Video: “David Blaine’s Street Magic 3″

posted at 10:33 am on December 31, 2007 by Allahpundit

How good were the first two? Good enough to earn this mediocrity 1.2 million views in three days from simple anticipation. Watch all three if this is your first exposure to it, if only so that you’ll recognize the references when Carlos Mencia inevitably rips it off.

Blowback

I love you, man.

I haven’t even watched it yet. But the first two were some of the funniest stuff I’ve ever seen.

So before I click play … I love you, man.

Holy crap Allah god bless you, I didnt know this one came out. The first two are hillarious, I actually think the 2 guys are funny as sh*t.

Darn my office for blocking video streaming!!! It’s like I’m living in the Middle Ages here.

(I’ll watch it when I get home – laughed so hard I cried with the other two.)

These are awesome. I’m glad they didn’t quit after the first one.

In the spirit of Godzilla vs. Mothra, I’m waiting for David Blaine vs. Jackie Broyles and Dunlap.

I was in dinosaur times!

Oh. Geez. My sides hurt.

Professor Blather on December 31, 2007 at 11:04 AM

This “David Blaine” maintains a masterful deadpan, yet the guy in the Verizon commercials is probably pulling down millions for not even having to say “can you hear me now?” anymore.

There is no justice.

Just orange soda…

“Evan! He enlarged the car while I was holding it! I could have died! But my hat is back…!” Well done.

Not quite up to the first two…

-should have had a little Triceratops in his pocket…

Was that his Grigori Rasputin look into the camera?

Zorro on December 31, 2007 at 1:07 PM

That’s the stupidest thing I have ever seen.

Jaibones on December 31, 2007 at 1:21 PM

I love these.

Also, thanks for the reminder that Mencia rips off other comedians.

Y’now, I went back and refamiliarized myself with Ace’s post because the first time it was linked here I only had time to scan it at work. Now, his Blaine/Criss Angel ripoff is not only blatantly obvious but sad in its mishandling of the concept. The brilliance of the Blaine bits is that is is accomplished in one continuous take that would have drawn nods of appreciation from Hitchcock or Altman. Mencia bollockses them up with crappy SFX and edits throughout. P*ss poor.

(Sorry if I’m late to the party on this critique, but it is beyond me how a comedian like Mencia gets this far.)

Dinothor times.

Har!
