I remember back in 2000 how Bush was portrayed as ignorant because he couldn’t name Presidents and PMs of obscure countries, or even not so obscure countries.

The media would yap all about his ignorance and stupidity.

Democrats portray same stupidity and ignorance and free passes for all abound.

Back in 2000 it was somewhat forgivable as Bush was trying to play to the isolationist, protectionist base. But, since 9/11 worldly affairs, especially in terrorist occupied lands is key.

I honestly think every Presidential Candidate should be ambushed with a few questions along the line of:

What is the difference between Sunni Islam and Shiite Islam?
What branch of Islam does Wahabiism closely align with?
What is a hadith?
The koran is divided into two segments? What are they and what is markedly different between the two?
Islam is arabic for: A. Peace B. Submission?
What came first, the Crusades or Islamic expansionism?
Which of the three monotheistic religions is oldest? Judaism, Islam, Christianity?
Muslims regard Jesus as: A. The Son of God. B. A Prophet. C. Satan.
What is the meaning of the word: Dhimmi?
In Islam the world is divided into two parts? What are they?

Which major world leader believes in the annihilation of Baghdad to make way for the 12th Imam?

The problem with Hillary’s comments are two-fold. First, she was wrong and rather than admit it, her campaign spins it. Second, she is running for President. Wouldn’t you want to talk in specifics rather than “lossely” in order to impress the voters that you have command of the subject. Some of her comments about foreign policy are just stupid. She doen’t know how the Iranian govenment works and now she appears not to understand Pakistan either. Is this part of her “experience” that she and her husband have been touting this past weekend?

It would be a reasonable assumption that no one else is calling her out on it because they have no clue either. Maybe some of them could pick out Pakistan on a map, but that’s about it.

How will it hurt her anyway? The people of Iowa don’t know either and probably don’t care. The nation’s nutroots have already decided they’re voting for her, no matter how stupid and shifty she is. Remember, she is the only candidate with foreign policy experience coming to her as first lady. Which amounted to tea and crumpets with foreign dignitaries and other first lady friends.

One more point: You’re holding Bush to account for something he said 7 years ago and which was actually closer to the facts than what Hillary said, and you want to hit Reagan for something he might have said 20 years ago, but you won’t hold Hillary to account for what she said on Sunday. I too had to refresh my memory on the timeline of Ms. Bhutto’s past and present. Bryan’s facts are impeccable and correct.

If my hearing and reading was correct, Hitlery was the first to jump on the Ms. Benazir Bhutto’s assassination and turn it political. Hitlery claimed to have known Ms. Bhutto and has a similar view of the country (U.S.) and she (Hitlery) feels entitled to rule.

Hitlery has met Ms. Bhutto, however she has never taken the personal efforts it requires to actually know a person.
