I don’t find any humor in these ads, I think it directly reflects the lefts attitude towards these monsters, they think the terrorists are bumbling idiots, not taking them seriously.

The left thinks the terrorists are misunderstood young people, who were previously underpriviliged children from homes with overly strict parents, but who now have an insightful perception of US and Israeli hegemony.

It’s the right that thinks the terrorists are a bunch of idiots who have been given extremely deadly weapons with little training but a lot of islamofascist indoctrination.

I don’t find any humor in these ads…

The reason these are funny is that they are attacking the Islamofacists and not Islam. There are many Muslims in the world who do not support the fascists. If they show a Muhammad roman candle, that alienates the “regular” Muslims, just as a Jesus firecracker would offend Christians. But by making fun of the terrorists, it brings in the mainstream Muslims to laugh at the extremeists also. It’s a long stretch, but this sort of thing may help the moderate Muslims to speak up against the fascists.

I think your view is not without merit (i.e., the left’s perception that terrorists are bumbling idiots, as you put it), but therein lies the reason these ads do have humor. They may not always be bumbling (e.g., the shoe bomber), but as far as being idiots goes, they are clearly thirty fries over the standard Happy Meal quota.

They should have made a Muhammad roman candle or pack of firecrackers and watched the terrorists lite them off…

Instead I guess they like their heads attached…
