Of course not. It took the Smartest Woman in the World to put two and two together and figure out that, hey, when you work for Uncle Sam, maybe it’s Uncle Sam’s responsibility to hook you up. Consider it one of her little Christmas presents to you and me. Or, if you prefer, one of those million good ideas she has stored up that we can’t afford. Or can we?

Don’t underestimate this ad’s effectiveness. There are way more people who won’t know it’s a lie than there are people who will, and righteous indignation plays very well. Even when it’s not so righteous.

I don’t know how much Hillary had to do with it, and I hate to burst anyone’s bubble, but up until a few years ago the only time National Guardsmen had medical coverage by the government was while on federal active duty orders. When released from active duty you had health insurance for a period of 180 days (I think)after that.
Only within the last couple of years could a guardsman purchase that same type of coverage for use while in civilian status.
Again, I don’t know how much she had to do with making that available. While it is possible (in this case) that Hillary isn’t lying, she may just not be telling the whole truth.
