He has always spoken clearly. Especially as an actor. But that doesn’t make him fit for office. Shouldn’t we dig deeply into his record, considering all data, and then make an assessment? Tommylotto provided a list of some of Fred’s negative history. I haven’t seen a lot of consideration for that behavior from many of Fred’s supporters.

Look, just because we talk about Fred’s failures doesn’t mean we only do it to tweak the Fredheads. We seriously do want those issues considered in the discussion. The reason why I think those issues are relevant is because Fred has ALWAYS said the right things. He has always sounded like a conservative. But all the while he was sounding like a conservative, he was engaged in decidedly un-conservative type behavior. With that kind of history behind him, it’s impossible for a lot of us to listen to him and believe he has changed his spots. Then he makes statements saying that his lobbying/lawyering efforts were A-OK and simply part of his “personal life”, admitting that he has no reason to apologize for it.

Hillary and Edwards behavior OVER the years suggest a thirst for raw power. Mitt’s history is that of a guy who likes success. He has never abused any position of power nor has he suggested so. So if you’re going to suggest he is power hungry, you’re gonna need to come up with something more substantive than his flip-flops and he uses his own money. No amount of money will ever be able to replace the satisfaction of leading your country to a better future. To a guy worth 1/4 billion dollars, 17 million is nothing to invest in the opportunity to do great things for your country.

Last week you guys asked why Mitt acted the way he does….the commitment to work towards perfection is a big motivation in his life. This is also the source of the appearance that he is fake. No fake could EVER succeed in what Mitt has been successful at. He has been an outstanding husband, father, businessman, governor, and member of the US Olympic committee. His history is rock solid with success and there is every expectation that he will be a successful president. There isn’t one single candidate that can hold a candle to the success Mitt has achieved.

There is no dark side. There is only a commitment to be the best one can be. That isn’t a bad thing. It’s an admirable trait that all the candidates should have but most are sorely lacking.

Boy,it’s about time a Republican,Fred that is,is setting
the record a bit straight,Journalist malpractice,hell yes.
Think about this for a moment,If these achor/anchorette’s
pulled this on the great President Ronald Raygun Reagan,

If were going to win,at every step,if it’s rumour,hearsay

FINALLY! Here is a list of some accomplishments of Fred Thompson while on the Senate Government Affairs Committee. Fred Thompson has also laid out specific policy initiatives in detail on his site. I think the proof is the taste of the pudding here and FT deserves a serious consideration at the very least.
