It case you were not as worried as before the assassination, but Pakistan has nuclear weapons.

I think this needs context.

PAKISTAN HAS NUCLEAR WEAPONS and thinks they can fabricate the truth when THEIR IS VIDEO EVIDENCE contradicting their claims.

I’d like to hear some US Mil types talk about conversing with their Pakistani counterparts. Are these Pakistanis serious at all?

So, Bill Richardson’s solution was right on the money, eh? Throw him out and develop a coalition of peace loving folks only dedicated to what’s right for the country.
And, after Edwards himself talked to Musharraf right after it happened in an effort to guide him. I can’t wait to get Hillary’s take on all this, if she isn’t afraid to make another comment on Pakistan. I’ll betcha it will be triple vetted before she opens her mouth.

Key here is the chaos that surrounds this investigation, is endmic of the society at large right now.

Pakistan is slipping further and further into low third world status, and we are adding pressure because of our own internal politics.

When I heard that John Edwards had called Musharif, and Shrillary and Obuma had all made patently absurd public comments about it…. it showed me how far we have sunk from having a coherent foreign policy… and a SINGLE foreign policy.

The hosing away of evidence is unsurprising to me, given that this is the third world we’re talking about. The average Pakistani probably doesn’t know about germs causing disease, let alone the finer, or even broader points of forensic evidence.

The police likely come to their positions through money and connections, not training, so their job performance is about on par given the nature of things.

Lastly, it’s hard for westerners to appreciate just how big a deal honor and shame are in the east. I think a coverup by the local military bigwigs is the most likely scenario, in an attempt to save face.
