The British press is shocked, shocked, to find fundie nuts hawking DVDs in Yorkshire showing a little Palestinian girl pining to emulate mama by taking out some Israeli soldiers. I myself am shocked, shocked, that it took the video that long to get to England: Old-school HA readers will remember it from when we blogged it back in March. Or when LGF blogged it in March, or various other conservative sites blogged it in March. Or maybe you saw the Palestinian Media Watch clip on YouTube, where it’s creeping up on 200,000 hits. My point being that this isn’t some obscure mujahid snuff film circulating in the bazaars of Karachi; the jihadi watch sites like PMW and MEMRI picked it up and made it readily available to western media ages ago, if only they’d bother to check occasionally. Except, of course, they don’t. The September 10th mindset at work: It’s not a problem over there until it’s a problem over here, which is why MSNBC, for instance, is only getting around to it today.
The moral of the story for Islamist pornographers? Keep away from attention-getting media hooks, like putting Disney characters in your filthy Nazi propaganda, and you’ll fly under the western radar forever.
Update: Evidently Drudge is also just getting the memo. Super.

I knew about the kiddie Disney character show in Palestine in 1999. Maybe I should be a media type. . . but then again, it’s somehow strangely more fulfilling to be able to say ‘I told you so’.

This late reporting isn’t just restricted to British news, either. The NYT just did a full article, having discovered Mahmoud of Iran has a blog. Everyone else learned about it last summer.

it doesn’t matter when they get around to noticing it. their protol once they have to cover it is to neuter it and present negative reactions to it as bigotry.
expect language like “…cry against violence and occupation…” and “…a generation of children who have grown up amidst poverty and occupation…”

The point here is not its existence (Islamist filth have been using kids for years) – but that the DVD is being sold in a mosque.
Now lets see whether the British authorities actually have the guts needed for this fight and close down the mosque.
