Would we all stick around if our learless feeder didn’t have contradictory, confounding, and occasionally quirky qualities? “Annoying” is just a molecule in the cornucopia.
Sorry, AP. The top two ain’t goin’ anywhere anytime soon. Sort of like the Red Sox and Yankees. You might be a pleasant Tigers or Indians or Angels, but you know in the end you’re a post-season sweep away from “Wait ’til Next Year”.
Why is “Sadly, No!” called a “blogger,” whereas AP was singled out by (pseudonymic) name? Odd. Anyway, Hot Air should’ve appeared on “funniest blog,” too.
i think AP chalks all of those up in the win column for him, he keeps us on his toes to the point where we question everything and always gives us food for thought but delivers those viral videos that old folks that peruse this site would otherwise miss.
all in all those votes just reaffirmed why hotair is my homepage
Okay, I think I’ve figured it out. Those three judges who voted for Allah for most annoying are among the HotAir readers who always click on the “Dude” headlines, even though they know they shouldn’t, and get horrified, upset and offended every time they do it. But they can’t help it and do it again the next time–and again, and again, and again. Always blaming Allah–and getting intensely annoyed at him–for their inability to resist clicking the “Dude” headlines and having to spend the rest of the night bleaching their eyeballs.
So if you wanna win, AP, you just need to step up the “Dude” headlines! The advice was free. But I expect to be thanked in your acceptance speech next year.
I forgot to add. Andrew Sullivan is an arrogant, ignorant, anti-american, fascist prik. But to be on the same list as Hugh & Debbie is an honor indeed.

How did sullivan make both the most annoying RIGHTY and LEFTY blogger at the same time?
Since when did he go both ways?
sulla on December 17, 2007 at 10:53 PM
1,2,3 are right, though Hugh can occasionally pull himself out of his Romney-fest to do a great interview with Bolton or Thomas, etc.
Spirit of 1776 on December 17, 2007 at 10:54 PM
Does this mean you are not to be trusted as an analyst, but Andrew Sullivan does, or are those below Hewitt on “most abnnoying” trusted analysts.
Perhaps you should go out with Debbie, Allah, you seem to have a lot in common.
BKennedy on December 17, 2007 at 10:57 PM
So HotAir gets “Most Overrated” AND “Best Overall” blog?
WTF?

Are there any comparisons with Rasmussen and Zogby numbers before the vote?

Gatordoug on December 17, 2007 at 11:09 PM
I hope to place in the “Biggest P.O.S. Blog” next year! :-)
amerpundit on December 17, 2007 at 11:09 PM
Oh this needs to go to court for a re-count.
haha.
canopfor on December 17, 2007 at 11:12 PM
That’s because you are not being objective. Just kidding, I agree.
Spirit of 1776 on December 17, 2007 at 11:12 PM
Congrats for all except the third place finish!
infidel on December 17, 2007 at 11:17 PM
And best original content, best horse race and best linker.
Though it makes sense to see Coulter on both of those lists.
Esthier on December 17, 2007 at 11:18 PM
Don’t blame me. I voted for Hewitt.
Jimmie on December 17, 2007 at 11:18 PM
Michelle and Co. land #1 and #3 in “Best Blog” category?
All is almost right with the world…
T J Green on December 17, 2007 at 11:18 PM
Debbie is not annoying!
SouthernGent on December 17, 2007 at 11:20 PM
No way, third place? That’s not right! You’ll always be number one as far as I’m concerned, Allahpundit.

I didn’t vote on the negative awards. I love everyone on the right!
And Hot Air certainly deserves the best blog award.
frankj on December 17, 2007 at 11:24 PM
Great job AP. Lets do just a bit better next year, you have my confidence!!
allrsn on December 17, 2007 at 11:25 PM
If they had a “Most Thoroughly Depressing Right-of-Center Blogger,” AP would have the corner on it.
Good Lt on December 17, 2007 at 11:33 PM
Now, you’ve got a goal, AP. I know you can do it!!! ‘Cause you sure annoy me sometimes. :)

Your #1 in my book Allah. heh
sonnyspats1 on December 17, 2007 at 11:45 PM
I think Hugh should get it solely for “not to be trusted as an analyst.” And sorry AP — you don’t deserve to be in such company.
Mark Jaquith on December 17, 2007 at 11:46 PM
juliette is right, you lost to a hysterical woman. that just ain’t right.
maybe when more than 30 people respond to hawkin’s poll, you’ll have a lock.
JazzBass on December 17, 2007 at 11:53 PM
Are you calling Andrew Sullivan a hysterical woman?

MrC_5150 on December 18, 2007 at 12:10 AM
Hmmm. Given that HA is best overall, and AP generates..what…8 out of 10 posts here–doesn’t add up.
Are three of the judges Ronulans? That would explain it.

Well, maybe he didn’t. But he will. Eventually.

‘Best’ and ‘annoying’ aren’t mutually exclusive terms.

Congrats on taking best blog. You guys earned it.

Where’s the “Best Commenters” category?
TexasDan on December 18, 2007 at 12:52 AM
Congratulations dude. Use more disambiguation. That’ll move you up that list.
Griz on December 18, 2007 at 1:14 AM
I love Michelle, but you know… I don’t think her blog is all that.
For one thing, the layout sucks.
IMO.
Purple Fury on December 18, 2007 at 1:15 AM
You are a mean spirited right-winger, I can feel it. I would never rub your nose in your beta-hood like that AP.

Any kudos to Bryan?
Allah get the tiara, what about Bryan? A Wii?
Kini on December 18, 2007 at 3:33 AM
Well if it’s any consolation Allah, I think Debbie Schlussel is far more annoying than you are.
infidel4life on December 18, 2007 at 4:10 AM
Consistency is the bugbear of little minds. Heh.
HerrMorgenholz on December 18, 2007 at 6:09 AM
Bryan is great, but he’s nowhere near as annoying as AP. ;-)
Just imagine the post-mortem blogging if Julie Banderas started emailing him Alycia Lane-style.
Schweeeet…..
AP would be Number 1 Annoying with a rocket.
zb42 on December 18, 2007 at 6:37 AM
Sullivan is right of center? I call shenanigans.
Kevin M on December 18, 2007 at 6:53 AM
Very true. Let’s have that as a category next year :-)
steveegg on December 18, 2007 at 7:12 AM
You are irritating all the right people, Allah. That makes you number 1 in my book.

Huh…no mention whatsoever of that ‘Musclehead Revolution’ dork over at Town Hall?
That guy is to annoying what freaky is to deaky.
James on December 18, 2007 at 7:40 AM
Somebody needs to point out this other Andrew Sullivan to me. The one I keep running across is a left-of-center whacko.

Except for when she’s calling people “pan-jihadists” simply for holding libertarian views.
What’s with AP even being on the “annoying” list in the first place? That’s just silly.
