Video: Mary Katharine Ham talks naked celebrities, “Jackass” on O’Reilly

At last we find Bill re-defining the segment. Formerly it was an opportunity to bring to public attention crimes and scandals on the ‘Net, now it’s an occasion to have MK defend the ‘Net notwithstanding those crimes and scandals, ensuring that any viewers who don’t know the web well enough to know its compensatory virtues will regard the Hammer as having an unusually voracious appetite for lurid sleaze. Almost all Factor features eventually evolve into confrontation; this is no exception, although admittedly it’s mild by the usual standards and MK does get to do a little more reporting here than usual.

Still, I can’t help noticing that after months of spelling her middle name correctly they got it wrong last night. A little tweak befitting her new role as villainess? Nah, just sloppy. Exit question: Did Bill really say “So God killed him” about the paparazzi peddler or did I mishear?

Yeah, he really said that. Wow. I suppose Bill’s God is a vengeful God, eh?

i heard him say that and couldnt believe it. :(
i have a hard time watching the o-factor lately, bill seems to be off in a thousand directions anymore.

I think the segment is a little silly but MKH is certainly easy on the eyes!

Larraby on December 20, 2007 at 9:33 AM

Given all the lame TV hosts out there, I am shocked that one of the major news organizations has not put the Hammer on the other side of the desk, so to speak.

Good work by MKH. Bill is really vigilant against Internet sleaze except where it can bring his show ratings or let him have an attractive young woman talk to him about nude photos.

O’Reilly, Geraldo, and Greta – I change the channel whenever one of those three are on.

I still sometimes watch H&C, only to watch Colmes’ right eyebrow bounce up and down. Anyone notice he looks like the head grasshopper in ‘A Bug’s Life’?

Sometimes an old B&W movie on TCM is the better option…

After every Wednesday’s broadcast I can’t help wishing that Fox would transition to the O’Miller Factor.

Last night Dennis chose his Top Five People of the Year and included a cop who was caught on video pounding the crap out of a guy who had stolen a car and driven in at high speed through residential neighborhoods. O’Reilly said ‘your joking’ and Miller held his ground. Miller said it might keep other nutjobs from doing the same thing.

You gotta love Dennis.

They should give Miller his own show – but I don’t know if he could keep up the quality for 1/2 hour a day, 5 nights a week.

Did Bill really say “So God killed him”

I couldn’t believe my ears, completely tasteless. I hope the guy’s family didn’t have to hear that, no matter how much of a slimeball he may have been

Keli on December 20, 2007 at 9:57 AM

From the inflection in Bill O’s voice, I think he was joking about God killing that guy. He left a pause there for MKH to laugh or interject about it, but she never did, so it went over like a lead balloon. I’ve heard (and said) enough bad jokes in my time to recognize the “bad joke with awkward silence”.

Probably because it was bad taste.

Is Mary Katherine getting more beautiful or I am I getting more enamored?

If I don’t at least suggest some off-color gag about easily keeping it up 1/2 hour a day, 5 nights a week with the right co-host, how will you appreciate my good taste in choosing not to post it?

MKH could do so much more for Fox that the Bill O segment. It’s a complete waste of talent.

Over the years I’ve gone from watching Bill O and H&C 4-5 days a week to maybe twice a week. Both show are just machines going through the same motions. It’s completely predictable.

The changes Bill O has made to the show are just wacky. The confrontational nature of this segment with MKH being example #1. That stupid “Pop Culture Quiz” segment should really be labeled as a 20th century pop history quiz. There is nothing “Pop Culture” about JFK or some bad Elvis movie.

Allah, a paternal quibble: Katharine is not a middle name. It’s part of her first name. At least that’s how we Hams think of it.

rivlax on December 20, 2007 at 1:29 PM

Katharine is not a middle name. It’s part of her first name.

Does she have a middle name too?

My late mother was that way. She always considered her “first name” to have two words in it, and didn’t have a “middle name”. You could always tell if someone didn’t know her, because they’d ask for her by the first half of her name.

Why does MKH always make me feel warm and fuzzy.

Bill needs a long vacation…

(eye roll) you know how many of these people leak these pictures/movies themselves? It’s not like she’s never been nakie on film before.

As for Billie Boy I’ve stop listening to what he says long ago.

P.S. I love the ending. . . Does she know that her job is on the net?!

MirCat on December 20, 2007 at 4:16 PM

Not she HE does HE know her job is on the net.

MirCat on December 20, 2007 at 4:17 PM

Dennis Miller and Hamnation. That could be very interesting.

Yeah, Earnest, MKH is definitely easy on the eyes.

docdave on December 20, 2007 at 4:18 PM
