Were you not incapable of rational thought vis-a-vis Romney, you’d know Larraby was talking about using gubernatorial influence to convert people to Mormonism.

That you would reference Romney’s religious mission in France simply proves there is no depths to which you will not sink.

Do you ever get tired of being this intellectually dishonest or do you just sort of grow into it?

no evidence anywhere that Mitt Romney ever tried to convert people to become Mormons.From everything known about Romney, he has always had the philosophy that people could believe anything they want to.

So that time he spent in France as a missionary for the Mormon Church was a vacation after all? He did go there to get out of the Vietnam war?
Or did he go there as a missionary, to convert people to the Mormon Church?
Looks like that very known fact slipped your mind there for a moment…there I readjusted your thinking cap, now you can think a little more clearly.
Oh yeah, that little fact of letting Bechtel off from any serious fine for creating one of the biggest boondoggles in the states history (Boston’s big dig), and Bechtel being a long time supporter of Mitt was just a coincidence… we are talking 100′s of millions of dollars, not thousands.
No penny ante stuff for Mitt, he goes for the big bucks, you talk about thousands, he talks about millions in payoffs.

Huckabee has incredible chutzpah to complain about Romney “buying” Iowa. Huckabee allowed himself to be bought by every lobbyist in Arkansas. He accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars in “gifts” from well connected people in Arkansas who thought it would be a good idea to know the governor pretty well. He accepted over $60,000.00 in speaking fees from RJ Reynolds (and then said he didn’t know where the money came from. He just took it without asking). Huckabee was so unashamed of being bought he even put up a web site registry telling people what to buy him and where to get it (and if it happened to be Dillards, all the better).
And with all the barely under the surface antiMormon whispering from the Huckabee camp, there is no evidence anywhere that Mitt Romney ever tried to convert people to become Mormons. From everything known about Romney, he has always had the philosophy that people could believe anything they want to.

How did that work out for him?

You can’t BUY people’s votes, they either will or won’t vote for you based on substance, message, etc. I suppose the exception would be Democrats, since their entire message is about what government is going to hand out to people. Especially Hillary’s 5K for pushing out a baby.

Keep in mind that the MSM is selectively pulling these quotes. The person who said this is sort of a religious, conservative version of a DKos contributer. Both sides have them, just their side has more (and the MSM will not quote them.)

Amazing to think that Johnny Mac is just short of being the favorite again. If Giuliani collapses (or continues to collapse), JM will get a lot of his support. Rudy already pre-endorsed him. He’d be able to rally most of the party as the electable anyone-but-Mitt-or-Huck candidate. There will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth among the McCain-haters here and elsewhere, but their decibelage has always been higher than their numbers.

The only thing that could upset that scenario would be a strong finish for Fred in IA (another reason for JMac’s return there ahead of the caucuses) or a premature implosion by Huck. But… but… and then… or…

It’s fascinating and a bit exhausting. One thing: I don’t see Mitt or Huck rallying from early failures (for Huck in IA, for Mitt in IA and NH) – if they can’t win now, when and where could anyone expect them to win?
