Folks like Jefferson, Hamilton and Madison were early Americans who risked hanging for their political actions. Perhaps because of that, their first amendment to the Constitution was intended to protect politcal speech against the government.

Hamilton was killed in a dual in 1804. The legality of the dual was questionable and Burr was indicted for murder, though aquitted. The country wasn’t made better by the death of Hamilton.

Currently, we spend almost $3 trillion on government. We should have more candidates challenge government growth. If the Republicans were put on earth to cut taxes and spending, they have a lot of catching up to do after the last 7 years.

All of that and more was packed into an interview that demonstrated once and for all that however well-meaning Paul is on the small government front (an area where he could and does make some sense), he’s simply too ignorant on foreign policy and too quick to blame America for just about every bad thing in the world to be trusted with the power of the presidency. No good can come of it.

This sounds like you are making are serious argument why the Ronulan Praetor shouldn’t be president. Didn’t every person to whom serious argument is persuasive figure this out either before 1988 or upon becoming a college sophomore?

Iran has used Hezbullah and Hamas to attack Israel already.

However, in one sense, he does have a point…about Iran’s military capacity. It may well have a considerable body of men serving under the banner of ‘army’, ‘navy’ etc…but this is a far cry from actually _having_ an _army_. Nuance, sure…but recall that Iran ground itself into the dirt fighting its neighbor for ten years or so…just how do you think it can sustain the logistics of grander military adventures. The slavessoldiers it can sacrificefield have no stomach for war.

Simply put..they suck at it. Israel would wipe their sh!tty arses with them and laugh while doing so.

The only danger we need to concern ourselves with, and indeed the one _massive_ danger that RP is blind to the point of derangement about, is that of nuclear capacity.

We need to smack that bitch down hard…and fast.

He does make some good points that some don’t seem to understand. Research police use of military tactics to serve nonviolent warrants and the deaths those have caused in the U.S…sometimes at the wrong house.
