MadisonC, my friend, most of it is quotes from Mr. Wiener/Whiner, or cigarman, as my friend Danno calls him. Where are you Danno? Come back here – we need you.

In the eight years, and all which followed, I haven’t heard this much snivelling.

I so wish for her to be the nominee so we could put her in her proper place. Should she ever win (so help us) it w/b 8 more years of this. Seeing/hearing this scummy couple, and to put up with their unaccountable utterances would provide much for the media/blogs, but would nauseate our country non-stop.

What, they only got 95% favorable press?????? The 8astards!!!!!!

conservnut on January 4, 2008 at 11:02 PM

What ever happened to Giuliani? Is McCain going to take NH, which will pretty much end Romney, and Huck (hopefully) is dead in the water just about everywhere now…. but wasn’t McCain pretty much dead too? He’s always had some weird base in NH, but other than that, does he stand a chance going forward even if he does take NH? I’m thinking there is an opportunity to watch everyone kill each other off and, assuming the Clinton machine steps up like you know they will, could we get back to a Rudy vs. Hillary race soon?

Get ready Obama. They’re desperate and are sharpening her claws.

Bill Clinton voiced his abiding anger at the media’s coverage of him and his wife in Durham, N.H., today, and suggested that media bias will force Clinton to go negative on Barack Obama.

Har! The party of bleeding hearts and astronomical race pimp projection reacting positively to a white superior complex woman and her white narcissist, womanizing husband attacking a young, fresh faced, articulate black man and his black family.

Bill knows that attacking Obama has already had the effect of enraging Democrat party voters, does he really think blaming the media will change that?
Too funny Jefferson.

“Nobody would like it better than us if you could get that personal vilification out of there, because nobody’s been vilified more than we have,” he said,

Entelechy on January 5, 2008 at 12:01 AM

Kini, thank you for that link. More hilarity, just from the bolded areas, the second, after having just yammered about “change”:

By comparison Hillary was twice booed. The first time was when she said she has always and will continue to work for “change for you. The audience, particularly from Obama supporters (they were waving Obama signs) let out a noise that sounded like a thousand people collectively groaning. The second time came a few minutes later when Clinton said: “The there are two big questions for voters in New Hampshire. One is: who will be ready to lead from day one? The second,” and here Clinton was forced to pause as boos from the crowd mixed with cheers from her own supporters. “Is who can we nominate who will go the distance against the Republicans?”

Speakup, you’re kidding about being shy.

Michael in MI on January 5, 2008 at 12:27 AM

Michael in MI, I don’t think the GOP has a candidate who stands for too much. It’s a slim field this year. Iowa is just the beginning. It will probably be a zig-zagging for a while. At this point I’m not very hopeful but much can happen.

Entelechy on January 5, 2008 at 12:29 AM

Entelechy, most of these candidates are running on change.
Change in direction
Change in policy
Change in taxes
Change in sock and underwear.

Eh, you got change fo a dalla?

I can expect the next Stephanopoulos interview to ask, “Why? We all want to see Bill back in the White House.”

And Hill just – either coldly staring or cackling.

I sense cigars won’t be passed around if she does win.

Kini on January 5, 2008 at 12:35 AM

Entelechy on January 5, 2008 at 12:29 AM

I disagree. All the candidates have things they stand for, but there are not many who stand for conservatism. Fred Thompson and Duncan Hunter are the only two I see who come close. But the so-called conservative base never rallied around Fred Thompson. Instead, they have been running back and forth rallying around whoever is the choice of the day to defeat Hillary or Mike Huckabee. I’m surprised the rotation of the earth has not changed based on all the running around Republican voters are doing, going back and forth, back and forth from RINO to RINO, based on the story or poll of the day.

I keep going back to that analogy of the guy finding out that girls don’t actually go after what they say they want in a guy. I’m beginning to believe that conservatives are just like that girl. They complained about Rudy, McCain, President Bush and RINOs in Congress for the past 7 years and yet, when someone comes along expressing Conservatism, they don’t get behind him.

That tells me that they really did not mean what they were saying all these years.

Michael in MI on January 5, 2008 at 12:36 AM

Kini on January 5, 2008 at 12:43 AM

Michael in MI on January 5, 2008 at 12:36 AM

That may be partially due to BDS and our disappointment with some of Bush’s immigration and spending policies. People have forgotten what real conservatism is about. This new crop of candidates seems more willing to appease rather than lead. With the exceptions of Thompson, Hunter and Brownback.

What will it take? Another Jimmy Carter malaise to wake us up?
A mushroom cloud over an American city?

Kini on January 5, 2008 at 12:49 AM

Michael in MI on January 5, 2008 at 12:36 AM

Michael, yes, it was implied about “standing for conservative values”. I appreciate your idealism and I don’t want to give up mine completely. However, I agree with your last sentence. The party is not serious. It also is leaderless, and as all entities in this condition, is flailing. Also, the voters are not informed and not serious.

Opinionnation on January 5, 2008 at 12:58 AM

Kini on January 5, 2008 at 12:49 AM

What I don’t get is why people are even considering John McCain to stop Mike Huckabee. McCain is as bad or worse on an issue that is supposed to be the issue: illegal immigration. And McCain is not only wrong on the issue, he is downright mean and insulting to anyone who disagrees with him on the issue, calling people nativists and racists, etc. Based on that, I eliminated John McCain from consideration long ago.

I would have thought others would have as well. But for some reason, he is gaining traction again.

Maybe I am just completely illogical in my treatment of this primary campaign, but my rationality is that I know what I want in a President and then I look at all the candidates and what they stand for. If they are wrong on the issues most important to me, I eliminate them from consideration. I then settle on a candidate and am now waiting for my primary to vote for him. If he does not win the primary, THEN I will reassess to see if I can, in good conscience, vote for the GOP nominee, whom I don’t support whatsoever.

But I don’t see others doing this. I see people who say they are conservatives who do not like RINOs, running back and forth between this RINO candidate to that RINO candidate, instead of eliminating the RINOs and putting their support behind a conservative candidate. I just don’t understand this.

The only thing I can rationalize is that, like the female analogy, all this talk from conservatives these last few years about not liking RINOs and not voting for them and wanting to get conservatives in office was just all talk.

Michael in MI on January 5, 2008 at 12:58 AM

How does this relate to the Clintons? Maybe they have sensitivities too.

Entelechy on January 5, 2008 at 12:22 AM

A, they don’t need sensitivities they have entitlement.

B, they may have sensitivities, but even half of their own party doesn’t care, anymore.

C, I’ll bet their sensitivities have a Psychiatrist riding around in the Hillabus with them.

D, people always laugh when I tell them I’m shy, I haven’t figured that out.

Speakup on January 5, 2008 at 1:00 AM

Entelechy on January 5, 2008 at 12:55 AM

Entelechy – I believe the GOP is going to be hit with a tough reality come the general election if they nominate a RINO. Because GOP campaigners will have to try to convince people to come out to vote based on fear of the Democrat opponent. That message will not resonate with many independents, moderates and then idealists such as me. People want to vote FOR something, not against things or people.

I already know that I can’t campaign for Huckabee, Rudy, Mitt or McCain, because I don’t support them. If I were to encourage someone to vote for them in the general (if one of them is the nominee), and the person came back and listed off all their deficiences, I would only be able to shrug and say “yeah, I know, but they’re better than (the Democrat nominee) at least.”

That is not inspiring.

The redefinition of conservatism is what the we are seeing from Romney and Huckabee. McCain is a RINO, with out a doubt.
The closest I’ve seen to real conservative values, and still in the race, is Thompson, but like you say, the base has not rallied to him and I don’t understand that at all either. Except, perhaps the war has people shelled shocked into passivism.

This is why the GOP is likely to lose. You don’t have respect fellow members of the party enough to go with who the majority pics as the representative, yet you expect their vote if the candidate is your pick.
There are many moderates/independents like me who are tired of this attitude and are seriously considering sitting out the election or going with the Dems this time if Obama is the nominee.
Maybe that’s what the party of Reagan needs to in order to go back to his principles of mutual respect and a unified party.

Boy, arkansas sure produces woosey crybabies. huckster cries “negative!” when another candidate points out his record, clinton cries when he’s not treated like a god.

peacenprosperity on January 5, 2008 at 7:54 AM

Wild Bill at his worst.

He even lies to himself by making claims such as- “even if you’ve been totally exonerated of every single charge ever leveled against you, which Hillary was”.

He and his wife have never allowed many questions and allegations leveled against them to be answered. Will we ever get the documents that show Hitlerys experience? Show us the bank records that show the funds from her Hsu dealings were actually returned.

Self centered and delusional that they are owed everything because in their make believe world they are the personification of the Tzars of Russia of old.

Also, listening to Huckabee I think it is time to test the water in Arkansas because there is something that does not allow its leaders to be able to face reality in a real manner.

From the genius husband of the genius wife, poor grammar.
“Nobody would be happier to see all this go away than us.”
“Us” would be happier to see all this go away than nobody?!
we-we-we, all the way home.

Don’t congratulate yourself so much for being a so-called “moderate” or independent. The current Dem’s are marxists. That you can’t see that, or think that moderate, says it all.

JiangxiDad on January 5, 2008 at 8:16 AM

Hill and Bubba are a facade surrounded by protectors . . . when the the facade crumbles (and it will), they will become nothing more than the weak, sterile little man that manipulated the Wizard of Oz.

Nice one. LOL.

Komrade Klinton is such a low life. He wasn’t the first black president, he was just a weak, miserable lecher and should be shunned.

I always figured you for the kind of voter that likes Obama, Bradky. Care to list his Presidential qualifications and qualities for me?

Jaibones on January 5, 2008 at 8:31 AM

…except maybe, ummm, Satan. Or Judas Iscariot. Yup. That’d be about it.

Nice complex you’ve got going there, Mr. Ex-President.

Captain Scarlet on January 5, 2008 at 3:50 AM

Mussolinini! What about Mussolini? They really vilified him a lot, too.

Jaibones on January 5, 2008 at 8:35 AM

I think the Clintons have been lying for so long and reaping rewards through their lies, that they have become incapable of speaking truth.

Having been dubbed the King of all Liars under the guise of being the politician extraordinaire by the MSM, Billy Jeff feels he has not only been given a free reign to lie, but honestly believes the public adores him all the more each time a whopper leaves his lips.

The Clintons haven’t changed the political landscape and reporting thereof in this country, they have vaporized it beyond recognition.

And they get the ultimate high off their own vapor trail.

Jaibones,

Always challenging but never quite getting the point. You will enjoy the “Home of President Obama” signs as you drive into Illinois and Chicago….

JiangxiDad on January 5, 2008 at 8:16 AM

Let me get this straight. You say Democrat=marxist? When the left calls the GOP Neocons and Nazis is it true?
No more so than your sweeping characterization of 60-70 million of your fellow citizens who are registered as Democrats.
but I do thank you for proving my point in regards to the current state of the GOP.

He won in Iowa.

Stir your tea leaves again.

Dude. you missed the comments leading to that sarcastic remark. Share some of your leaves with the rest of us.

Bradky on January 5, 2008 at 8:54 AM

Let me get this straight. You say Democrat=marxist? fascist. When the left calls the GOP Neocons Jews and Nazis is it true?

Nope, he was wrong. The present democrat party and their leaders resemble germany and austria in the 1930’s. Looking for boogeymen everywhere (Neocons/Jews) to blame for the state of things. Wanting the government to step in and control the golden goose so they can reap the benefits instead of those who worked for it. The democrats are fascists, they want to control the means of production and seize the profits (see hilary on the oil companies and edwards on everything else) without doing any of the work. The rank and file go along blindly and when everything falls apart will claim innocence/ignorance of what was going on. The leadership of the democrat party are hard, cold fascists and the rank and file are a class of self pitiing victims.

Bradky on January 5, 2008 at 8:40 AM

I said the candidates, not the followers. The followers are Schmucks, traitors, ignorant, feeble-minded, and yes, some are fellow-travelers.

That just about covers the 60-70 million you were referring to.

JiangxiDad on January 5, 2008 at 9:10 AM

The followers are Schmucks, traitors, ignorant, feeble-minded, and yes, some are fellow-travelers.

There are two kinds of grass roots liberals

1)Those who consider themselves victims and think they deserve what hardworking Americans have without having to work for it.

2)Those whose political views are shaped by how they want the world to perceive them. They believe liberals are enlightened and compassionate and that’s how they want people to think of them. They think in slogans. Their perceptions are not based in logic, reason or reality.

peacenprosperity on January 5, 2008 at 9:19 AM

Yes, well said. I have lived among both types my entire life, and they comprise all of my family members. So I am particularly sensitive to any notion that either group is to be respected because they are “my fellow citizens.”

JiangxiDad on January 5, 2008 at 9:21 AM

Bwahahahaha!!!

I just seen a clip on Fox with Hillary asking…

“those who support me, those that are undecided, and those who THINK they support someone else”

Good gravy! The woman has no shame! And this quote gets even better (if you can even imagine that!).

Over the next 5 days, she wants to know from those folks what they want to know about them. THEM?! Does she have a friggen mouse in her pocket? No she doesn’t. It’s a rat, and his name is Bill.

And it gets BETTER!!!

Well, since I THINK I support republicans, I want to know about Hsu, Vince, Rose law firm, cattle futures, sock documents, and a myriad of other unexplained events.

But I have the feeling that what will happen is that they will decide what we all want to know and answer it the way they want us to know it.
