The problem with Dread Zep (and probably these other bands) is that the joke only works for one song. Aside from “Heartbreaker,” does Dread have anything worthwhile in its catalog? Not from what I can tell. calbear on December 20, 2007 at 1:56 PM

I used to have Un-Led-Ed on cassette (man, I'm old). Anyway, there are a lot of good tunes on that one. It is hilarious to play at a party. Check out the samples and see what you think.

Robert Plant himself said he preferred Dread Zeppelin’s version of “Your Time Is Gonna Come” over his own Led Zeppelin version. I thought their “Immigrant Song” was great. ScottMcC on December 20, 2007 at 2:11 PM

Yeah, their version of “Your Time Is Gonna Come” is hilarious. Robert Plant himself said he preferred Dread Zeppelin’s version of “Your Time Is Gonna Come” over his own Led Zeppelin version. I thought their “Immigrant Song” was great.

The harmony on "the road you're on" is an homage to the Beatles' version of Twist And Shout. Same with the "not to roll" at the end.

I've heard a recording of the Gilligan's Island theme mixed with Stairway To Heaven. I think it was by the Good Humor Band, and that they got sued by the the owners of both songs.
