What is your problem, Entelechy? You attack me for making things “personal” when I didn’t do anything of the sort, and when I respond you attack me again. (Although to be frank, I don’t completely understand what you wrote just now because the words were not clear, but the tone is unmistakable).

This is what I said in the comment where I cited you at 12:29 AM. Here’s your chance! Show me what was “personal” about it! I’ll even bold it for you just in case you have a problem with your vision:

You know, Entelechy, I was commenting on the substance of your commentary, there was nothing personal about it.

I think your criticism of Bush in this regard is way off-base. I have made similar remarks before about other attempts to link Bush to Huckabee in this regard, so don’t flatter yourself in thinking that I was singling you out for special attention for “personal” reasons. If someone else had made a similar comment I would have responded to them.

The fact that he cited Christ the philosopher as the greatest influence in his life was a sincere and intellectually sound response; there was absolutely nothing inappropriate about it.

Christ the Philosopher profoundly and indisputably influenced this nation’s founding principles – guiding even those men who did not believe in Christ’s divinity or eschewed religious orthodoxy, like Jefferson.

To suggest that one of the pillars of Western Civilization should be relegated to a closet and not publicly discussed is patently absurd.

Many, if not most, of us are Christian.

Many, if not most, of us are Christian.

That symbol can be religious,but for the life of me I can’t remember what company uses it.

There’s a car dealership here run by a guy named Bass (like the fish), and they stick a fish with the letters BASS on the back of all their cars, right where you’d usually stick your Jesus fish.

It’s weird, actually. You expect Jesus and you get Bass.

That isn’t a ‘real site’. It is something set up by a DNC and/or a Hillary minion (they all share the same range of IP addresses.) Spoof sites like that have been set up as a dirty trick against ALL of the Republican candidates: whatevernameforum.com; Some of the sites allow registration and real comments from people that don’t know better. But most of the comments are posted by anti-republican activists who are trying to make the Reps look bad.

Don’t be fooled. ANY site with the RepublicanCandidateForum.com .net or .org is a democrat dirty trick.

All the domain names are registered through a ‘privacy’ registrar which has been found guilty on many charges of trademark and copyright infringement, spamming, and outright fraud.

There are so many other indisputable avenues of complaint that are far more noteworthy.

I really don’t think there is a conspiracy of secular humanists against Christ here! If, for instance, people don’t mention Obama’s afro-centrist church, it’s could be because they don’t know about it, or aren’t commenting on Obama threads, or because it’s the primary season and most of the focus has been on the Republican candidates.

Huckabee is faulted because of his sanctimonious, holier than thou, don’t you dare attack me, pandering – not because he is overtly religious.

The point I was attempting to communicate, and obviously failed to do, was voice a complaint about the near hysterical reaction to any expression of Christian faith.

In this example, Mr. Pundit seems to be saying that we rubes are so dumb, that we never notice the subliminal symbols Huckabee has embedded in his commercials. Just like we rubes believe that Hillary is a patriot because she has ~15 US flags behind her.

Personally, I happen to believe that we are so bombarded with advertising that we have become immune to it.

However, as a test, as you (all) are watching broadcast TV, take note of the number of prime time advertisements that are for food, and how many times after seeing an ad for Pizza have you gone to the ‘fridge for a snack?

Need another hint? Watch Emeril on Food TV, and make note of how many times he mentions washing your hands after handling chicken, because, otherwise the ‘food police’ lodge yet another complaint about safe handling of food.

Finally don’t make the mistake that Christian conservatives are going to vote for Huckabee, just because he loudly, and repeatedly, voices his Christian belief.

I’ve said it on other threads, Huckabee is a product of the news media, and he won’t get the Republican nomination.

Next he’ll be selling prayor cards for donations.

Hey, if you vote for me you will walk again.

God is gonna take me if we don’t raise 2 million dollars by friday.
