A man of few words, Fred Thompson, but the few words he does uses, he uses well. Here he whacks at both John McCain and Rudy Giuliani for their illegal immigration policies.
The problem is, that doesn’t seem to be true. This is from MSNBC on Jan 24, 2007.

For what it’s worth and whatever you think of them individually, I thought that last clip where all the candidates shared the stage was one of the most bipartisan moments I’ve seen on TV in a long time.

There is only a 75% chance that the next president elect was in that room, in the case of only one viable independent/off party running.
In the case of more than one viable independent/off party running, the percentage drops down to 50%.

What did I think about the last clip, with all of the candidates on the stage? How civilized most of our society really is. They’re all competing with one another, many with completely opposite ideals, and none of them tried to blow each other up. And on January 20, 2009, there will be yet another peaceful hand-over of power.

If John Edwards wasn’t a woman I’d say someone should punch her square in the mouth. I still can’t believe he’s allowed to get away with being the far left anti-war guy, when in the 2004 primaries he was THE pro-war Democrat among the bunch who supported Bush’s policies on Iraq. Fred gave the most serious answers every time he was given the floor. McCain … except for his one Mitt quip,… seemed asleep. Romney looked frenzied. Paul was… well, PAUL. Rudy did OK for him.

I was hoping to see the picture of Fred trying to get away from Ron Paul. That scene got a chuckle from me.
Fred is the only one who came across as Presidential. The rest came across as cheap politicians, IMHO.
