Hey – Cardio-Cranial Thrombosis is a SERIOUS condition, and it HAS been documented that Beck suffered from it! Unfortunately, it’s also not unusual for the surgery for this to go awry – as it appears to have in Glenn’s case.

Bad hospitals do indeed kill people. Especially when combined with bad doctors. Thankfully, Glenn is on the road to recovery. It will be very interesting to see what he has to say on Monday.

I don’t agree with Glenn Beck on everything, but I do appreciate his passion on the border and so-called “global warming,” among other things. I also enjoy his interviews with Joel Rosenberg!

I remember when I awoke from my lumbar surgery, it was the most painful experience of my life. It felt like a raw nerve radiating throughout my entire body. They wanted to cut me open again and I said no freakin’ way.

I had major surgery a few years back and had some strange reactions to the pain meds. They definitely played with my head. Got myself off them ASAP, pretty darn fast considering the extent of the surgery. GB could have been going through some sort of psychosis induced by the pain meds.

BL@KBIRD, DITTO to you. The excessive salivation is the hallmark of a Compazine-like drug allergy. Ask your doctor about it. If true, then stay away from any of “the …zines” =drugs ending in “zine” (thorazine, etc. and all generic forms of same)

Sounds like it could’ve been an allergic reaction to a Compazine-like drug (commonly administered to prevent nausea after surgery) in combination with post-op narcotics. Hallucinations are not rare in these situations & it should be noted in bold on future medical records.

Sounds like a drug reaction.

I experienced a similar thing post surgery. It started with non stop salivation which I could get no explanation for(that was encouraging). This progressed to paranoid hallucinations (docs and nurses plotting my demise in the hallways) aural and visual, then after a few days, depression that whispered suicide. A week or more of absolute hell completely unrecognized or addressed by the staff.

Perhaps this is his complaint.

If it was back surgery, let me say what I would say to anyone considering such surgery: DON’T.

My wife worked in health care for many years, including working in physical therapy and rehab. She says she never encountered anyone who underwent this kind of surgery who experienced genuine relief as a result. In many cases, the “cure” is worse than the original problem.

If you have a back condition that can be treated with medication, stick with the meds. The state of surgical science is obviously not far enough advanced to make spinal surgery a reliable treatment.
