Cuomo is that "I'm better than you" kind of smarmy condescender that makes me want to backhand an effigy of Mike Farrell.

This video reminded me that the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree. Baby Cuomo is a chip off the old block. I got the sense of deja vu watching him and hearing him speak. Ugh.

That is also the same tack the feminists take. Maybe blacks aren’t applying for high-end big business positions in huge numbers. Maybe blacks, seeing the crap that passes for “acting black” in their culture are more drawn to the humanities and social services which pay less then big business. That’s the problem with feminists and the poverty pimps, all they look at is the Almighty Dollar. Money leads to happiness they say. The recent news is that black home ownership and black business ownership is up and more blacks are moving out of the ghetto into suburban areas. While they aren’t making CEO salaries they are clearly advancing. Home ownership and job satisfaction are much more reliable indices of equality and prosperity then how many figures a person makes.

Well one thing we can agree on is the detrimental effect the negative parts of hip-hop have had on blacks. However if this is such an effect on the present inequality, how do you explain the still rampant inequality which preceded gangster rap. Ice Cube and the NWA pioneered the c-rap of today in the mid 90's shouldn't things have been infinitely better then if gangster rap were the cause?

Wasn't it the Mario Cuomo campaign for Mayor of New York City many years ago against Koch, they came up with the smear job "Vote for Cuomo not the Homo"

Years later Clinton referred to Cuomo as something to do with the Mafia.

Prejudiced Democrats, they suppose to be against insulting groups.

BKennedy, good job on holding the fort against the HA trolls. They're all out from hiding. The leftie tour de force resurfaced. Don't worry, though. They usually don't last long.

I think you misunderstood the point. Black people may make the same income as whites with similar positions (I don’t know, I’ve never seen a study on it), but they aren’t able to get to those positions in the first place. There may not be racism once blacks manage to “make it”, but there is racism which prevents many from “making it”, this accounts for the grossly disproportionate representation of blacks in high-income positions. People who point to inequality statistics aren’t saying “hey, look blacks make less than whites with the same position”, they’re saying blacks aren’t getting to the positions whites have. The cultural argument is the same tired one used right after Jim Crow laws were abolished.

That is also the same tack the feminists take. Maybe blacks aren't applying for high-end big business positions in huge numbers. Maybe blacks, seeing the crap that passes for "acting black" in their culture are more drawn to the humanities and social services which pay less then big business.
People recognized that blacks lived in ghettos, but they asserted it was “by their own choice”. Why would be people choose to be poor? It’s sad many in America still haven’t moved past blaming the victim. Cultural considerations may be applicable for small inequalities, but ones as vast as the ones I mentioned? That’s reaching quite a bit.

True or False: Black culture as promoted by the rap music industry glorifies being a "gangster," selling drugs, and treating women in general, but espically black women, like disposable chattle. What's your defense, that slim shady was white? Fact is black culture (which, if you read Dr. Sowell's work is really just white redneck culture) is selling blacks short. Kanye West and his bitch-nigga-ho music has probably caused more damage to the black community than all the white CEOs in America combined.

As Michael Savage calls them, they are the enemy within. Some black people are only in it for themselves and they don't care how many "niggas" get piled up on the roadside as long as they've got their bling to show and their street cred in order.

Your first argument reeks of the same one feminists use to combat supposed “income inequality.” The only true comparison one can make for income equality is the same position at the same kind of job.

For instance, my income is probably a small fraction of Kanye West’s. However, that’s comparing a Catholic reporter to a famously egotistical rapper.

What you’d have to do is compare white engineers to black engineers and vice versa. If more blacks are in social work and more whites are in multi-million dollar corporations, chances are the mean incomes between the races will be skewed heavily towards whites.

That isn’t racism, that’s cooking statistics, and it’s a hallmark of the feminist movement and the poverty pimps.

Black culture and specifically the cardinal sin of “acting white” by being hard working, academically vigorous, and successful isn’t helping any blacks get out of the hole. Nevermind the out-of-wedlock births thanks to the entitlement mentality propagated by The Justice Brothers and liberal democrats everywhere.

Nevermind the out-of-wedlock births thanks to the entitlement mentality propagated by The Justice Brothers and liberal democrats everywhere.

Your first argument reeks of the same one feminists use to combat supposed "income inequality." The only true comparison one can make for income equality is the same position at the same kind of job.

For instance, my income is probably a small fraction of Kanye West's. However, that's comparing a Catholic reporter to a famously egotistical rapper.

What you'd have to do is compare white engineers to black engineers and vice versa. If more blacks are in social work and more whites are in multi-million dollar corporations, chances are the mean incomes between the races will be skewed heavily towards whites.

That isn't racism, that's cooking statistics, and it's a hallmark of the feminist movement and the poverty pimps.

WOW! What a coincidence! What are the odds?

I was saying just yesterday, that if Obama ever shows up on GMA with that Chrissy "The Paperboy" Cuomo (who, of course, must be a mobster because he's I - talian), then I won't be able to vote for him because of my inherent racism!

I mean, I just loved Obama and all his policies after his Today Show and Harry Smith cameos, etc., but I knew I wouldn't be able to vote if he ever went on GMA cus', eww, he's Black!

Sorry Barack.

Oh, and thanks for the wake-up call Chris.

Another Liberal that hates his country. This time for being inherently racist. I guess the fact that no other country in the history of the planet has sacrificed more to combat racism, including the number of lives. Blacks live at a better standard in the USA than any other nation. I guess the fact that Liberals take out Black Americans such as Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice as “Uncle Toms” and traitors makes their exceptional achievements out of the mix, but there are plenty of other examples that squash that racist comment. Of course, this hack is of the party that wishes to keep a certain group of Americans in their pocket, and needs to keep announcing that racism is alive and well.

sure, blacks in America have 16% the mean wealth of whites and make little over half the income, but gosh darn it they should be happy they live at such a good standard! People like Oprah, Rice and Powell are great role models, but unfortunately they also often seem to reinforce incorrect perceptions on inequality. Depending on how the question is asked between 40-60% of americans think blacks are doing as well or better than whites in terms of housing, education, jobs and income. Nothing could be further from the truth. I wouldn't go so far as to say America is inherently racist, but our constitution was for nearly 200 years and there certainly must be something fueling such disturbing inequality. It sure as hell ain't hip-hop music and blacks just "being lazy".

The way I see it, the MSM's narrative is a plus for the Republicans in the general election. If Obama loses, then Republicans can claim that the Democrats are racist. If Hillary loses, then the Democrats are sexist. Who wants to vote for a party that is inherently sexist or racist? And if Silky Pony wins the nominations, then its even a better deal.

Since only Democrats are involved in voting for or against Obama at this point, Cuomo must be talking about all those racists voting against St. Barack. Or am I missing something?

Good for Obama not to swing at that ugly softball. Just after Cuomo fumbled out his question (say what you like about Mario, the man could speak), there was a pause of about 2 sec during which you could almost see the "WTF?" thought balloon over Obama's head.

Also, it was interesting that the list of reasons Obama gave for people to vote for him consisted of health care, jobs and "improving our standing in the world and making us safe." No mention (explicitly, anyway) of Iraq or ending the war. Darn that surge!
