oh, and it caught my eye.
Theophile on January 7, 2008 at 8:25 PM
Oooooohhh! When I heard that on the radio today, I thought she meant “spayed” work. Signaling that Obama is more feminine than she is. Well! That changes everything.
Weight of Glory on January 7, 2008 at 8:26 PM
Pcoop, that would be “ruthless manipulation.”
fourstringfuror on January 7, 2008 at 8:26 PM
Reference to Michelle’s comment about being rehearsed and calculated. check a roony
sonnyspats1 on January 7, 2008 at 8:26 PM
Hillary is a person. She was born with feelings like everyone else. I am sure that at some point in her life she actually cared and cried like the rest of us. At some point she walked away from all of that useless “human” baggage and became “enlightened”.
THAT is the persona that she has projected FOREVER. She wants power and that is all. That “show of emotion” was a calculated political display. She reaps what she has sown.
Talon on January 7, 2008 at 8:26 PM
If I were her, I’d be outwardly focused too. Anything to keep from having to take an honest look at myself. Maybe that’s why she started crying.
Spolitics on January 7, 2008 at 8:31 PM
Oh come on people, where is your willing suspension of disbelief?
pedestrian on January 7, 2008 at 8:32 PM
Hillary claims the guy from New York, about the
“saving jobs” line,doesn’t exist.
If I heard Rush right today(sorry, for the double pun!),
he claims the parking lot had no New York licence plates!
Here’s another reminder of Clinton’s and the media.
During Clinton’s term,the fifty-year Anniversary of
World War 2,Bill was strutting the beach,Omaha I think.
He just so happened to find a bunch of little white rocks,
and arranged them in a little cross, and camera’s rolling
he has a tear running down his face, and to boot used a
religious symbol.
So the Clinton’s are still lying, planting and stacking
the audience,what’s next voter fraud!

I’m using it all to convince myself that Huck actually is a conservative.
Spolitics on January 7, 2008 at 8:35 PM
There is a lurking fear in the back of my mind, however, concerning all this outward-likable-approachable-fuzzy-perception focus. And that is, there hasn’t been one interview where she is asked by a reporter abut any aspect of her various policies. Now, I know that there is always that focus of style over substance by the media, but there are at least those moments when even the Press ask questions that delve into public policy. This means that the greatest thing she has to overcome is perception. Now that is tough when the media is against you, as it seems they are now. But should that change, she would make and incredible comeback.
Weight of Glory on January 7, 2008 at 8:38 PM
Uh. that would be “about”
Weight of Glory on January 7, 2008 at 8:40 PM
I think this is a great strategy for ConHillary, she get’s on the view, have NAG and code pink on as well, and for the exception of Elizabeth it breaks out into a crying frenzy,
and if that doesn’t work,ConHillary could try the same stunt
on the Oprah show!Hahaha.

At least she didn’t say it was a botched joke.

William Amos on January 7, 2008 at 9:19 PM
I could almost come to be a little empathetic to Hillary, but then she was one cold fish when claiming a “right wing conspiracy” when referring to the women who were part of Bill’s bimbo eruptions.

There’s no crying in baseball! OMG.
If she can’t handle this she isnt good material anyway.
case and point. Her and Bill can go live off the millions they have banked from all the stuff they’ve done. I simply do not want to hear her crap any longer. she nothing but a phoney and false thing.

“Third world leaders” who cut their teeth on a Kalashnikov and who’s first 50 sexual experiences, were rape.
Margret Thatcher proved some women have the ability to face the worst of the worlds actors, Hillary has proven she can’t.

sabbott on January 8, 2008 at 1:56 AM
There is NOTHING this woman does that is not calculated, planned, strategized, or rehearsed. From her Dr. Evil laugh, to her FAKE crying, to her use of the word “spade” when referring to Obama’s experience.
She sees herself as a brand, and everything she does is a public relations stunt. The crying was as contrived as it gets.
MBFlyerfan on January 8, 2008 at 7:28 AM

The amazing thing about the story is that she actually teared up about HERSELF!!! These were not tears for the actual suffering of any real person enduring a truly tragic event. This was the Chill getting misty-eyed about how hard this has been on her!! The Chill cannot even emote about other people – at least Slick had the decency to “feel your pain” – she can’t even manage that!!
How any decent normal human being with warm blood coursing through their veins could even consider voting for the Chill is beyond me!
