It could use some tweaking on its turning ability. But admit it, if you saw one of these in the Sharper Image catalog and had the cash to throw away, you’d snag one of these things. I would, and then I’d probably mount a weapon of unusual lethality or two on it just for fun.

No video for me at work, but…. Anything like the spider-bots in “Runaway”?

Never mind; looked at the home-page picture again. Much, much bigger. Cool.

Don’t the Sith already hold the patent on that?
RedWinged Blackbird on December 17, 2007 at 4:13 PM
I watched this a while back, it is damned impressive, and ya, I’d buy one in a heartbeat.

That would be Sweat on the sands of Iraq…
“Mohammed…What is that sound???”
Up from the sands comes….
EXCELLENT!!!

I’m wondering how steep a grade can this thing navigate? Those skid pads seem, slick. If I bought it I would upgrade the feet with some hard rubber “shoes”.
.
And a cup holder.

Some mechanical knowhow, a well equipped shop, good neighbors and a few cases of beer….you gotts to love American ingenuity.

Oh…..what I wouldn’t give for just a few minutes in that thing…..the look on my ex-wife’s face as I run it up the driveway.

Can we name it Boris, in honor of the song by The Who and John Entwistle?

This was the only cool thing about the Will Smith debacle “Wild, Wild West”
KelliD on December 17, 2007 at 4:32 PM
Reminds me of Kevin Smith talking about a spider for the dead Superman Reborn movie.

Bryan, those types of “machines” are actually the future of NASA rovers…

When it hits 8 miles an hour, it goes back in time to 1979.
…so you want to make sure your hair, mustache and clothes will blend in.

Kini on December 17, 2007 at 5:01 PM
Does it come with optional heavy shocks absorbers and a pair of ear plugs….CLANK…CLANK…CLANK!!!
Planet Boulder on December 17, 2007 at 5:23 PM
Really cool until it eats you.
Speakup on December 17, 2007 at 5:45 PM
I only want one if it shoots webbing. Otherwise, it’s pretty useless.
robblefarian on December 17, 2007 at 5:57 PM
Fix it up with some really cool shock absorbers and you could bounce it up and down like it was a ‘67 Chevy! Wheels? We done need no stinking wheels!
gajaw999 on December 17, 2007 at 5:57 PM
actually the zero turning radius is very nice… of course this could be sped up and the shocks could use some work… but all in all… very sweet! I’m sure some movie company will buy it.
Kaptain Amerika on December 17, 2007 at 6:00 PM
Marty, where we are going, we don’t need roads….
Could this be the ride of the future? How are they going to get the cupholders to work right?
