There was some audio glitch, and all the commentary crapped out for the entire 2nd half of the game. It was beautiful. Finally got to watch a game in peace (except for all the commercials).

Anyone remember the game without announcers? Ironically broadcast by NBC. I remember the Jets were at the Dolphins, forget the year.

Speaking of glorious football programming, did anybody catch the game on Fox yesterday afternoon, 49ers vs. Bucs I believe it was? The NBC pregame and post game show is painful to watch. Bob Costas is so dull and he is like a high school kid who could not make the varsity and decides to worship the jocks instead. He is filled with little inside jokes, little puns and all kinds of silly stuff. Olbermann is simply taking his hate filled angry left wing snotty shtick to a football studio. Chris Collinsworth seems obsessed with retelling minor accomplishments he had with the Bengals 25 years ago. Believe me, Chris is not to be confused with Jerry Rice, John Taylor, TO or Randy Moss. The NBC show is like watching root canal surgery. It is that painful.

Don’t forget, NBC already offset their energy savings by sending correspondents & film crews to the north pole, south pole, and equator, then illuminating the crap out of them with lights, all the while showing how environmentally conscious they are.

After their week long pandering to the greenies about what we can do to save the planet – and after them telling me that my family and I should light one less candle this year for Chanukah (which I did not), they celebrate Christmas like this.

BTW – Quick note…We light the Chanukah candles to remember the miracle of the temple rededication. The giant menorah that was in the temple burned on oil. In order to rededicate the temple after it was desecrated (which was done just prior by Antiochus Epiphanes) takes 8 days…on each day you light an additional candle. At this time there was only enough oil in the city for one day…but they were able to light all of the lamps for 8 days. G-d is credited with this miracle which we represent each year. So the final question is… Will the environmentalists come out against G-d for being a abusive polluter?

Nothing like self-absorbed, “insider” humor from a bunch of high-paid critics for our viewing pleasure. Football pre-game and half-time shows are painful to endure. If they ran a test pattern, it wouldn’t matter. I go do something else anyway.
