Ok, maybe that is a stretch, but Alan Keyes made Barack’s ‘present’ votes a big part of his campaign to win 29% of the Illinois vote for US Senate.

Come to think of it, 29% is right around Hillary’s Iowa numbers at the present.

This morning I read a (granted, consider the source) MSNBC piece on Obama’s “Present” votes; in it, an Illinois political observer stated that voting “Present” was a common tactic in that state’s legislature used to protest bad bills. Not that I’m defending Obama, though. It still looks like a cowards way out of a sticky political situation, and one that I don’t think would play well in executive leadership, whether domestic or foreign.
