The last time I checked, there was no state death penalty in Massachusetts. No death penalty=no executions. Short of changing the law, Romney has no control over that, last I checked.

Exactly right, and when he instituted his insurance plan, he also had no control over abortions being covered, but Huck and other Romney opponents would have us believe that this was something Romney specifically asked for.

FACT: Under State Law And Court Precedent, If The State Is Funding Health Care Benefits It Cannot Refuse To Provide Abortion Coverage:

IE: Every time I look at Fred I see Kane from “poltergeist”. I’m just not comfortable vetting him on his looks. That is why I have made a study of Fred’s history and I make my assessments of him on that history.

Hehe. Of course. Your “open and completely objective mind” finally figured out through pure scientific analysis that Fred Thompson is – despite your first impression of him – actually an evil monster!

Don’t worry, dude, nobody here believes you have some sort of crazy vendetta against Fred Thompson. So quit being so darned defensive about it all the time.

But I see Romney’s over-tanned, plastic face and the channel changes before I even realize I touched the remote.

I’ve heard this from some folks before. I look at his life for some real substantive issues to vet him on.

It appears that every thing he is involved in he succeeds. He is a very accomplished father, husband, businessman, governor, and chair of the failing Olympics. Not withstanding his appearance, no one who is fake or disingenuous could ever be successful as Mitt has been. For that reason I believe Mitt is the real deal. I don’t see the plastic looks others do, but even if I did, it would never be an issue.

Four minutes is about my limit for Huckabee. He’s got those buggy eyes, like Gomez from the Addams Family TV show.

But for some reason Mitt Romney creeps me out more than any other candidate – on either side. I can’t watch him for four seconds. Even with somebody like Ron Paul or Hillary Clinton, I might watch for a minute or two every other week to see what new craziness they’re spouting. But I see Romney’s over-tanned, plastic face and the channel changes before I even realize I touched the remote.

But, he said, “if you gain the whole world and lose your soul, what does it profit you?”

Nice.

Tell me, those of you less ahem versed in scripture, do you catch this guy’s scriptural references? I ask this honestly, becasue he does it constantly and I’m curious to know if he actually gets away with these secret handshakes or if everyone sees right through him.

He looks more and more like a mirror image of Hillary: same disingenuous manner, talks out of both sides of his mouth, says whatever he thinks you want to hear….

All in all, if the choice is Hillary or Huck, we’d best leave the office vacant and rely on the Minutemen to defend the country for four years.

I simply challenge my blogger colleagues to focus less on attacks and more on positive build-up of their preferred candidate. Chances are, I’ll probably agree with and support that candidate if they win….

Mark Halperin has a copy of Huckabee’s pulled ad. Watch it closely. Just before jabbing Romney on gun control, the announcer says and the screen flashes the words “No executions.”

If it was an error, could that have contributed to Huckabee’s epiphany about negative politics? Hmm…
